They also told me the price if I paid cash and then told me to add 4% of I paid by credit card. I couldn't believe they were going to charge me to use a credit card. I confronted the owner about why I wasn't told about this fee and he said I have the right to go to the bank and get cash. So I had to take time off of work to get to a bank and get cash before the bank closes which I did the next day, but before I could get in to get the car they call me and tell me that I will be charged $20 a day after today for storage fees. This company doesn't have a clue how to take care of customer. I will never go there again.

My transmission blew with no warning...on a side street instead of I-75 at 60 miles an hour!!! I called a number of places Downriver. The ones that came highly recommended don't work on foreign cars. One even said not to trust anyone who said thy COULD work on foreign cars. I settled on Dan's Auto cuz it was close to where we were staying and cuz of the other reviews here. I just gotta shout it out! This place rocks! I told Dan what I understood the problem to be, based on research I did online. Dan did some checking on his own and told me he agreed it sounded like that was the problem. He did some was able to give me an estimate to replace the transmission with a used one - if that turned out to be what was wrong I had to have the car towed. Dan was awesome about staying in touch with me to let me know the status. The price was well within the estimate and, in the few minutes I've driven it since I picked it up, I'm wildly impressed!! He underpromised and over delivered!!! That makes great business sense to me..... The shop was NOT like a showroom. I'm happy my charge didn't include making a fancy place!
