A decent selection of shops and dining here. They have locally owned stores such as the local, but also plenty of your stereotypical mall stores such as bath and body works, H&M, and Claires. Besides shopping/dining they do have other amenities such as their splashpad in the summer time, a small playground over by the toy store, beyond the blackboard, and a skating rink in the winter time. On the outer rim of the southlands they have a walmart, sams club, tjmaxx, nordstrom rack, etc. They have great events such as the holiday parade and wine walks. Plenty of parking. 4 stars because they do have businesses coming and leaving and empty storefronts. For instance they had a lululemon here for about a year or two and now it is gone. I'd also love to see less chain restaurants here and more local owned or unique options. read more

Disastrous Experience at P.F. Chang's Southlands If I could give zero stars, I would. This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I've had in years. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. The kitchen will be closing in "20 mins" per the server at the BAR! Our BAR server was inattentive and seemed annoyed by our presence. Drinks took forever and the main dishes came out barely warm, as if they'd been sitting under a warmer. To top it off, the restaurant was dirty. The floors were sticky, the bathroom was a mess, and the general ambiance felt more like a fast-food joint after a high school rush than a place you'd expect quality dining. P.F. Chang's used to mean something. Sadly, this location has completely lost the plot. Do yourself a favor and eat anywhere else in Southlands--literally anywhere. read more

Southlands is an outdoor lifestyle center, more like a shopping district. I like the area in and around it! They have a cute water fountain where the water runs off the tops of the umbrellas near Yankee Candle and a Splash Pad (water that sprays upward) in the town square. Some of the stores are AMC Southlands 16 Theatre, Barnes & Noble, Eddie Bauer, Chico's, H&M, Charming Charlie, and restaurants are Ted's Montana Grill, Tokyo Joe's, Legends Coffee, Best Buy, American Eagle, and there are many more. Walmart & Sam's Club are just across the way. They do have public restrooms here. I can't remember exactly where, but I think it's over by the Aurora mural. Don't take my word for it. There should be one closer to the town square, though. There seems to be a nice variety of shops and restaurants here. The town square is pretty inviting for all. You can sit and relax while watching children play. I came in July and it was hot! I took a quick look around, went and got coffee at Legends and left. I bet it's all pretty, lit with Christmas decorations this time of year! read more

I love this mall for the fact it is close to home (just a short 2mi walk) and for outdoor window shopping. Gone are the kiosks of high pressure "walk by" sales pitches that one normally finds at Park Meadows or Cherry Creek Mall. Unfortunately businesses don't last long here. Southlands is becoming a ghost town to retail with the high rent most commonly voiced by shop owners. Eddie Bauer is out, no more Club Pilates, even had to bid adieu to some good eateries (Bar Louie and Old C's). There are still a few decent restaurants and hopefully with the movie house opening up, that will help change things a bit. The landlords renovated (again) the courtyard so hopefully that will reel in the Summer Outdoor Concert events. Until then, we'll at least have the Farmer's Market. For now, my only guilty pleasure to shopping is Barnes and Noble. Goodness I hope they can stick around. The fire pit is gone in lieu of a children's play area (of which there were none) and one of the anchor stores has zero traffic this fine day. It's sad. I'm sending prayers daily that this mall will pick up in activity soon. We need the fun vibes back in the neighborhood for sure! read more

Outdoor malls are some of my favorite places to shop. Southlands is no exception. Parking isn't always the easiest and you'll probably have to take a trek to where you want to go, but it's worth it. Southlands offers plenty of great stores, restaurants and places to have some fun. I've been inside almost every place this mall has to offer and if you need something, you'll most likely find it here. Plus, in the winter, you can come ice skating! There's lots to do and no one I know has anything negative to say about Southlands. read more

Nice Outdoor Mall,it's the center/focal point of the Southlands community. Some of the oldest & longest standing stables are the AMC theater, Tokyo Joe's, His & Her Barber Shop/ Salon, Ted's Montana, Red Lobster, Cookie place, Monsoon Cuisine of India, Legends Coffee, Sunglass Hut. Those places are truly dedicated to the community along with new comers in the last 5 years like Bent Barley & Lazy Dog. Not many anchor establishments in Southlands which is interested & weird for a Mall area. Majority of the issue is due to the strict rules & sky high prices to have a business in Southlands. Did you know the rent on businesses at Southlands is similar & close to Cherry Creek North area. Let's get more local establishments in here and reasonable prices for business to want to move into Southlands, instead of building around it. Great highlight of Southlands is the Farmers market in the Summer. Ice rink in the summer is great for everyone. In the summer they have a Thursday concert series. Last year they started charging to sit in the middle area, pure rip off. All people of The Southlands area spend a lot of money into this Mall area, now out the blue you charge to sit in the middle area to listen to music....really Southlands. Hopefully, one day management company will get realistic with rent so Southlands may attract additional flagship/anchor stores and local eats. So many places have not survived due to rent unless you have big Corp money like Buffalo Wild Wings there is no chance of survival. We want more in Southlands, please Southlands Mall management try harder for the large community that supports you. read more

One of the best outdoor malls to shop all year round. I love this mall because there is a great variety of small business local shops and also the big brands that I enjoy like White House Black Market, TjMaxx, Five Below, World Market and much more. This mall is also great at colorful landscaping, seasonal holiday decor and hosting amazing fun activities for all. They recently opened a visitor and guest services area in the former Pedego space. There is a beautiful clock tower and incredible murals by a local artist inside. Definitely check out the ice skating rink and seasonal events! During 2020 they continued to host socially distanced concerts, movies, Fall, Halloween, and winter events. The light and water play area is a big hit with the kids and families. I also enjoy getting a coffee after shopping and sitting around their fire pit. read more

We love Southlands! Today, we went to their fall festival and the kids had so much fun dressing in their costumes, trick or treating, watching the doggy costume contest, playing outside, and snacking on treats from the yummy vendors. We went to the annual holiday parade and it was so much fun, watching the floats, the tree lighting, and sipping hot cocoa. The mall has awesome features like water fun for the kids on hot days and unconventional playgrounds (the grassy mound is a favorite for our kids). The shops are wonderful - great variety and super friendly staff. The spice shop is one of my favorites! We also love the frozen yogurt shop and Lazy Dog. The flower baskets they hang on the light poles are adorable and get so full and beautiful over the summer. Oh and our kids are looking forward to meeting Santa again this year (but hopefully they can find a more personable Santa this year?) In any event, we always have a great time at Southlands and are so appreciative that they put so much into the experience - especially for families and kids! read more

Been coming to this mall for the past 10+ years and it's a nice clean outdoor mall, but like other malls in the USA a lot of stores have come and gone. I'm glad they continue to try and replace the numerous retailers that are constantly leaving. I was glad to see a new boba shop pop up called The Alley. Hopefully this place will continue to be a good area for shopping and dining. read more

Personally I am huge fan of the Southlands overall. It is well laid out. Has good shops and restaurants. We most frequent the AMC theater there and then take in some food at one of the surrounding restaurants. Southlands often has outdoor festivals and then an ice skating rink in the winter. Yes, outdoor concerts frequent in the summer! ++ A good walk - as the mall itself is HUGE and allows for a nice stroll! ++ Killer selection of stores! visited today at 7:30 to pick up potting soil. no employee was in the garden center. went to checkout and they said I would have to walk to where the potting soil was and take a photo of the bag and then walk back into the store to have them look up the price and then make a purchase and then after that, I would have to return to the garden area outside and get the bag of potting soil. the checkout manager said no employee would come in before 8 am to help me. what the ----! read more

This is a great shopping area. It has everything you need for a perfect day of shopping and then some. Everything is well kept and clean and it feels very safe. I had no issues with parking as other reviewers have mentioned but I did come in the middle of the day on a Friday. There really seemed to be plenty of spots though. You'll definitely be getting in your steps for the day because there are tons of stores that span a large area. The main draws for me include: -Legends Coffee: A fantastic cup of coffee and very cute inside. The seasonal Vermont Latte hit the spot. Really nice to have a non-Starbucks coffee shop to go to. -H&M: This H&M seems to be a lot larger than others one I have been to. It has a really big selection. -AMC: Nothing better than going to the movies after a day of shopping. -Nothing Bundt Cakes: Need I say more? -World Market: Not quite within walking distance from the main area but plenty of parking when you get over there. -TJ Maxx: Also probably not walkable from the main square but has a big parking lot in front of it. There's a huge selection of stores so that's just a sample of what you'll find. Overall, it's definitely worth spending an afternoon shopping here. You're sure to find what you are looking for. My only complaint is that they could stand to have a few more "fast casual" type restaurants. Currently, there are places like Tokyo Joe's, Chipotle, Noodles, and Five Guys. Since moving out this way Southlands Shopping Center is my go to mall. The mall has a nice community feel. It is an outdoor mall that was built to look like a old time Main Street. Special attention was given to the look of buildings, nice trees lining the streets and little accents (like fountains for kids to run through and a fire pit) that make the place seem warm and inviting. Lots of restaurants and shops to keep you occupied and fill your every need! However, the one drawback is that if you are looking for something unique or boutique like - look elsewhere. Southlands is the heart of suburbia and it is littered with chains! You know what you are getting, but it lacks variety. Still, I love it. They decorate for every season. The Christmas season is the best, with their lights strung across the main street, Santa, the ice rink, the whole thing is out of a Rockwell painting! Its a fun place to meet up and wander, give it try if you are in my neck of the woods :) read more

What can a person say about Southlands? Better yet where do you start? It's a fabulous little strip mall in the suburbs. It offers a lot of things aside from just your expected good shopping. In the spring and summer it boasts concerts and a farmers market; in the winter they feature a skating rink. There's lots of your usual mall shops/fare like Charming Charlie's Hot Topic, H&M, Barnes and Noble, Victoria's Secret, and Claire's to name a few. Plus a few unique choices such as Tillys, Savoy Spice Shop, Goochie Cakes, and Francesca's Collections. Not to mention the dinning options! You can find most any cuisine to fit your mood. Promise!! There's even a Paint and Sip concept here called the Paint Cellar. Sounds like I need to get a girls night planned!! The mall is laid out well and always well maintained. Sometimes parking can be challenging on the main strip of shops, but usually the side streets or the parking lots off to the side have plenty of spaces. read more

I'm not really a "Mall Person". Cramming all those people into one building just leaves me a bit cold. I like the outdoor mall concept. You can walk around and actually not have to deal with the recycled air. You don't have to go to the food court to get something. You can stop along the way at one of the many spots and have a snack or beverage and do some quality people watching. There have been summer nights I have come here to just walk around a little bit and not even enter a store. It's a nice place and glad it's reasonably close to home. read more

What's not to like? At the heart of the Southeast Aurora community lies this massive multipurpose outdoor mall with shops & restaurants to appease all & activities for old and young alike. AMC movie theater is here as well. Small play area for kids. They have a farmers market on Saturdays as well as free concerts all summer long. They even have outside movie nights for kids so bring chairs, popcorn, & blankets. They have done a magnificent job of designing this as an "end all, be all" location for everyone. read more

This is my favorite mall in Colorado. I love the outside strip and how it links right up with the movie theatre. There's so much to eat and so much to do. It looks so pretty around christmas time, especially with the "pond" that you can ice skate on! It's got all the stores you need and expect in a regular mall, plus some of the bigger retailers right across the street. The thing I love most? None of those damn kiosks where the girls chase you down so you can try some of their hand lotion that costs $60 for eight ounces. read more

As far as malls go, it's a nice outdoor feel. I mean, it's not California, but there again, we live in COlorado. The selection of stores is nice. Sad to see the GAP go, but H & M is king. Lids didn't make it, which surprised me. I do like to take in Ted's Montana grill on occasion. Food places don't seem to thrive, but Bad Daddy's & Old Chicago don't seem to be complaining. It's the private food joints that don't seem to last. Seem plenty come & go. I'm glad they replaced the brick work on the walk says last year. Southlands is a bit far from Centennial, but I'd promised my mom we would use the NY&Co. gift card she'd given me last Christmas. I never visit NY&Co. anymore since there isn't one at Park Meadows and the closest one is at Town Center mall in Aurora (where I don't shop). Southlands is a neat place to shop. I liked being able to park near the store I wanted to visit. We only walked up the main drag and down to the Toyko Joe's, so I didn't see much else of the shopping mall. Honestly, as much as I like the outdoor layout, it seemed tenuous to drive around to the other larger stores. Guess I would rather walk, but not during the winter snow or summer heat, and not with so many cars driving around. I would not want to shop here during the holidays. This is a great place to shop, eat and have fun. They have an array of shops & restaurants which surround this open-air avenue leading to a Town Square (this is a new trend especially among the places in Colorado). My husband and I recently had a difficult situation while visiting this shopping center. We accidentally dropped our keys down the storm sewer. OMG!!! What's a person to do??? Who do we call? Where do we go? We've got to get those keys back! HELP!! The fabulous security staff and maintenance crew were johnny on the spot to help. In less than 30 minutes we were reunited with the dropped keys, and back on our way. They were so helpful, and fast(!). We truly appreciate their efforts on our behalf. They saved us a ton of money and inconvenience by retrieving our keys. They acted like it was not an imposition at all, and they were happy to help! Way to go, Southlands!! Southlands is definitely a beautiful outdoor mall. There is a wide variety of shops and everything is easy to get to due to the layout. While the typical chain stores (Gap, BR, Victoria Secret etc) are present, independent shops are also spotted through to keep it unique. There are still lots of empty spaces, though they are mainly in the side sections. There is limited parking along the main strip of the mall, with plenty available in behind lots. Bar and restaurant choices are ample. There's no lack of choice, whether it be traditional family style restaurants or sushi joints. The bars are located across from the theater, which gives a nice pre/post drink option. I would recommend Old Chicago's bar with their 100+ types of beer. Plenty of water park options are present for kids (or adults) to run through. The main one being in front of the theater, with cute raining umbrellas up closer to the entrance. I have to say that it's slightly odd to see children running around in bathing suits at a mall, but whatever keeps them occupied. read more
