The apartment has lots of natural light and closet space! The whole complex is super clean, renovated and up to date! There is a great gym with a huge selection of fitness equipment. I can't wait till summer to tan by the pool. The best part is the location. I can walk to Whole Foods and do all my grocery shopping! Lakewood is filled with cute fun bars! The quiet enjoyment here is something I haven't experienced in years -- it's calm, safe, and truly restorative. The view from the top floor is incredible. My cat, Romeo, spends his days looking out the windows like he's watching over the whole city. It brings me so much joy to see him so content. They have been remodeling all their units too so if you're going to be a new tenant you are getting a newly renovated unit. There is a big fenced in dog park. And the hot tub is indoor so it is open year round! The clubhouse was also fully remodeled last year, so it's all new and beautiful. There's even a dog wash station in the clubhouse! They are really good about cleaning their amenities which is so nice because I have lived in many apartments growing up and I would never set foot in their pools. But the pool, hot tub and gym at Sturbridge are always cleaned and maintained. Everyone in the office and the maintenance team are all so amazing and helpful. Turn around time for a maintenance request is usually quick and done if not the same day then the very next day. I loved all the attention to detail from the staff when it came to decorating for the holidays! I only left because I got married and I am moving out of the country. We let the office staff know that there were very few parking spots due to our apartment letting the next door condo tenants park in our parking lot. (Note that upon move in, they issued us a parking sticker which means nothing because it doesn't get enforced). When we called, the office stated that if we have no parking by our building, drive 1 mile down the road and park at another building. (This is still an ongoing issue.) THEN... they leave us a note saying that they are redoing our balcony and that it would be 8-14 days. That was in September and they still are not done and we cannot go onto our balcony. (And then start another project with the doors!) Maintenance is goo but this place starts too many projects and can't finish them all timely. Also, they have no regard for their tenants. There is ALWAYS a "solution" to tenant issues.

The recent fire was deeply disheartening--especially after all the effort that went into remodeling the building's facade, installing a new entrance, and refreshing the brickwork and paint. Yet in the aftermath, Westbury responded swiftly and professionally. Restoration crews were present around the clock, and professional cleaners were brought in to remove dust and debris from affected units across three floors. My own door took two days to secure, and when it loosened again weeks later, the office responded the same day to address it. Karen, the Office Manager, has been consistently kind, composed, and responsive--no matter the situation or the personalities involved. When I shared my discouragement about the condition of the fifth floor and the emotional toll of coming home to a damaged environment, she responded with heartfelt understanding and immediately coordinated with the head contractor to schedule a proper door replacement or repair. This is an older complex, and no building is immune to hardship. But I've witnessed firsthand how Westbury's management remains attentive, proactive, and committed to doing what is right--not just legally, but morally. Unfortunately, rumors and misinformation have clouded the reputation of this community, especially online. Even a recent false alarm added to the strain. It seems management can't catch a break, and yet they continue to show up, listen, and act. I've lived on this side of town long enough to know the cost of leaving--I've broken two leases and paid nearly $8,000 to do so. After the fire, many residents chose to move out, and I could have joined them. But I stayed, because I've sincerely enjoyed living at Westbury. If I move in the future, it will be for proximity to work--not dissatisfaction. So today, I offer a single good word. It's a start--and it's deserved. The townhouses are steps away from the Berea Post Office, the Berea Library and Pizza King. The back of the apartments over look Coe lake. The only downside to living in the townhouses is that you still have to share a bedroom. My senior year my roomie (Amy 2) got the top bunk. I am too lazy to crawl up there when I am tired. B-W pays for everything here...heat, water, sewer, cable, and phone. It has all the perks of living in a dorm but without most of the hassles.
