I work 7:00am-3:30pm and the latest appointment they do is 3:15pm. They are open Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:30pm and Fridays 8:00-1:00pm. They do not work Saturdays. 2. I work remotely, a desk job, and my vision would start off fine in the beginning of my day, but a few hours into my day; my vision would get blurry for a few hours, then go back to being fine in the afternoon. The doctor kept testing my vision in the exam room; as in seeing if there was something wrong with my lenses. It turned out my eyes were dry. How can a doctor not know when a patients eye is dry? That is alarming to me. Luckily, he has been patient throughout the process; but is frustrating to see an optometrist who cannot detect dry eyes. 3. If you have an appointment at 12:00, plan to n being there until 1:30pm. The doctor does not see you until 12:45/1:00pm.

From the moment I decided to book, scheduling was incredibly easy, and the staff in the office were all very friendly and inviting. It made the whole experience comfortable right from the start. Dr. Patel himself was fantastic. He conducted a thorough examination, and together, we developed a clear care plan to address my issue. I'm especially grateful for the care he takes with his patients and for thoroughly walking me through what steps we'd take next if this current plan doesn't resolve the problem. It gave me a lot of peace of mind. If you're in need of an ophthalmologist, I would highly, highly recommend Dr. Patel!

She offered to use the money I paid for the fitting fee towards the purchase of contacts. I went in for a follow-up appointment today. The doctor did a quick exam of my new contacts and gave me a replacement for the one I was having trouble with. As promised, they credited my lens fitting fee towards the purchase of my yearly supply of lenses. In addition, they gave me pair of sunglasses! Brittany and the staff made a very nice recovery. I am now a satisfied customer. Thanks AZ Eye Care! ORIGINAL REVIEW 7/9/2017 My exam was 100% covered by insurance. However, they charged me a $199 CONTACT LENS FITTING FEE that insurance covered 10%. Dr. Stern suggested a different brand of contact lenses instead of B&L citing that they had "better optics." However, this appears to be a brand of lenses, lubrication drops, supplements, etc. that he is promoting. If I had decided to stay with my old lenses, they wouldn't have charged the fee. The $199 fitting fee should have been disclosed up front. A mechanic wouldn't do work on your car without first giving an estimate, and a medical doctor wouldn't do a procedure on you without first checking insurance coverage. I feel a bit stung by the process. Otherwise, the staff was nice, and my appointment ran on time.

It has also negatively affected my vision considerably. After examining my eyes, Shibata stated that my vision has diminished considerably in one eye (duh !!! That's why I came in. The eye that got something in it !!!). I agreed with him and AGAIN stated that it began the day after I got something in my eye that caused severe stinging, burning and vision impairment. His response.... "But you really didn't get anything in your eye." .....WTF !!!! I guess he thinks I'm to ignorant to really know when something actually gets into my eye. A few days ago I went here to get my eyes examined and bought some glasses. I don't feel the exam…read morewas accurate and the glasses came back totally wrong. Worse than my old glasses. When I took them back they told there was re-stocking charge and no refund on the exam either. So I lost $90 total. While I waited on the lady that would take care of me, another lady behind the desk just sat there. She could easily refunded my money and I would be gone. Instead I waited nearly 30 minutes to be taken care of. If you choose to go here, ask for ALL the possible charges and what you can do if the things are not just right with the exam and glasses. I was not upset for the original cost, but I don't like to be be cheated for bad glasses and exams. I own a business and I'd be out of business if I treated my customers this way.
