The 80s BAND...HOW FUN! This band reminds me of the night that I got backstage passes to Pat Benatar and then I get to party with the band, oh yeah. It's was a night I will barely remember but I'll never forget. They have a summertime concert series in the main square and in the winter time they turn that area into an ice-skating rink. Fun restaurants, great selection of stores, and the flowers and landscaping are beautiful. I WOULD recommend shopping here, so fun. read more

Bleak. A beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon and almost no people visible in the streets around the retail stores. Reminds me of a Potemkin Village. A fair amount of empty store fronts. It will probably be another 5 years before I visit again. read more

Oh HEYYYYYYY Southglenn, You're close to me, have the largest parking options out of any outdoor mall, offer a killer selection of stores, restaurants and bars, and create the best atmosphere! I love that your streets are always clean, well lit and a variety of events are held on your grounds. Wedding in front of the fountains anyone? The Streets at Southglenn is my latest discovery and I must say it's pretty fabulous! They have a great selection of stores and eateries. Some bigger names including Macy's, H&M, Whole Foods, Best Buy, European Wax Center, and Peet's Coffee. Plus some smaller local favorites including Snooze, Blue Sushi Sake Grill, Apricot Lane, and SnoBahn! Tons more; so please don't think that's an all inclusive list. They also have an optometrist, dental office, and library! The grounds seem to be very well maintained and there is ample parking. Since I was there in the winter I also noted that they had a great little outdoor ice skating rink! Bigger than others I have seen in outdoor malls. I'll have to add that to my winter "must see" list. I'm not in this area often, but given the fabulous variety of shops and activities they feature, I'm sure I will make my way back! read more

I worked at the SouthGlenn Mall when I was a teenager. It was a typical indoor mall on a single level but tiered from end-to-end. At the north end was May D&F which later became Macy's and on the south end, Sears. As do all indoor malls, SouthGlenn was once new and cool but eventually became old and tired. The recent architectural trend toward taking old indoor malls and turning them into hip outdoor "new-urban" centers has become ever popular throughout the metro area. Lowry and Stapleton are the largest with a mass of apartments, condos, town homes and single family homes mixed in with shops and restaurants. Bel Mar, which was transformed from the old Villa Italia Mall and now The Streets of SouthGlenn are smaller new-urban areas. We visited Restaurant Home, one of the few (currently) restaurants at SouthGlenn. We were also looking forward to checking out the new Whole Foods to compare it to the WF closer to home. The anchors (Macy's and Sears) are still there, in the same place, but everything in between is an open-air mass of retail and living space inhabited by only a handful of restaurants and retail. In the center there is a huge fountain (sans water for now - hopefully it will be fully functioning during the winter months). Radiating from the fountain are is a large movie theater, the two anchor stores, the massive Whole Foods and a few restaurants and stores. I was expecting to find the usual (chains), Banana Republic, Ann Taylor etc., but was surprised that they are not there. I'm not sure was the occupancy rate is but it looked like about twenty percent. The side streets have a fair amount of diagonal parking and the large lot outside of WF was pretty full - undoubtedly for WF shoppers. The developer included an outdoor sound system so you can listen to music while walking around. This made it feel a little like an upscale amusement park - without the rides, or the people. I get what they are going for. They are trying to create an area where young professionals want to live, shop and eat. My problem with SouthGlenn, and with all of these new urban centers is that everything is built at the same time and all of the buildings look like it. My prediction is that in ten years time you will be able to precisely pinpoint the year that the area was built and that the architecture will be "oh, so 2009" and out-of-date. Go to the Highlands neighborhood, Old Littleton and a myriad of other small urban neighborhoods and you notice how different everything looks, probably because these neighborhoods evolved over time. Don't get me wrong, The Streets at SouthGlenn is "pretty" and I hope that as the economy continues to recover that all of that empty is filled with lots of local restaurants and shops and that people decide to live there. In that way perhaps it will change and grow over time, not to be torn down and replaced with the next "new thing" twenty years from now. read more

I really enjoyed this outdoor mall. The big fountain is beautiful and there's seating close to it, so it's nice to sit for a bit and relax. Moderately priced eateries and a variety of different stores make this a perfect one-stop shop. You can get lunch go shopping then stop at whole foods and grab groceries! Perfect spot to meet up with friends and grab a cocktail as well. There are these cute luxury condo type apartments there as well. Conveniently located near Cherrywood Square and other shopping centers. Oh yeah. There's a pretty awesome pokestops here! read more

Great Stores and I love the outdoor feel. The overpriced Crepe place is good, but a rip off...it's all part of the experience, I guess. This a is a great outdoor mall! Nice scenery, essential stores, some great restaurants, and a Whole Foods. We go here for that handful of our go-to stores and honestly it's a great place to get the kids to walk around a bit and get those legs tired. We make our way around and end up at Whole Foods and call it an afternoon! Although parking can seem like an issue, it hasn't been for us. It's a good idea to go during the week, but it's doable on the weekends. We will continue to go here when we need to :) read more

I enjoy visiting The Streets at SouthGlenn, the from-the-ashes incarnation of the old SouthGlenn Mall. The Streets has a great mix of independent shops and restaurants, anchored by Macy's, Sears, and big box stores on the perimeter. My barber is at Floyd's, Pizza is great at Mellow Mushroom, Pho95 is there for a change of pace, and the movie theater is excellent. The Streets also has apartments and offices making this assemblage of real estate an ongoing concern. There's even a Library! Let's hope some of the empty storefronts get occupied soon. read more

Love going here during busy shopping days as definitely worth coming here instead of Cherrycreek or Park Meadows to avoid parking hassles or huge crowds. Macys has amazing employees and managers that will accommodate all. I've been to South Glenn several times and it's a great find in the middle of the suburbs. Outdoor mall with great atmosphere and lots to do. There is a movie theater, outdoor chess and tables, and a big outdoor fireplace. In the winter they have ice skating. For other things to do Sur la Table has cooking classes, there is Canvas and Cocktails and an Arts on Fire. Lots of shopping for whatever you are looking for and restaurants in all price ranges. Whole Foods is here for groceries or healthy quick food. My only complaint is that the are starting to fill a few of the empty spots with chain stores. For example, there used to be a Mexican restaurant on one of the corners that was good, and they replaced it with a Victoria's Secret. Not only is this annoying because we'd rather have unique boutiques or restaurants in that space, but I really don't appreciate VS giant posters and have to try to avoid that walkway with my kids now. yuck. SouthGlenn you have been doing so well! Don't kick out the little guys for the big ones. You have a good thing going and I'd hate to see it go downhill. We don't want another park meadows. read more

This residential/retail community is set up better than other renewed shopping areas in the Denver metro area. Sure the shops are not anything new, different or unique but hey what do you expect? If you really wanted that you have to go downtown Denver for that. And don't give me "Ooooo Downtown??" Like it is a scary place filled with specters and monsters. The Streets at Southglenn looks fairly quaint at night when all of the clear lights come on and the parking is free near as I can tell and that includes the parking garage. All in all not too bad of a place to eat,shop and kill time. To live? Ummm, I am not too sure about that. Best do research on that. read more

Some of the shops tend to be over priced specialty shops that belong more in Cherry Creek than here, but I'm betting they might change in the future. read more

From Snooze, a great Whole Foods, Charming Charlie, H&M, Old Navy, movie theater, Pho.....the Streets of South Glenn is a lovely place to walk around and spend some of your day shopping. I always prefer open air shopping centers versus interior malls and Southglenn is a solid option for anyone in the area. I think they have more of an eclectic mix than some open air venues with a Whole Foods, movie theater, Best Buy, and a couple salons. Comparable to Belmar but with more mall-type clothing stores (like my favorite, H&M). The food options have expanded over the last year, I noticed a crêpe stand and a BBQ joint on my recent visit. Parking on the exterior is fine but gets a bit more windy once you get inside. It seems crosswalks are father between so you tend to have to stop a lot more for wary pedestrians. I live in the Portola (apartments in the center... That's another Yelp in itself) and have a HUGE complaint. My friend came down to have dinner and received a FIFTY dollar parking ticket. A. There are NO SIGNS B. The ticket claims he had been parked for 2 hours C. There are NO SIGNS stating parking time limit D. He was only parked there for an hour and forty minutes E. There are NO SIGNS!!!! SO, he ended up paying for an expensive meal with fifty dollar parking. What a joke!!!!! read more

I grew up going to Southglenn mall as a child and although I was sad to see it go, (because of the memories) I couldn't be happier with the new Streets of Southglenn! My husband and I live within walking distance and enjoy taking walks up there with our two daughters, 6 and 5 years old. We love the restaurants, the movie theater and shops. Although I must say, as a mother of two, I LOVE having the library as well as Brilliant Sky Toys and Books and Color Me Mine. It's also great that they have the ice skating in the winter and a small park during the summer! They offer different activities for children and their family throughout the year which are always fun. I also love how they support the area schools for attending the family activities, shopping, going to a movie and dining! read more

The only reason I go here is because University of Phoenix moved their nursing program to this mall. I go to school in a mall! Strange indeed. I do like the concept of this mall. You aren't all closed in one giant, soul sucking building. It has a nice urban, young feel to it, even though you are in the burbs. The stores are decent. The Whole Foods is the best I've been in. There is a nice lookin cinema and some decent restaurants and eateries. They have everything from pizza, to fine dining. It was lit up really cute over Christmas and they even set up a small ice skating rink. You can easily find parking in the free garage. read more

Sad to see so many unfilled spaces and failed restaurants, but overall I enjoy living at the Streets of Southglenn, though I've only been here a few weeks. The area is dog-friendly, with scattered poop stations (but only one grassy knoll for them to play.) There are some fun shops (Brilliant Sky, Maggie Moo's, the candy store) and quite a few frou-frou clothiers and "antiques." Also a do-it-yourself pottery shop (Color Me Mine) and Canvas and Cocktails, which seems to be a big hit! The movie theater is great, and so far the restaurants I've dined at (Hodson's, Snooze, Cantina Laredo & Bar Louie) have been decent. Tons of beautiful landscaping and a generally safe place to roam in the evenings. It's nice being able to walk to Whole Foods for a missing ingredient, or Toyko Joe's for a quick lunch. I've been by this mall several times and the only places I ever really go is the Canvas & Cocktails and the European Wax Center. As far as dining is concerned, the one time I did try and have dinner here it was terribly overpriced and awful with a small menu and snobbish wait staff. This shopping center doesn't really have a point or a purpose I don't think the owner put much thought into planning occupancy or what they are trying to cater too. The location, the surrounding area, is older which makes it stand out even more and probably not in a good way. read more

There is a Snooze which is always busy for good reason. Along with lots of fast food choices and some nice sit down restaurants. I like that this 'mall' is an outdoor mall - all the storefronts open to the street. There are ton of restaurants and stores to check out - from fancy and casual dining to boutique shopping. I like Southglenn when I just need to walk around and maybe do some shopping. My wife and I come here for the movie theater all the time and we love it. We also really enjoy having brunch on Saturday or Sunday morning after church at Ivy. It's overall a great place. Only downside is that there aren't a ton of high end stores. Mainly just Z-Gallerie, but that's okay. read more

Overall I like this shopping center. It is convenient because it includes many restaurants, has a supermarket, a few fave stores to get some summer shopping done, and it also includes a movie theater. Kinda what Cherry Creek North tries to accomplish but with much lower prices and more compacted. It is nice not having to walk long distances amongst construction work to get to the stores you need to go. read more

Overall ok stores. the ivy and hodsons need to go. try not to get run over by the speeding cars that completely ignore stop signs. I am there all the time with my family but no longer feel safe due almost getting run over evertime im there. read more
