PLEASE GET A SECOND OPINION BEFORE AGREEING TO ANY MAJOR REPAIRS FROM LICKETY SPLIT. WE WERE…read moreALREADY LOOKING AT AT LEAST $10,000 IN REPAIRS AND THEY WERE STILL TRYING TO DIAGNOSE MORE. ANOTHER COMPANY FIXED THE ACTUAL PROBLEM FOR ABOUT $200. We called Lickety Split because we had sewage actively backing up into our home. They spent almost 12 HOURS trying to DIAGNOSE what was wrong. NO repairs were done during this time!!!! Our emergency service call was not handled like an emergency at all. We were told we had to have our septic tank pumped before they could continue diagnosing the problem. Our tank had literally JUST been pumped about 3 weeks prior, but we were told it had to be pumped again. That cost us $600, which we had to pay before they left. We then waited hours for the pump truck with no communication and no ETA and were unable to run water in our house during this time. The worst part is when the pump-out technician finally arrived, he told us the tank did NOT need to be pumped. So we paid $600 to pump a tank that had been pumped 3 weeks earlier and, according to the technician who actually pumped it, didn't even need it. The technician and his boss finally returned HOURS LATER. At this point we were already looking at AT LEAST $10,000 in repairs and they were still trying to diagnose additional problems. We declined to move forward with the extensive repairs they were recommending and were told the issue would be reported if we didn't continue with their repair. We were scared because we didn't know what could come of being reported to the city. During all of this they kept offering us a home improvement loan to pay for the repairs when we are already at our limit with bills and struggling. Thank God we called another company for a second opinion. The other plumber figured out the actual problem in about 15 minutes and the repair ended up costing us around $200. I emailed Lickety Split about everything that happened. I then called Monday to complain and was told a manager would contact me. Nobody called. By Thursday I still hadn't heard from anyone, so I called AGAIN. I was told they wanted to send someone to my house to speak with me face to face. I specifically asked if either of the original guys would be coming because I did not want to deal with the same people I was complaining about. I was told no. Then today Shawn, one of the original people involved, called saying they received a service call for my house and asked if we were having the same problem again. I explained there was no service call. The problem had already been fixed by another company and the entire reason someone was supposed to be contacting me was because I had complained. He told me he "vividly remembered" our call taking so long because they had another emergency nearby where a house didn't have water. Meanwhile we literally had SEWAGE overflowing into our home. He told me his manager would call me. Still haven't heard from him. I have tried multiple times to handle this directly with Lickety Split before leaving a review. I emailed them. I called Monday. I called again Thursday. I was told someone would come speak to me face to face. Instead, one of the original people I was complaining about called me and I was once again told a manager would call. Still nothing. I'm extremely thankful we declined the extensive repairs they recommended and got a second opinion. We could have spent AT LEAST $10,000 when the actual repair cost us around $200. PLEASE get a second opinion before spending thousands of dollars with this company.
