It's been closed for months, and who knows if it will ever open again. The "gym" is I tiny little room with a 1970s bicycle, free weights and treadmill. The hot tub water barely moves around. You'd better use these amenities before 9pm, they lock it up at night. The parking situation is an absolute nightmare. There aren't enough parking spaces, and the board has a man walk through the parking lot between 10-2 at night. What a great feeling to come home in the middle of the night, only to see a man writing down license plate numbers and photographing cars...NOT. even better? The $50 parking ticket you receive for parking where you live! If you have a two year old that wants to walk in the grass and play with the leaves come fall time, don't do it here! If you live in the building and attempt to do ANYTHING outside of your unit with a child, expect a member of the board to approach you and tell you, "this isn't a playground". We're not talking about kids playing baseball, if you literally walk with your child on the property WHERE YOU LIVE, they will tell you that you aren't allowed. If you are an adult human being and enjoy living like you're in a prison camp: this is the place for you. The board members patrol the building like prison guards, constantly telling residents what to do, even if it ISN'T in the bylaws. If you want to live a quiet and peaceful life, and you font bother anyone, and you don't want to be bothered: RUN!

The apartments are decent. Extremely small but if you care more about granite countertops and a…read morewasher/dryer combo that takes 6 hours to do a load then you'll love it here. The prices are a bit high considering the space because they put so much money into the materials to renovate. I think they need to look into ways to renovate the apartments, but not have to spend so much money to keep the rent down. I could pretty much hear my downstairs neighbor's conversations. I lived above a young couple who eventually got pregnant so those conversations eventually turned into fights, and it wasn't fun. I didn't have to deal with the staff until the move out process which has been horrendous. Lack of communication and lack of organization would be the best way to describe the experience. They asked to move a new tenant into my apartment sooner than my lease was going to end and I agreed because they said they would refund me the prorated rent. They failed to tell me when the guy was going to be moving in and he moved in without my notice, they didn't inform me of do a walk through to evaluate the condition of my apartment to determine how much of my security deposit I would be getting back, I had to constantly reach out to them in order to get updates of when i would be receiving the security deposit and a refund, the manager told me both were sent out and only one came so I had to reach out to her multiple times only to find that she as mixing up her information about almost everything. Eventually it came down to me only receiving half the refund I was supposed to get and about a week after I was supposed to get it. Would not recommend.

The best thing about Sturbridge is the maintenance team. They are truly stellar, good guys. The…read morerest is crap for what you pay. If you like dog poop throughout the grass areas, unclean TRASHY neighbors, dirty hallways, unprofessional office staff, garbage overflowing, dogs barking all night long, mice in the walls, unsafe fireplaces, mold, shady business tactics, then you won't mind living in this dump. I highly recommend speaking with the neighbors and looking elsewhere if you're looking for a safe place to call home or a home where you will experience peace and quiet. You can get much better for the price you'll pay. THEY WILL RAISE YOU RENT EXPONENTIALLY EACH YEAR. They are not BBB members, and if you do your research, you'll find some other very honest, compelling reviews. Their rating with BBB, by the way, is just a little over 2 stars. One of many examples of this trashy place: https://www.cleveland.com/community/2022/04/early-morning-hot-tub-fight-sends-man-to-hospital-westlake-police-blotter.html

They have been remodeling all their units too so if you're going to be a new tenant you are getting a newly renovated unit. There is a big fenced in dog park. And the hot tub is indoor so it is open year round! The clubhouse was also fully remodeled last year, so it's all new and beautiful. There's even a dog wash station in the clubhouse! They are really good about cleaning their amenities which is so nice because I have lived in many apartments growing up and I would never set foot in their pools. But the pool, hot tub and gym at Sturbridge are always cleaned and maintained. Everyone in the office and the maintenance team are all so amazing and helpful. Turn around time for a maintenance request is usually quick and done if not the same day then the very next day. I loved all the attention to detail from the staff when it came to decorating for the holidays! I only left because I got married and I am moving out of the country. I do miss living at Sturbridge and highly recommend anyone looking for an apartment to check them out and take a tour!
