He promptly came the next day and took samples under the sink and did air testing downstairs and upstairs (I was worried about airborne mold hidden in walls or hvac). I received a very detailed lab report a few days later along with Joe's recommendations on how to remedy the situation. Joe is VERY friendly, reliable, and is knowledgeable about mold. He respected my sleeping baby and fiancé and tiptoed through my house quietly. The process was fast and streamlined and his equipment was very cool. I would recommend Joe to anyone who needs a mold inspection and professional lab results. Joe sent texts to update me and an emailed copy of the full report. Hopefully I won't need mold testing in the future but If I do, I will be calling him!

The underlying cause of the mold was never properly investigated. The company performed the mold testing and remediation but did not identify the source of the moisture or determine why the mold developed in the first place. They later claimed that I told them not to inspect the HVAC system because it was new. That is incorrect. I simply stated that the HVAC system was new; I never told them not to inspect it. The HVAC system was ultimately not the cause of the problem anyway. What disappointed me most was how the company responded when the mold returned. Rather than offering to reinspect the property, correct the problem, or provide a refund, they placed the blame on me. I gave them an opportunity to resolve the situation, but they only stated that the product they sprayed must have worked because otherwise the mold problem would have been worse. I also later learned that Florida generally prohibits the same company from performing both a mold assessment and mold remediation on the same property within a 12-month period when the work falls under Florida's mold-licensing laws. This company performed both the testing and the remediation. Overall, the mold returned very quickly, the root cause was never identified, and the company made no meaningful effort to correct the problem. Because of the cost of the failed remediation and the company's unwillingness to resolve my concerns, I am now considering my legal options and do not recommend this company.

Not sure of what to do, I asked the lead supervisor on the job, Gene, if he had any recommendations on a contracting company for me - here the recommendation for First Coast Contracting (FCC) came in. Not any of this companies fault, but the whole job took around 2-3 months to complete - waiting for permit approval created the longest delay. But I found the owner, Ray and supervisor, Jason, highly professional throughout the process. Thankful that Ray was patient with me when I messed up on a payment a couple of times. There was a lot of work to be done. I was surprised how young the first crew was. They tore down the things that needed replacing - repaired and replaced the header and necessary 2x4s excellently, as confirmed by the inspector. The process was rough for me mentally because dealing with two significant projects simultaneously brought great stress my way. But I persevered! I was there everyday throughout both FCC and Reunity's work and saw that all FCC teams that worked on the house preformed well. This included a tear down to reveal the extent of the damage, getting the boards, etc. to replace them, resealing the new installed plywood and siding in the end on the outside. There was one new sheet of plywood that needed to be installed on the interior, and Clovis handled that magnificently! There were a few quirks on times of arrival on a couple of occasions. This mostly was from the younger team, but I have no complaints about their work and neither did the inspector. I was going to write four stars for FCC, but after looking at only one challenge for me about them, I can keep it for five as I would use them again and they do the job fully and correctly. I'd only say too, that it is seemingly pricey. But I'm not an expert on how to rate them price-wise when compared to other contracting companies. People do get free estimates and FCC is highly rated on Google as well. Recommend: HIGH
