Sharpe shooters just like their sissy indoor cousins offer a wopping one round per second rule for all to enjoy. If you do happen to double tap the trigger even once don't worry the range officer will be there a couple shots later if he isn't already holding your hand and begging you to stop. Were all adults and I get that some people are more experienced than others when I comes to handling a firearm but this is an outdoor range for crying out loud and one of the only 2 public ranges in the area. Do better Shooters its been this way for far too long and its time for a change. read more

There is nothing like an Outdoor range to keep the skills S.H.A.R.P.E. They have good overhead cover for those blistering summer days, a good firing line layout and multiple ranges. If you want to practice for IDPA then I would go for a membership which will give you a Members Only day without any major distractions. Their range offers pistol, long gun, shotgun, archery and more. I only have one minor gripe, I had to change some sights on a pistol and luckily the correct tools were at this location, but if you have two locations shouldn't you have two sets instead of going back and forth to locations for parts? Great outdoor range and sister range to Shooters Indoor Range. The range is extremely well maintained and kept clean by those who work there as well as its patrons. The staff are extremely friendly and if you have any questions about anything at all they are always able to answer or to find an answer. The pistol ranges are more rugged but there are a lot of lanes outside. Definitely less covered, bring some sunscreen and a hat when you are using them. The rifle range is my favorite--partially covered and hardened, you can bring any long gun out here and go to town! The best thing about SHARPE Shooters is that they always have friendly and knowledgeable Range Officers who can help you if you have any issues, questions, or just want to have a great conversation. Safety is paramount at a gun range and there is quite a representation of abilities and experience out there so the attentiveness of the RSOs is quite appreciated. The clubhouse is also quite clean. It has been nearly remodeled to accommodate the addition of the Savannah River Armory. Also, as a gal, I must say, I have never seen a gun range have bathrooms as nice as these guys have! Holy smokes! Granite countertops and fancy sinks and everything! So, I gave the 4 stars instead of 5 because of the prices. I think the membership prices for the Shooters ranges are a bit high (even compared to the anti-gun private clubs in Massachusetts I used to be used to)! Also, the non-member per visit prices are high as well. It is $15 then $10 for each person using the same lane with you. However, they do have certain days designated each week as $10 days for ladies, military, seniors , etc, just go on their page for details. Overall, great range. They always have a lot of events, support the second amendment fiercely and provide a great environment for firearms owners and enthusiasts alike to shoot. I highly recommend! read more

Staff is great! Amenities are good! They are trying to improve their sheltered awning ranges which is good progress. They offer members great access and for a decent price. The only knock is their berms need to be touched up a bit as over the years of shooting and drainage wash, the slopes are degrading. read more

Excellent complex with a lot of shooting options. In the last year as a member I am most impressed with how consistently helpful the staff are as if chick fil a trained the staff on kindness. Very nice shooting range!!! Personally, I would recommend that if you live in Evans and plan to shoot once a month, the membership is definitely the best bet as the perks of free gun rentals, ammo, and other benefits make it well worth it and Im not sure I have found a better deal anywhere else. They offer a decent outdoor range with target backings and lane safeties (sometimes). They have a small but sufficient shop with ammo, targets, supplies, etc. My only gripe is the price. Spending nearly $20 to shoot (i think the lane fee is $17 + tax) makes any trip to the range add up quick. For this they should include targets and soft earplugs just out of principle. But if the price doesn't bother you, they have a decent setup that can accommodate most firearms (for less than 200yds). There are no wma/federal ranges close by so this is one of few options within 45 min of grovetown/augusta. If you are military or can get onto Fort Gordon, it is $10 and they have a much longer range with more space between shooters. Highly recommended alternative. read more

Great place to do some outdoor shooting for hand guns and long guns here in Augusta, Ga. The staff is really friendly and most are prior military members, they support the military on Thursdays with a discount with proof of Mil/ID. They have bays for pistols and a 200m/200yd to zero your long guns and optics. Price is reasonable and you can shoot all day. You can also rent firearms and buy ammo and targets to include eyes and ears if needed. Before you can fire lead down range you have to watch a 10 min video on range safety. Then you can shoot your lil heart all you want. Best days for me are weekdays, less folks and more time for some good training. Be advise Saturday and Sunday's might be busy due to the weekend! I don't really frequent many shooting ranges but try to keep up with the times when it comes to being at least an average shot. I find this range to be clean, well organized and not too busy most hours of the day. I wish there was more room to stretch out and go for long distances but beggars not be choosers, right? read more

Easily the worst outdoor range I've been to. The people inside were very nice but the range had no steel targets and you have to wait an excessive amount of time to set up and shoot. Not only that, if you fire too fast the range instructor reprimands you. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

It was Fathers day weekend in June and had brought my father,a few hand guns, and a 12 ga pump shotgun and a ton of ammo . It was crowded which was ok and we went to the hand gun range and was able to shoot the 12 ga there also . The collage kids that was supposed to be range safety kept talking about his 45 and how much powerful it was and all . OK that's cool . Everything was going great and then the kids " Range safety " which I call them that because that's how they acted like were trying out which I be leave was a AK-47 that some other person brought out . The AK had a suppressor on it that the blast would hit me right in the face every time it was shot . I told the Range safety kids about how it was blasting in my face and they did not seam to get it or I think did not care about what it was doing and how mad I was getting . Any way I asked my father if he was good and had shot enough which he said yes and I wanted to shoot more but had these two range safety jerks pissing me off the more they pulled the trigger decided to leave . We started to leave and I do pick up my spent caseins but was too mad to even care . They told me I had to pick them up so I raked them up and instead of putting them into there bucket they collect the caseins in I thew them directly into the trash . They said to have a good day but it was better for me too keep walking and try to forget the awful time I had there . I said I would never go back to that dump and never will . Fort Gordon is a better place to shoot and there range is longer by far . I was not going to post anything but it still pisses me off and I seen this Yelp review and decided to rant about this . read more

Great outdoor range, the rifle range is 200 yards and there are several pistol bays. The staff, including the range officers, are kind and helpful. From their website: "Our facility currently has 4 pistol bays where each will have the ability for 8 consecutive shooters - that is a capacity of 40 concurrent shooters! Each pistol bay will be 15 yards wide and 30 yards deep. Don't forget the archers out there - we can easily and quickly configure a pistol bay for archery as well. I have found S.H.A. R.P.E. shooters a very good out door range for pistol use. I am a concealed weapons permit instructor and find this range to be very outstanding for my class training. Give it a try if you want to stay proficient with your hand gun or rifle. read more

Great venue. I visites for the first time this Monday. And I am impressed. As an NRA certified instructor it is obvious that safety os paramount in the operation of the facility. They have a good selection of targets and plenty of equipment for rent including firearms. This is extremely helpful if you may be in the market for a new gun but not sure which one is right for you, try a couple and see what feels right. The range officer was very friendly and knowledgeable. He greeted me and asked if I had been there before? He promptly gave me a safety brief and explained the statuses and commands he would be using. After a firing order he verified weapons were safe before allowing anyone down range. He even assisted with getting my new sights diled in as he saw I was getting frustrated with the process. After I finished he informed me of some events he thought I might be interested in. Our first visit this past weekend to your place of business was an extreme disappointment. I had family visiting from out of town, and we thought it would be enjoyable to visit the range for shooting practice and fun. We were having a good time, and all the other employees were very nice and helpful until we encounter a person named, Josh. To say he was unwelcoming would be an understatement. He made each of us feel like we were bothering him because we were asking questions about the firearms. Furthermore, since I could tell that Josh was becoming more bothered, sarcastic with his responses, and overall plain disrespectful, due to our lines of questioning, I tried to lighten the mood; however, Josh's arrogance and lack of respect for us only heightened. No one knows everything about firearms, but Josh would have you think he does; and, he'll make you feel ridiculous for wanting to learn. You may want to consider who you place as the "face" of your business when people first arrive.
