I lived here 9 years and it was horrible every step of the way. This place is infested with…read moremultiple species of cockroaches, there's mold everywhere, they do not clean the stairwells literally ever, and there's a water leak somewhere almost constantly, resulting in weekly water shut offs. The building manager is barely there, so ann old bigoted woman who cannot help you in anyway with anything is the point of contact most days, and the owners are beyond rude. The apartments come dirty, and then they charge you for it when you leave, even if you live there 9 years and leave it spotless. The pool burns your skin because the idiots don't know how to take care of it. The parking lot will give you a flat tire. The elevators break down monthly and it took them a year to fix the one. The list goes on. It's a terrible place to live and you should absolutely never consider this shit hole.

The apartment has lots of natural light and closet space! The whole complex is super clean, renovated and up to date! There is a great gym with a huge selection of fitness equipment. I can't wait till summer to tan by the pool. The best part is the location. I can walk to Whole Foods and do all my grocery shopping! Lakewood is filled with cute fun bars! Living at 1 OAK has made me love Cleveland. I HIGHLY recommend this building. Management also let me know they are installing a Starbucks machine in the lobby!!!

A Well Deserved Word of Appreciation for Westbury Apartments!!!…read more I've lived at Westbury Apartments since April 2024, and while the past year and a half has brought its share of challenges, I feel it's time to offer a word of encouragement to the management and staff who continue to serve this community with diligence and grace. The recent fire was deeply disheartening--especially after all the effort that went into remodeling the building's facade, installing a new entrance, and refreshing the brickwork and paint. Yet in the aftermath, Westbury responded swiftly and professionally. Restoration crews were present around the clock, and professional cleaners were brought in to remove dust and debris from affected units across three floors. My own door took two days to secure, and when it loosened again weeks later, the office responded the same day to address it. Karen, the Office Manager, has been consistently kind, composed, and responsive--no matter the situation or the personalities involved. When I shared my discouragement about the condition of the fifth floor and the emotional toll of coming home to a damaged environment, she responded with heartfelt understanding and immediately coordinated with the head contractor to schedule a proper door replacement or repair. This is an older complex, and no building is immune to hardship. But I've witnessed firsthand how Westbury's management remains attentive, proactive, and committed to doing what is right--not just legally, but morally. Unfortunately, rumors and misinformation have clouded the reputation of this community, especially online. Even a recent false alarm added to the strain. It seems management can't catch a break, and yet they continue to show up, listen, and act. I've lived on this side of town long enough to know the cost of leaving--I've broken two leases and paid nearly $8,000 to do so. After the fire, many residents chose to move out, and I could have joined them. But I stayed, because I've sincerely enjoyed living at Westbury. If I move in the future, it will be for proximity to work--not dissatisfaction. So today, I offer a single good word. It's a start--and it's deserved. Accolades to Westbury Management, maintenance, cleaning staff, and especially Karen. You've gone above and beyond, and I see it. Thank you. "Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." -- Galatians 6:9 Sincerely, Peggy Stewart (North Olmsted Resident)

I used to work at a construction company cinderblocks are not 100% concrete blocks are a mixture of concrete Then they proceeded to do construction underneath my window for 212 days Table saw tub saw, saw partner saw Makita grinder, top pointing blades, cutting granite, slabs, handheld saws, vibrating the windows and vibrating the unit intensely for 30 to 60 days claiming this is all legal Could not sleep properly for the seven month rental the entire time The intense above Guantánamo Bay torture lasted for approximately 30 to 60 days Construction proceed for 200+ days... The Castlewood Apartments made a deal with the construction worker so they can live on site meaning the workers are living in the building and probably still are to this day What was done to me at the Castlewood Apartments was highly unacceptable It was legal the entire time torturing a torture victim, while taking money from them very insane behavior... The people who worked there are very nice people... The maintenance guy is one of the nicest people I have met in the state of Ohio who works there He's also probably underpaid and underappreciated They basically use him to do everything in the building and yes, he is a black man love all people just being honest how the maintenance man was being treated by the corporate office was very upsetting to me

I have lived in Castlewood for four years. There are several reasons I love living here:…read more- The apartments only share one wall with a neighbor. The master bedrooms are in the center and don't share a wall with neighbors. This helps keep it quiet. - The office staff is wonderful! Sherrie and Lisa are so kind and they always go the extra mile. They try to make the best experiences for residents hosting events, taking care of issues and constantly working to improve the building. If you have any issue, they take it seriously and do their best to handle it quickly. They take the time to get to know the residents and they really care about your experience here. - The maintenance team. Chris and Al are the best! Unlike other places I've lived, they really respect that your apartment is your home. They get to jobs quickly and always ask if there is anything else they can help with. Even if it's just a flickering lightbulb they get to it right away. - You can easily walk to all the best places on Detroit. We have underground parking - that is included in rent - so you don't have to worry about street parking.
