So we have come here several times for different occasions and today was the least enjoyable. For the good part of the visit: I love their outdoors area. The tent and bar area are great. They have also really step it up with the games and playing area for kids to just run around and enjoy their time while parents and adults can also enjoy their time. The food has gotten better but I'm still not impressed so I still think they're overpriced. Service: they did "try" to work it out but very poorly. My sister made a reservation for 13 people but somehow they only had one our reservation, quote "10 or 11 people" so they were not prepared either way. We only had 1 extra person showed up. They gave us one (1) picnic table for our party. Even if it was "10 or 11" of us we would have not fit in one of the picnic tables even adding the two chairs at the end, and we didn't. It's better to say they made a mistake than to blame the patrons. There were 2 open tables that could have been used but our server wasn't assigned them... the must dumb excuse on the book. I've worked in restaurants and we always made it work for the customer and the serve, mind you, they were right next to each other. Communication between managers, servers and host/hostess could have been better. Also, I don't like they make you share tables with people you don't know. I love meeting people but this isn't Monell's y'all. Get different kind of seating if you are not going to be open seating in that area. It makes it less awkward to our wallets when we are all chilling and ask, "can we seat here" knowing that you have to say "yes, sure" unless you have your people coming to save you. Overall all, having overwhelmed staff for a planned holiday that happens every years is just unpreparedness of the establishment and a sour taste to the customer. Came in after dinner elsewhere and ordered a pitcher of margaritas for $10 off on happy hour (ends at 6 pm). Flavor was good (a bit too sweet for my liking), yet I'm not a huge fan of premixed drinks on tap. Either way, we enjoyed our time sitting at the bar with good, friendly service from Lindsay. Tax on a $28 pitcher was $6. I like when restaurants/bars have the taxes added in prior to avoid surprises. The first day we were in Nashville, I had wanted to eat here, however, their parking lot was full and my belly was too empty to deal with finding a parking spot. So, on our last day, we swung by and found a parking spot right at the front. Looking for gluten free restaurants can be challenging. I found this location through a Yelp search. It was easy to find. There's limited parking up front but more on the side lot. I've been there 4 times and only once there was only one spot available in the side lot. Seating was quick. We decided to sit outside in the covered patio. It was a picnic table setting. They did have regular seating inside. It did take about 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us but once we did get a server he was very friendly and knew the menu very well. It's really a fun atmosphere. Plenty of room to roam for children. The menu had tons of gluten free options. We ordered the gluten free nachos with salsa, Cantina burrito bowl $11. The service was fine, nothing to write home about. The real star of the show I didn't get a picture of. The guacamole! Definitely get it! My husband had the burrito and said the bowl is better but it was still great. I had the tacos and while the chicken was fantastic and packed with flavor, the shrimp fell short. A decent place for a casual bite but didn't impress me given all the great Mexican restaurants available. We made an outdoor patio reservation for an event with ~20 attendees, weeks in advance and I'm glad I arrived early because no one seemed to be aware of our reservation, despite confirming again a few days before the date. They were scrambling to find tables for us, which was a bit embarrassing when people started to show up for our event. The food was just ok, not worth the drive out to Donelson unless you live in that area and the service and parking situation were pretty awful. I tried to be understanding because it was one of the first days we've had with nice weather and they were busy, but that's why we made a reservation to ensure we had space and a dedicated server or two. The birria taco however was not as good, if im going to have beef or pork like this it has to be super tender and fall apart, the texture was too tough.
