You can buy a new vehicle anywhere - it's the people that make the difference in the car buying experience, and Dick Genthe does it right! Duane Hess handled the lease of our vehicle. He was friendly, knowledgeable and patient throughout. He made sure to take me to my new vehicle and show me many of the features that I would have never discovered on my own. Let's face it - I'm never going to read the owner's manual, so this overview of the vehicle was critical and he did a great job. For example, I have seen the TC button on several of my other vehicles, but I finally know when and how to use it! He had me set up the On Star and my Chevrolet apps and we made sure I had set everything up correctly. I made some sort of entry error in the set up along the way, and Duane was so patient with me and helped troubleshoot where I went wrong. I left the dealership with everything working properly. I emphasize his patience because we were there on the last day of the month, and the dealership was incredibly busy. He could have easily breezed through the process to move on to another customer, but he made sure everything was just right before we left. Brad Wise, the General Manager, checked in on us while we were there. He was friendly and interested in making sure everything was going smoothly - it was! He clearly has surrounded himself with a great staff to make our experience positive. We had the kids sitting in the waiting area watching TV while we filled out the paperwork, and he took the time to visit them and he gave them each a bobble head car. Even the boys were happy with the new car buying experience! Keep up the good work, Dick Genthe! It's easy to see why you are a leader in sales for Chevrolet.

After negotiating the price, I was sent to the used car finance manager to complete the paperwork. On his I-Pad he directed me to sign. I asked what I was signing. Totally deceptive and unethical. Buyer Beware!!

Went here to test drive a few cars. That went well at first. Drove a car that was above blue book…read moreby $2000.00 I stopped while test driving to look under the hood of the vehicle. It was filthy and looked like it had not been cleaned since the car was built. I questioned why is the car so high above blue book? The Salesman's manager sent me their 172 point inspection detailing all that was fixed when they got the car. The report states The following services : Oil & Filter , Engine & Cabin filter , Drive Belt replaced , LF RF Struts replaced, a brake job with pads and The complete interior and exterior detail. To perform these services you would have had to enter the engine compartment 7 times to perform all that service. And the Detail missed a lot under the hood. I couldn't believe when I opened the hood to check the oil how dirty it was in the engine compartment. It makes me wonder about the overall care from the previous owners. This and the 1600 over blue book gave me pause since the 172 Point document assured me all that was done. I have to disagree with this report. If the engine compartment was entered this much, why was it not cleaned up? I have attached pictures of the car on your lot and one from another lot. Both cars are the same year 2010. Same model, same engine. The clean car has 6000 less miles on it and they offer $9500 out the door and offer a powertrain warranty to 200K. Ric offers the same car more miles as is no warranty. I sent these concerns and pictures to Ric G. the manager who assured me he would look into the matter and get back to me shortly. That was 3 days ago. Still waiting Ric ! So I would look elsewhere if you expect a fair deal here. What I didn't tell them was that I need three cars not just one. But if you can't get satisfaction on the first one you know you are at the wrong dealer to start with. As of this posting Honda of Southgate is Ghosting. A picture is worth a thousand words. Attached is the report and what it claims was done. Would you actually believe they did what they claim in this report? They claim they were under this hood 7 times and no one bothered to clean the engine compartment even though the last item on the list is inside/out detailing? Still waiting for the get back to me shortly.

I chose to purchase a used vehicle from this dealership because they repeatedly emphasized that…read moretheir "A Lot" vehicles are thoroughly inspected, are more reliable than vehicles sold on a "B Lot," and that they stand behind what they sell. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect those promises. Less than 24 hours after taking the vehicle home, we discovered the driver's side nighttime running light was not working. Since we purchased the vehicle during the day, there was no reasonable way for us to notice this before leaving the dealership. We contacted our salesperson the very next morning because we considered it a safety issue and believed it should have been caught before the vehicle was delivered. The salesperson's response was simply that it "could have happened when you drove it off the lot... sorry." We then spoke with the General Manager, whose response was essentially the same. She explained that bulbs can fail during test drives or even while the vehicle is sitting on their lot after it has been inspected, and therefore there was nothing they could do. While I understand that bulbs can fail unexpectedly, that's exactly why I would expect a dealership that prides itself on thorough inspections and standing behind its vehicles to verify that basic safety equipment--especially exterior lights--is functioning before handing the keys to a customer. Whether the bulb failed during a test drive or while the vehicle was on the lot, it was still not working when we took delivery, and we reported it less than 24 hours later. This review isn't about the cost of replacing a light bulb. It's about customer service, accountability, and honoring the promises made during the sales process. We expected the dealership to acknowledge the concern and make a reasonable effort to resolve a safety-related issue discovered almost immediately after purchase. Instead, our concerns were dismissed. If you're considering buying from this dealership, I recommend thoroughly checking every feature of the vehicle yourself--including every exterior light--before driving off the lot, regardless of the assurances you receive about their inspection process.

Don't purchase any vehicle from here unless you want a car that won't last a week. It doesn't…read morematter the light they announce because the past 5 yrs, every vehicle I bought, green light or red. had a either a blown head gasket, blown engine, rod knock, died at the gas station when I turned it off to get gas or air in my tires, and then sat stranded because they had just jumped the vehicle to bring it up to me from the back. Never did I buy a *non runner* as they say they have listed but yet every car has been jumped to bring up to me. Knowing I'm getting a car from the auction I know I'm probably going to have to put a little money into the vehicle but not an engine. I didn't buy nonrunners. I've been there and done that to salvage what I had been stuck with. All that is coming through here is the cars from the dealers nearby that can't sell them on their lots. They rig them up, to get them there and take a picture and thats that. There should be some sort of verification process to what is listed. We as buyers like to have faith in the process and hope we at least make it home when we buy a runner. They have non runners listed with reasons to why and then they have cars sold as is for the same reasons that the non runners are. There is no difference in the actual state of the car, basically if it gets started and makes it to the front of the building then its a runner. Cars in the "as is" or red light sometimes are listed with conditions like ROD KNOCK or NO START or TRANMISSION ISSUE. This brings me to Feb 22, My fiancé won the bid on the 2003 Range Rover listed as red light, ((that was just bought on the 1st by another bidder because he didn't finish the purchase)). Jeff has personally assisted us with a similar situation in 2022 when the auction had listed a vehicle "on accident" as a green light and it turned out it wasn't supposed to be "green light" the new guy messed up they said. Well the car smoked so bad out the engine it took me 3 hours to make it home and I got pulled over on the way home it was so smokey. I had to keep pulling over to let it cool every 4 or 5 minutes. That time they took the vehicle back and returned my money. This time its another similar situation only there is no returning of despoit and I didn't leave the lot with this vehicle. Somethings didn't add up doing my own carfax on it and I reached out to Jeff and let him know. I asked him if he could have someone start it up and see if he thinks I will make it home, If I couldn't I wasn't towing it because I didn't purchase a non runner. I asked him to let me know before I wasted my time and he didn't respond to the question after 2x so I drove all the way up there to go just listen to the vehicle. Well what do you know. They brought the vehicle from the back with the hood open because they had to jump it and it seriously sounded like the piston was about to shoot right through the engine. It has clearly been in a flood ..the interior was a clear indication and when I looked up information on this vehicle the few sites leading back to the VIN were. cleanvin or salvage sites that it was listed it. Clearly this car hadn't been driven more then 2k miles in the past 5 yrs according the carfax and was passed around as far as they towed it. The dealer right around the corner made it with the car as far as he could to go sell it 2 mins down the road at GDAA, where they take no responsibility for what the car is listed as or what the owner/dealer lists about it. Esp, the dealers that bring in their garbage but dont disclose the car has a blown engine because GDAA just takes their word for it.. GDAA only supposably inspects the green light vehicles and all vehicles brought in by dealers are listed as red light, go figure. Since Covid and the auction moving, they haven't ran the cars through like they used to while we bid. At that time, we actually got to hear atleast what the car sounded like started. *Which most people can hear a ROD KNOCK or SEE SMOKE coming out of the hood or exhaust. If we wanted to buy junk, we would go to a junk yard.
