Stopped in on a friend's recommendation just to browse -- we recently made a purchase elsewhere but are always keeping an eye out for good shops. Everyone here was super friendly and checked in on us without being pushy, which we really appreciated. They seem to have a great selection, and I noticed one team member being incredibly patient and helpful with a customer who had a lot of questions -- it was great to see that level of service. I went to the armory in search of hard to find ammunition for my Winchester Model 1895 lever action .25-20. The cocky fellow working there informed and showed me that winchesterammosales.com had them. Great, because I've been searching all over for these hard to find cartridges. Meh. This is a BIG pawn shop full of new and used jewelry. The firearms section is maybe 1/4 of the store. They have an unimpressive selection of tupperware, black rifles, bolt actions, etc. - not quite the selection of Cabela's. Prices are full retail and can easily be beaten online or at your LGS. The used section is small and full of foreign substandard clones. There was no high-end or unique anything. Staff was friendly and helpful though. read more

Tried to rip me off on a blue label Glock and insulted my intelligence, all in less than a minute. They're quick! I went in around November or December to pick up a blue label Glock 43. The guy behind the desk said they have plenty in stock. So when I asked him if they were still $358, he said, "nope. $399." I asked if he was talking about the night sight version because I wanted the standard sight $358 version. He said, "nope, night sights are four-something." When I told him I bought a 43 from Southeastern Armory in April for $358 his educated reply was: "Not from here you didn't. They've always been $399. We don't make a whole lot off of those sales." as if my concern was how much he profits off the Blue Label Program. Do you think Glock cares how much this guy profits off of unwitting 1st responders and military who will just pay for his B.S.? I wasn't going to argue. I knew where he stood. I could have had him check his sales receipts, but why bother? Apparently I'm the idiot who doesn't remember where I buy my blue labels from. My solution? I drove 2.5 hours to Adventure Outdoors because I texted their customer service (yes, they'll check inventory for you over text message) and they said $358 all day, everyday. They've earned my business for life and Southeastern lost mine (and everyone I know) for life. read more

Excellent service and great inventory. They sighted my firearms in for me as a service..included with each purchase. Very knowledgeable and very helpful. I cannot say enough positive things about the team at Southeastern Armory. I highly recommend these young men to help especially you novice or first time purchasers. First, let me say the store it self is very nice. The people who run it however, are not. I've been there on three occasions and these are my three experiences... There are two instances before this one but if you only read one, read this one it was the last and the one that lamented to me that I will never shop there again. I went in to buy a very small part for an ar and while looking this nice old man comes in and says he has a pistol he'd like to sell. They ask him about it and he shows it to them and says "I bought this pistol back in the 60's from a guy and had it ever since. It's a little browning automatic," he told them he believes it would be worth around 500 and would like to get 300 if they could... the guy says, " let me go in the back and check it out".. come back 10 minuets later and said "alright, we'll give you 300 for it" and puts his hand out to shake the old mans hand. The old man shakes his hand and WHILE STILL HOLDING THE OLD MANS HAND says "if you wanna buy it back I'll sell it to you for $4,000". With this big ol grin on his face!!! The old man looked in disbelief and the guy said. "This is the first model automatic pistol browning ever made. And the serial number on this gun is a very early example, I just looked it up and it's worth over 4 grand hahaha" the old man looked like anyone would who just got shitted out of 3,000 extra dollars he should have had in his pocket. I spoke up and said "you knew what you were buying. You could have paid him more than that and still made money, or AT LEAST not rubbed it in the mans face! I put the part I was about to buy down and walked out. 1st time I was building an ar and trying to buy parts locally to help local business, which I normally don't mind paying a 5-15% markup for local. They had a part in the store that was marked something like 40% over online! So I talked to the guy who I assume now is the manager And said "excuse me sir, I'm interested in this item, but it's 40% higher than online prices and ask if he can do any better in the price." He looked at me with this horrible look I can't even describe and said "do you go to gas stations and say there is a place down the road that has gas for a penny cheaper, will you change your price?" I told him no gas station I know marks up their prices 40% and stays in business. Ended up buying an ar lower against my better judgement, he was very rude! Second time in the store, same guy was a complete idiot and kept insinuating I was lieing about my state of record when trying to buy a second ar lower about a year later. And the condescending tone he was using was just to much. I am no liar and do not like being called one! I ended up telling him he could kiss my a** and left. As I'm in the parking lot explaining to my wife what just happened inside that jerkoff walked out to my car and said "sir I'm sorry, we just pulled your application from last year and I can see your address was correct as you said. If you would still like to buy it please let us know,".. yea right.. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

What a great experience. Went in looking for my son a .410 youth shotgun. They were out of stock, but Larry gave me a place in North Augusta that might have one. I gave them a call and they had just sold the last one. Well my son saw the cricket .22 and fell in love with it. Larry answered every question we had and he totally hooked us up. The paperwork went without any problems and he had us ready to go quick fast and in a hurry. Again Larry was incredible. First time to this gun shop.
