I have foolishly slept on Cubano (Cuban) sandwiches! No more! After the 1st bite, I knew why so many ppl love this sandwich!! The staff were super helpful and friendly

I had a long weekend of traveling and Nashville was the next trip on the list. My body was desperate for something healthier and filling and coming to Soy Cubano was the perfect pick! My Yelp bestie took us to The Wash. There were plenty of other options nearby, but she told me the pollo a la plancha fit my description. I'm so happy I got this. We ordered takeout, but waited at one of the outdoor covered tables (everything at The Wash is outside). For a super affordable dish, you get plantains, yuca, rice and beans, and super delicious chicken. Although my review is just on this chicken dish, it was so tasty I am sure other things on their menu is just as delicious.

Soy cubano is def the most anticipated and must sought after spot in this outdoor food hall. I believe they bring the people in and for a good reason. I will preface that I am not a huge Cuban sandwich fan but I think they could take the cake for one of the best I've had. Nothing close to what Miami has but this is going to be the best you can get in Nashville for sure. Great lunch spot! Rough when it's super hot out because there is zero indoor seating. All outdoor

I got a sandwich and it was delicious, albeit the meat was a bit chewy but packed with flavortown. Parking's iffy but I would come back

This is the place I'll go to when I need my Cuban food fix. I got the pernil with congri and yuca with platanos. The rice was a little dry as was the pernil, but it was still good. I wish the yuca had more mojo as well. The flan was amazing, really enjoyed it. Overall I will be coming back when I'm craving Cuban food, which is often.

What a tasty little stall in The Wash! I recently stopped by Soy Cubano for a weekday lunch, and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a midday meal that's hearty and quick. I ordered online in advance, and my order was ready when I arrived 15 minutes later! Parking can be a bit confusing if you're not familiar with the area - but I found a spot on the street nearby with no issues. While this spot is known for its Cuban sandwich, I took the recommendation of a friend and ordered one of the plates. The Pollo a la Plancha is tons of food for $14 - tasty grilled chicken, savory black beans, perfectly cooked rice, and even a side of plantains! I also couldn't resist tacking on an order of beef empanadas, which were phenomenal. Some of the best I've had!

Part of "The Wash," an outdoor food court of diverse cuisines. Parking available on side streets nearby. Very quick service on a weekday evening. Ordered the frita burger and their current special, the ropa vieja (pulled pork on rice with sides of plantains and yuca). The star of the show for me were the sides; the plantain was sweet and a little crispy on the outside, and the yuca had a great partially mashed texture. The mains were too salty for me but very filling!

This is my second Soy Cubano experience, but first one for breakfast. They only provide window service, but have some outdoor seating available when the weather is nice. We took our food to go, and I was ready to dig in! I ordered the black bean chilaquiles, and man was it good! Everything was so flavorful, and made for a great bite! Tortilla chips, cooked in black beans, with two fried eggs....yum. And the garlic aioli, sriracha, and manchego to top it off was absolute perfection. The portion was pretty big, so I had a little left for later. Of course, I also had to get the guava cream cheese pastry for dessert. Let's just say I was all smiles when I was done. Safe to say Soy Cubano is normally in my list when I visit Nashville!

    Cuban Sandwich. Very yummy.

Very good. I have no complaints. Although I will say I didn't think the Cuban sandwich was better than any other I've had, it was a great sandwich. There's NO indoor seating. You order at a window outside. Pro tip: you can have your sandwich delivered to the Bay 6 bar which has indoor seating with AC. Have a cocktail while you enjoy your sandwich. Pro tip 2: the parking lot is tiny but there's plenty of free street parking in the neighborhood behind the restaurant.

    Empanadas - amazing!

Cuban sandwiches are amazing! Plantains are amazing! Empanadas are so good! We also got the special but I don't know what it's called. My boyfriend loved it. We're from South Florida and this place tastes just like home. Came on a Saturday and they were open until 8:30pm. We almost didn't come because the hours online say they close at 8. I'm glad we called ahead and made it. This place is amazing! You order at a window and they have a covered area for you to sit at. The girls go took our order brought us our food. She was very nice. They also have an outdoor fire pit and one of the restaurants in the plaza is a cute bar. Fun place to hangout!

    Great place...AUTHENTIC!!!!

Great place ....food is definitely authentic and very good! Had the Cubano sandwich. Cool seating outside with ac and fans.

One of the best Cubanos I have had was a place called Kool Korner in Atlanta (now south of Birmingham). The other best have been in Florida, primarily in the Miami-Dade area. This ranks up there, although a bit lower in my opinion. Let's set the scene. I was talking to someone whose family is from Cuba and said I would buy some Cuban food from Soy Cubano so we could try it. Another friend asked if I could get more, and so on. So, here is the menu for the night: Appetizers Beef Empanadas & Ham Croquetas Sammies Cuban Sandwich Frita Cuban Burger Mains Bistec de Palomilla Arroz Con Pollo Pollo a la Pancha Sides Black Beans and Rice Yucca Fried Plantains As a side note, the meals come with plantains and yucca, so you can save yourself some money (and leftovers) if you order meals. My view of the food. Appetizers: The ham croquetas were good, although I don't feel the aioli added anything. The beef empanadas were pretty pedestrian, although the beef does have a nice flavor. Next time, I will try the guava cream pastry and forgo both of these for other items I like better. Sandwiches: Cubana was good, but did not knock my socks off. I think I would much rather get a mojo pork platter, if offered, than the sandwich. The burger was unique (ground beef & pork + choriza with tomato sauce, swiss cheese and potato sticks) and tasty, although I don't think I would go that direction of. I am curious about the Chicken Cuban Club and Bikini Sandwich (manchego cheese with portabello mushrooms and truffle butter). Mains & Sides: The beans & rice are good, although even better underneath the palomilla. Arroz con Pollo was very good, although the Pollo a la Pancha stole the day for me. Chicken marinated in mojo with grilled onions on top. Chef's kiss. I always love friend plantains, so no issue here, and found yucca served more like boiled potatoes to be very nice. I could order those with a sandwich and be very happy. I will return at some point, but likely a stop at Two Peruvian Chefs first.

The only thing I'll note is that it has very limited seating and parking was not the best. Parking was kind of typical for the area, but there are maybe 8-10 spots and basically no standing/waiting area. Despite that, it's got some interesting spots right next door (I think one was a library/bookstore). I could see it being a little afternoon adventure.

Yellow Table has been open for just over a year in the Eastwood Village complex that seemingly overnight brought us a coworking space, cute plant shop, wine bar, book shop, etc, and Yellow Table really rounds it out as the lone spot in this area for breakfast, coffee, or lunch. The vibe is cozy neighborhood cafe, and the service is always welcoming and incredibly personable (I almost always see the owner herself serving up food to customers with a smile!) The food is what truly stands out to me about this spot. I fell in love with buckwheat crepes on a trip to France a few years ago but there are few places in Nashville serving decent crepes, let alone buckwheat ones. Yellow Table offers sweet and savory crepe options, all cooked perfectly lightly crispy and fresh with that incredible nutty buckwheat flavor, exactly how it should be done. My favorites have been the savory crepes, particularly the build your own with prosciutto, leek, spinach, and cheddar - a filling, tasty, and decently healthy option for $15. There's also coffee and tea, pastries, salads, soups (with bread from the amazing wine bar next door), and rotating specials each day. There's limited seating: a few two or three person tables and one shared table inside; in warmer months there are also a few small tables outside. But the WiFi is decent and I see a lot of folks coming here to do a bit of work while grabbing a bite. In just a year Yellow Table Cafe has already made itself an indelible East Nashville neighborhood gem. With the tastiest crepes to grace the Nashville dining scene, chill vibes, warm service, and reasonable prices, here's to hoping for many more wonderful years serving the community for this spot!

The outdoor seating is spacious and shaded, great for dining in. We ordered the advertised espresso drink with orange zest cold foam 3/5. Very little flavor from the cold foam, but not bad overall. French toast 5/5. More than enough is given for you to share with someone. It was too much for one person to eat. The flambé banana that comes on top was the perfect added touch. The cooks were throwing down in that kitchen! Over a couple of days I tried a few things. SZECHUAN SALAD I got the Szechuan Salad with both kale and spinach. I added tempeh bacon and extra dressing on the side. (It didn't need the extra dressing though.) This salad is SO good! I had to force myself to put the fork down and not overeat. It's a large portion so you can share or save half for another day. (When doing this I recommend getting the dressings on the side to prevent soggy greens.) All of the ingredients tasted super fresh, and that Szechuan tofu was thoroughly marinated. Deliciousness! The tempeh (and at home avocado) that I added wasn't necessary but it sure was tasty. This salad is gluten free. SZECHUAN BRUSSELS I love me some roasted brussels sprouts so it was a must to try theirs. I added jalapeños and Hot Tempeh. I have no idea what Hot Tempeh is but I wanted to try it. Best decision ever. The dish itself is amazing. 10/10!
