Well, Spa 101 is my go to , I'm not one to write reviews but they deserve one. I've been coming here for years and now under new management and even better. Worth every penny. Staff is professional, experienced, and attentive. Been an athlete, soldier, and trainer and coming here on a weekly basis for my recovery is exactly what my body needs. I got a 80 min deep tissue massage No pressure whatsoever. Before we stated I told him my shoulders were the worst. But also my arms He only worked on my shoulders for about 15 minutes. I assumed I wasn't relaxed yet and he would finish later. Then he went to my right arm. For less than 10 minutes a asked for more pressure because it was more like a back rub. It was only harder for a few minutes. Then my left arm. Again. Like a back rub. Not a deep tissue. So light I fell asleep. You should not be able to fall asleep during a deep tissue massage. There also shouldn't be a problem with me falling asleep. But. When I complained he kept saying I fell asleep like that was a problem. The table is also extremely narrow. Barely enough room for my arms at my side. Laying on your back trying to hold your arms up is not comfortable When he took the the eye Mask off and told me he was finished. I Burst into tears. I didn't feel much better than when I went in. He tried to justify it by tell me that the rest of my body felt better. Right. Then tried to blame it on me falling asleep. I saw this spa online I bought a deal on couples message they had for Saturday. At first I was a bit hesitant since I read mixed reviews. But here is our experience. I first contact them via email then I called them to make sure they had the Saturday I wanted available and I booked right away. Our appointment was for 11:00 a.m. we arrived there at 10:55 they were ready for us the receptionist and the two massage therapist greeted us Lyschel and Francine. My husband and I can truly say the 2 girls were very professional and it was the best massage either of us has had. They both have excellent massage techniques. The rooms are not the biggest but big enough as these 2 girls have a technique there was no bumping in to each other as I read online from other reviews. After they gave us our moment to settle in and lay down, We asked them if they could put music which they did. It was a peaceful instrumental music. After our massage they asked us if we wanted champagne or water we went for the champagne and they were waiting for us outside the Room with our cups of champagne. Right before leaving they validated our parking and they gave us wristbands so we can take advantage of the pool, jacuzzi, beach and the Greek restaurant. It was a fun and awesome experience. I bought a Groupon for my boyfriend and I for a couple's massage and this was a very nice experience. It's definitely different than other spa's I've been to that you get to relax in a robe, have something to drink, (they do give you water or champagne), & lounge. It's small, few rooms, you go in get your massage, and out. The hot tub is out on a rooftop area the sauna's are in the gym and not co-ed. Maybe it was different pre-covid. I did enjoy the service everyone was super nice. You get to enjoy the amenities which include the pool and the beach. 15% off of the Greek restaurant in the lobby which was really nice, happy hour from 3-7pm $5.00 appetizers and drinks. Not bad! We really enjoyed our day and would definitely do it again. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because it was not a traditional spa experience but again that can be because of covid. read more

Incredible hands! I visited 101 Spa last week with my partner for the Saturday Couples Massage special- and im so glad we did! (Be sure to visit their website for details, they offer a different special for each day of the week). 101 is located inside the hotel. Reception was kind and inviting. The location is cozy and serene with gentle calming essential oils in the air. Our Masuess used a combination of hot oils/hot towels and checked in about pressure. Everything was just top notch! Tip is already incl. in the final price (like with most places in SoBe) but the massage was so good, we tipped extra. Really nice vibe overall! read more

Let me start off by saying that this is a very small spa. The waiting room has about 3 comfy chairs and the massage rooms are about two feet away from the waiting room. The massage itself was great, my masseuse removed all my knots and I could tell she was very experienced BUT the ambiance of the spa just didn't allow me to fully relax. When I arrived with my friends, there was a man getting a pedicure in the waiting area. I found that so odd, and was a bit disgusted but sat down and waited to be called. When they started clipping his toe nails, I almost died because getting hit by a strangers toe nail is on my top ten list of fears. A toe nail landed right by my friend, and thankfully we were called in to our massage rooms shortly after. Once inside, I could hear the receptionist talking to the man getting the pedicure and I couldn't fully disconnect and relax. Although I bought a Groupon, it wasn't much cheaper than other spas in the area so I would probably have to pass on returning here. If you're a guest at the hotel and the spa is empty, go for it, since the masseuses are great but if you're a local looking for a relaxing day at the spa, unfortunately this isn't the place to go. read more

This is spa is a beautiful pearl tucked away in the Hilton-Bentley hotel. Upon arrival, the hostess and therapists greeted my wife and I welcomed us into their relaxing space. Both of our masseuses made us feel very comfortable and relaxed for our couple's massage. The massage itself was absolutely phenomenal. We both felt extremely relieved of any stress we were feeling prior. At the end of the massage, we were given each a glass of champagne (such a nice touch!). We proceeded to then get a manicure and pedicure. She got the mani where I got the pedi. Such a wonderful staff. They really go above and beyond for their customers. I bought a groupon before reading all of the horrific reviews that I found. I began trying to make my reservation and immediately some of them began to come true. They were not answering their phone. I finally called the Hilton and asked them about it. They informed me that they were under going a refit. That would have been super simple to put on the answering machine. Now, once we got the appointment scheduled everything went smooth. I had a great experience with Spa 101. They therapists were very professional and gave a good massage. The spa was very clean and quite nice. Here are my suggestions for using Spa 101: Make sure you go to the hotel desk as you go in. They have to give you a hotel key to use in the elevator so you can get to the spa. If you are doing a couples massage, the room is a bit small. Two tables in one room means that the other therapist will be bumping into your table. Make sure you tell the therapists areas that you want extra attention given to because they don't ask at the front desk or in the room. Take advantage of the fact that they validate $10 of your valet parking and stay for the rest of the day and enjoy the rest of the hotel amenities. The pool is nice and the drinks are great. Overall, a great experience! read more

Very very tiny spa at the far end of Ocean Drive. It's located within the Hilton Hotel. PROS: They have a pool and jacuzzi! I didn't realize how much I missed having a pool at the hotel until I stayed on Ocean Drive. Most of the hotels in the Art Deco district do not have pools. It's inexpensive, especially compared to some of the other spas in the area. During the week they were having massage specials for $99/hour. I would check the website out before you go. The staff is very friendly. When I first spoke to the woman on the phone when I was booking, she was very considerate when accommodating my large group. CONS: Like I said before, the place is really really small. They were only able to take 3 of us at a time for massages. This actually worked out fine because whoever wasn't getting a massage at the time, got to chill out by the pool! This is definitely a spot for the traveler in need of a bit of relaxation, who doesn't want to break their pockets. You can put the extra money you saved on your Mojito budget! read more

I went to Spa 101 on Sunday and it was a FABULOUS EXPERIENCE!!! It's a charming little place nestled on the 4th floor where it is quiet, relaxing, away from it all. Spa 101 is a nice change from the bigger, outrageously priced spas in South Beach. And the staff is very sweet and accommodating. The vibe is laid back and welcoming. I had a body scrub which was wonderful, followed by a pedicure which was perfect. I highly recommend Spa 101. I'm looking forward to a massage now! Going to state the obvious, yes the spa is small, but overall experience is great. You have access to all the hotel amenities ( jacuzzi, gym, sauna, pool and beach) which usually doesn't happen with other south beach hotel spas. Ambiance is nice and if you're looking for a little get away this is the spot. Friendly and helpful staff that are attentive and make sure you're feeling at ease. The spa, at the hotel that my wife and I stayed at, was being remodeled, so we looked around for a nearby spa, for massages. The prices at some of the spas were outrageous, then we found Spa 101 (a 2 minute walk from our hotel). Their regular prices were reasonable, but they have a weekday $99.00 special for Swedish massages. They were extremely pleasant over the phone, when we made the appointments. My wife got a Swedish, and I got a deep tissue massage. We got there a little early, and Katya greeted us with some champagne, and she was very friendly. Lyschel (hope I spelled her name correctly) did my massage. I told her about some injuries that I had, and other painful areas. She listened to me; she worked my whole body, but spent extra time on those areas. I told her about some knots that I had, she found them all, and worked them right out. I walked in with a sore neck, from weeks ago, and I felt incredible when I left. SHE DID A PHENOMENAL JOB. If you need a deep tissue, ask for Lyschel; very friendly, very knowledgeable, and VERY experienced . Another perk: after getting massages, we had access to the entire hotel, I worked out at their fitness center, then we went to the pool. We ordered food there, with a 15% discount given by the spa. I feel so sorry for my bestie who overpaid for this. Its totally not worth the price. The receptionist is on her phone and doesn't even look at you while speaking. The massage was awful, the worst I've had in Miami by far. There was no music while in the cabin (which was VERY small and not properly lighted), so i was hearing the breathing of the therapist the whole time. She asked if there were any specific areas where she should focus on, I told her that I only booked the massage because of the pain that i had on my back and neck. Got what I thought was a good deal on living social.. $100 for 60 min massage, 15 min facial & glass of wine. Had to make them change the sheets beause they were dirty, the oils smelled rancid and the massage sucked! They don't even provide the therapist with proper uniforms they were wearing gym clothes. Don't be fooled this is not a full service spa it's a closet with dividers, and those dividers are old wrinkled sheets! The jacuzzi and pool belong to the hotel and are available to all guests. The pool is not even on the same floor. The icing on the cake is having to pay 20% gratuity on a supposed full price of $230. I asked her to show me how they arrived at that number... All she could show is that it's $130 for 60 min massage and the rest is $100 for a 15 min facial that was nothing but covering my face is disgusting oils and pinching my cheeks. For the $150 I spent I could have gone to any top spa and had an amazing day at the spa! Would give 0 stars if I could!!! read more
