Now it is dusty and musty: the shine is no more here. The wallpaper in my suite was coming loose, pink grime and dust on the bathroom grout and corners, unpleasant odor from the toilet plumbing, and unappealing breakfast! The TV remote and channels were from decades past. The lukewarm scrambled egg made from powder, heated frozen sausage patties and potatoes not quite warm enough, and some unappealing muffins and doughnut-looking baked goods...I didn't stop to inspect further. Old is okay but unclean is not. Simple food is okay but poor quality food at improper temperature is not. A single fresh fruit is better than a mush blend of dissolving fruit. I thought I was treating myself by booking here.... Can you go buy some real food for tomorrow's breakfast? Please? Pros: Friendly staff, quick service, nice desk and lamps, comfortable furniture and plenty of space in the suite.

No bottled water. No minibar. No shower gel, just bar soap. No slippers. A TV remote that has options like Netflix but it isn't offered. Lousy coffee (only one kind) with only powdered milk. No slippers. No pen/paper. Etc., etc.

We spent one night at this pretty little B&B in the University Circle neighborhood of Cleveland. My…read morepartner was checking out the CWRU law program, so we were really conveniently located for the purpose. Martha is very nice, and arranged things with us on an individual basis. For example, she let us check-in at noon. She also asked us about any special diet needs, and happily cooked us a vegetarian breakfast casserole. Our room was small but nice, and our bed was very comfortable. As the other reviewer stated, there are even plush, terrycloth bathrobes hanging in the closets. Martha helped us figure out where we were going and supplied us with an area map. After a long day of walking around town, we spent the evening drinking a bottle of wine and enjoying the large TV in the breakfast area. The only reason I wouldn't go to five stars is because of the bathroom. Firstly, we had to share it with the other guests, which wasn't really appropriate for the price we paid ($130 all told w/ taxes and parking). Secondly, the bathroom was next to our bedroom, so we got to hear everyone pad to and from it in the middle of the night. However, besides that one draw back, I would recommend it as a good place to stay for anyone checking out the campus, art museum, or botanical gardens.

This place serves as an inviting home away from home in a beautiful turn-of-the-century house at the edge of University Circle. This B&B has quiet, nice-sized rooms that are appointed with all the creature comforts - down to the plush terrycloth robe in the closet! The breakfast was lovely (and very filling!) and served in a beautiful dining area. There's a comfy living room where you can curl up and read a magazine. I thoroughly enjoyed my conversations with proprietor Gary, who made me feel like a welcome member of the family. If you're looking for an alternative to an impersonal hotel, this is a great place to stay!

It's an amazing resource for anyone who is being treated for cancer. Everyone I've met has been friendly from administrators to volunteers to the other patients. There is reserved parking for patients and caregivers. When I relieved my son's previous caregiver I was taken on a tour of the facility. There is a large dining area with three kitchens for food preparation. Across one wall is a very large pantry subdivided by patient room numbers. Each patient is given space for refrigerated, dry and frozen food. There is a large sitting area with a piano and a tv. Lots of squishy comfortable chairs dot the area as well. There are also pillows and throw blankets. The basement level has the mechanical rooms as well as a sitting area with a tv and board games as well. There is also a small fitness room with a pool table. The second floor has a seating area at the top of the staircase and a library. The rest of the floor is patient rooms. There is a laundry room on each floor as well. For patients with limited mobility the facility also has an elevator. The elevator has a chair with a blanket on it. In the back of the facility there's a large lawn and garden area with a small pond filled with koi. There are benches and chairs scattered around and a small gazebo. BBQ grills are available on a patio as well. The facility is located very close to a major cancer treatment center. It's a short walk out the back parking lot and across a street. There are also a great many restaurants nearby as well as a Rapid stop. Little Italy is a short walk as are a great many museums.

This is not a fancy hotel…read more Clean. Good toilet paper. The soft kind. Good Kleenex facial tissues. The soft kind. Good water pressure and good amount of hot water. Did not like the way the shower door opens in relation to the shower head --water sprays out a little. Toiletries like shampoo and conditioner did not smell high end. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast w assorted proteins--egg sausage--carbs--hash browns, cereal etc. Coffee w available to go cups and creamer so you can help yourself. Clean buffet area and clean breakfast area. Spacious room w full kitchen which we did not use. Unclear why we booked this large of a room w amenities we didn't Need or use. But if you stay more than a day--a full sized fridge and kitchen are fire!! I would gladly trade shi-shi toiletries for a good kitchen in that case! Very Good for what it is. 5/5 Don't expect people to kowtow to you but the folks are nice enough. Sorry no good pics. Was tired. We got in late.

I believe I stayed off the 6th floor the first time and this room literally had 0 water pressure in the shower. Shower would start up by literally dripping from faucet head and then a small stream but would not get any better. Literally took 3x longer to shower (absolutely sucks with long hair), occasionally the shower would basically die on me and shut off even though it was still on. I had enough and requested a room change but the pressure wasn't much better maybe cause I was staying on a higher floor? My co worker who stayed on the 2nd floor, went to his room and his water pressure was fine. Fix your pipes is my only recommendation

We stayed here to kick off our road trip week…read more The hotel lobby is gorgeous. High saturation and contrast with eye catching decor like marble, crystal chandeliers, tufted seating. Check in was seamless and quick. The hotel was pretty busy because there was a cavs playoff game that day. The elevators are interesting. You select your floor on a wall panel and you are directed to the elevator that will be taking you to your floor. Only had to share an elevator with another human once. The room was also very nice and impressively sized with separate bed and sitting areas and a very large TV with the ability to connect to streaming services. The view was trash, basically the roof of an adjacent building followed by other tall buildings. For this reason, the room was on the darker side/lacking in natural light. The shower was right next to the bed with opaque glass. Location is fantastic. Right spank in the middle of downtown cleveland and within walking distance from many downtown attractions including sporting events, shopping, restaurants, bars, arcade, etc. We randomly didn't get any housekeeping services. Idk if that is a thing or intentional or whatever but it wasn't mentioned at check in. We had to ask for more towels. Also the coffee machine is basically a decoration because the cord doesn't reach an outlet. There were no outlets on one side of the bed. There was one day where it smelled terrible in the lobby for a few hours. I don't know what that was about. We didn't have any issues with cleanliness of the room other than the lack of housekeeping. I would stay here again if the price was right because there certainly are limitations.

There are Yelp reviews from 7-9 months ago, at the time I am writing this, referencing complaints to management about room cleaning and overall cleanliness of the hotel. Nothing has been rectified based upon those complaints. I'd argue it is worse. There is a think layer of dust blanketing almost every non-obvious surface in rooms, in common areas, and on some walls. The floors and carpets that are not vacuumed by their robots show a buildup of dirt and dust. Housekeeping could not be bothered to care to change sheets, take dirty towels, dust, remove trash...care... On the slight positive, the people who are at the hotel that are trying, maintenance, engineering, the front desk staff, and the bartenders at the various venues, are still top notch. It no longer makes up for what used to be one of Cleveland's better hotels in years past. The management of the hotel should be replaced. Ownership should lose their tax abatements.
