The apartments come dirty, and then they charge you for it when you leave, even if you live there 9 years and leave it spotless. The pool burns your skin because the idiots don't know how to take care of it. The parking lot will give you a flat tire. The elevators break down monthly and it took them a year to fix the one. The list goes on. It's a terrible place to live and you should absolutely never consider this shit hole.

I stayed here for 3 months while I was finding a house after mine sold. I paid a $400 pet deposit and also extra money per month for having a pet. This was on top of the high amount of rent I paid for having a 3 month lease. The day I got my keys they informed me that my private garage was damaged and I wouldn't have it for a while. I did not complain or ask to have money taken off my lease. I believe it took 2 months until the garage was fixed. Then there was a leak in the hot water tank room that I didn't know about until I came home and they had entered my apartment without contacting me first and moved things around and didn't put them back. I let that go as well. The next day I noticed mold on the walls likely from the leak. I had about a 2 weeks left on my lease at this point. They didn't take care of that until after I moved out. I let that go as well. Then after several weeks of being out of the apartment, I get an invoice showing I owe over $900 because my pet urinated on the carpet. My dog has never urinated inside. Not even when he was a puppy. They showed me 2 pictures of the carpet pulled back with marks on the bottom of it. They claim they pull back the carpet after every lease to check but they refuse to send me the pictures from the carpet before I moved in. Plus, where the spots were were under my furniture. They are making this up to have me pay for new carpet. They are unethical liars.

The quiet enjoyment here is something I haven't experienced in years -- it's calm, safe, and truly restorative. The view from the top floor is incredible. My cat, Romeo, spends his days looking out the windows like he's watching over the whole city. It brings me so much joy to see him so content. The staff here deserves special recognition: * Lisa, the supervisor, is steady, kind, and professional. * Carol, who helped me lease the apartment, made the entire process smooth and encouraging, she is the reason I came. * Julie and Joe have been warm, welcoming, and consistently helpful, Julie gave me the keys when I took possession. * And the maintenance team has been wonderful -- patient, skilled, and quick to help, even with things like curtain rods that I can't measure to save my life. After working seven days straight, including a double shift, I came home tonight, sat down with a glass of wine, and felt nothing but gratitude. They have been remodeling all their units too so if you're going to be a new tenant you are getting a newly renovated unit. There is a big fenced in dog park. And the hot tub is indoor so it is open year round! The clubhouse was also fully remodeled last year, so it's all new and beautiful. There's even a dog wash station in the clubhouse! They are really good about cleaning their amenities which is so nice because I have lived in many apartments growing up and I would never set foot in their pools. But the pool, hot tub and gym at Sturbridge are always cleaned and maintained. Everyone in the office and the maintenance team are all so amazing and helpful. Turn around time for a maintenance request is usually quick and done if not the same day then the very next day. I loved all the attention to detail from the staff when it came to decorating for the holidays! I only left because I got married and I am moving out of the country. (Note that upon move in, they issued us a parking sticker which means nothing because it doesn't get enforced). When we called, the office stated that if we have no parking by our building, drive 1 mile down the road and park at another building. (This is still an ongoing issue.) THEN... they leave us a note saying that they are redoing our balcony and that it would be 8-14 days. That was in September and they still are not done and we cannot go onto our balcony. (And then start another project with the doors!) Maintenance is goo but this place starts too many projects and can't finish them all timely. Also, they have no regard for their tenants. There is ALWAYS a "solution" to tenant issues.

Room and stinks of mold and mildew. Laundry room is horrible. People have no consideration for others and leave there clothes in the washers and dryers for days. If you need a free shower use the entrance to the garage the ceiling leaks of water all the time. Ceiling also leaks next to the party room with buckets filled with water. The garage ceiling is caving in and will do severe damage to your car The back parking lot is horrible. Got several nails in my tires The police department is always there dealing with people's issues who live there. A Well Deserved Word of Appreciation for Westbury Apartments!!!…read more I've lived at Westbury Apartments since April 2024, and while the past year and a half has brought its share of challenges, I feel it's time to offer a word of encouragement to the management and staff who continue to serve this community with diligence and grace. The recent fire was deeply disheartening--especially after all the effort that went into remodeling the building's facade, installing a new entrance, and refreshing the brickwork and paint. Yet in the aftermath, Westbury responded swiftly and professionally. Restoration crews were present around the clock, and professional cleaners were brought in to remove dust and debris from affected units across three floors. My own door took two days to secure, and when it loosened again weeks later, the office responded the same day to address it. Karen, the Office Manager, has been consistently kind, composed, and responsive--no matter the situation or the personalities involved. When I shared my discouragement about the condition of the fifth floor and the emotional toll of coming home to a damaged environment, she responded with heartfelt understanding and immediately coordinated with the head contractor to schedule a proper door replacement or repair. This is an older complex, and no building is immune to hardship. But I've witnessed firsthand how Westbury's management remains attentive, proactive, and committed to doing what is right--not just legally, but morally. Unfortunately, rumors and misinformation have clouded the reputation of this community, especially online. Even a recent false alarm added to the strain. It seems management can't catch a break, and yet they continue to show up, listen, and act. I've lived on this side of town long enough to know the cost of leaving--I've broken two leases and paid nearly $8,000 to do so. After the fire, many residents chose to move out, and I could have joined them. But I stayed, because I've sincerely enjoyed living at Westbury. If I move in the future, it will be for proximity to work--not dissatisfaction. So today, I offer a single good word. It's a start--and it's deserved. The townhouses are steps away from the Berea Post Office, the Berea Library and Pizza King. The back of the apartments over look Coe lake. The only downside to living in the townhouses is that you still have to share a bedroom. My senior year my roomie (Amy 2) got the top bunk. I am too lazy to crawl up there when I am tired. B-W pays for everything here...heat, water, sewer, cable, and phone. It has all the perks of living in a dorm but without most of the hassles.
