This is for everybody who left a review. Are any of you still seeing these doctors? I have had fibromyalgia for 11 years. I haven't found anybody who can help me. I'm currently having a lot of pain. Thank you.

I have gone to Southland Arthritis since 1992. First l was the father's patient and now the son's. There are several locations (Temecula, Menifee, Hemet, Riverside, and Corona). I have referred other people and certainly a rheumatologist is who… Read more

Mehta examined me, ordered both lab work and extensive x-rays, which showed arthritis throughout my body.

I have been a patient here for 4-5 years . I have RA and now an extremely serious, aggressive and…read moremalignant disease called myositis. I dare give this clinic even 2 stars. The big problem is incompetency and huge lack of a system to communicate with your doctor, like a portal or email/text . This is so important, especially with serious rheumatic disorders. The business is suppose to be open until 5 and they not only don't answer their phones during the day regularly, they offer an answering machine on their recordings but then it never takes you to an area where you can leave a message, and they also regularly shut their phones down early before business is actually closed, a practice they deny but all the above has happened numerous times and it looks like it's not just me. To leave a message with your rheumatologist for important matters, it is extremely stressful. You are waiting for somebody to answer the phone, when you do get a receptionist, she is taking dictation from you which by the time it gets to the rheumatologist is a completely different message or is not exactly the same as what has been relayed to her, and with a lack of urgency that you are trying to convey when giving them a message to give to the doctor. Then, urgent messages have taken over a week at times to answer. One of these instances almost led to serious consequences and could have resulted in death with having pneumonia and still taking methotrexate but not being told to stop. Had I not researched this myself after not hearing back and ceasing the medication while I was on antibiotics and violently ill I may not be writing this today. The last instance was receiving a terrible diagnosis of a rare disease called myositis. I was having a rough time breathing when I was on a phone appointment. with my rheumatologist, Dr. Alvin Yan. He suggested I go to the emergency room to get a breathing treatment and possibly a jump start on a cat scan to take a look at my lungs, which myositis also affects. I never heard another word from him and it has been 5 weeks. I do not feel I'm in the best hands with my rheumatologic care, especially after this diagnosis however, there are hardly any rheumatologist that are specialized to take a myositis patient in 100 mile radius and probably not Alvin Yan either- so this is where I am at right now.

Told me I had fibromyalgia, I had no idea what that was, how to treat it or if it COULD be treated,…read moreI didn't know if it was something that could be cured or treated with medication.. She literally just walked in the room said I had fibromyalgia and walked out.. that was it, I luckily had my caregiver and advocate there, because I was so confused and overwhelmed I just started crying... My caregiver walked into the hall and asked if she could explain more, she handed a pamphlet with details about a support group that meets at the office, but had no information on fibromyalgia itself.. and she left.. that was it. Honestly I don't care how many patients you have to see that day, that's on you and your staff for booking that many, we waited 3+ hours because she was behind, although I don't know how if she spends less than 2 minutes with each one... I have several health problems and have had several doctors have to tell me about a new illness/disorder/disease etc.. ALL at least took the time to explain what it was, I mean you'd think that would be obvious for a doctor to do, all took the time to explain basically everything about it AND a treatment or a way to make me more comfortable if not that very day, they made sure I had an appointment within 2wks to do that.. Never before had I had a doctor who gave me a diagnosis but nothing else and left me to basically just go home and do the 1 thing I try to never do and look up an illness online... I don't know how she still has patients, I guess some people just need medication and refills etc .. BUT IMHO if you're seeking a diagnosis, don't go to her.. I hope for other people's sake somehow I caught her on a VERY off day, if you can even call it that, but my experience with her was awful and as some know, when you have a lot of health problems and see a lot of specialists, therefore a lot of doctors, there's gonna be some pretty bad ones and experiences, but wow she is up there with the worst I've had. XOXO WISHING EVERYONE THE BEST

My husband was referred to Dr. Freyne from our primary. I read her reviews but took them with a…read moregrain of salt. He's seen her twice so far and I've been there with him. Dr. Freyne is an excellent Doctor in my opinion. I've been to a handful of Rheumatologists and she is better than anyone in this area. She's very thorough and knows her stuff. She's straightforward and gets what needs to be done, done. She has given my husband great care. The office is clean and organized and the front desk woman is very helpful and sweet. So far the two nurses he's had were great too. The reason for the 4 is because it is VERY hard to get a hold of anyone in charge of the referrals and if you ask the front office to take a message they say they can't. I left 2 voicemails and never got a call back. Frustrated is an understatement. Overall I do recommend Dr. Freyne as a Rheumatologist.

My instincts were correct and Dr. driver stated I did not have a RA but extensive OA. Dr. driver was on time, took the time before meeting with me to review all of the medical records I had brought with me and then had a thorough meeting with me. She listened to me attentively, did a complete physical examination of me and then discussed my medical records, and my medical history before giving me her diagnosis and a plan. All of her staff are amazing, not just the front office, but also her MA Yvette. I have continued to see Dr. driver for my severe osteoarthritis. When I need to see her in person I can if I don't need to see her in person I can do a video appointment which is amazing and very productive for a busy professional like me. I simply cannot recommend Dr. Drive highly enough, she is kind, caring, professional and an outstanding physician. Qualities not easily found these days in anyone especially doctors.
