I took the bike out along the River road and hoped to visit this spot, unfortunately they were closed during posted hours.

The staff was very friendly, the coffee was great, and the croissant was delicious. The atmosphere is also really nice. Since it's located on a university campus, there are a lot of busy students around, but it doesn't take away from the experience at all, you can still relax and enjoy your coffee and food. Make sure to leave a tip at places like this, the service is excellent, and even something small like 50 cents is appreciated. Thanks, Temple Roasted Coffee!

Visited Temple Coffee Roasters today, while I was in the area walking around…read more Truth be told, I gave up caffeine for the past three weeks. I won't go into the reasons why, but I wound up forgetting to order my coffee decaffeinated. I wound up ordering a Mexican mocha with almond milk and light whip. I also ordered a veggie scone. Both the barista and the person working the counter were friendly and nice. I LOVED the Mexican mocha. It wasn't too sweet (which I was worried about), didn't need sugar, but was delicious. It had a nice mix of the robust coffee flavor and the richness of the Mexican chocolate. The scone was good. I liked the mix of veggies and cheese. I think it would have been better if it were heated. This cafe is somewhat small. While there is a good amount of seating, it gets pretty packed in here. I'd say my biggest con of this cafe if you're drinking your coffee there are the seats and the lack of electrical outlets to charge your computer. The bar stools are pretty uncomfortable. I really could only sit the stool for about an hour. Since the stools didn't have a backrest, I started getting sore. I'd definitely get coffee here again.

Shout out to Clarksburg/ West Sacramento area…read more.. After buying some live fresh crab at Ferrari Fishery stand and stopping by Dave's farm stand in West Sacramento, I continued on for a casual drive to the Delta town of Clarksburg. We kept driving south on the same road...S River Road. Right on S River Road in Clarksburg is Dinky Diner. It is a tiny road side stand serving up burgers, dogs (hot dog,Polish, and corn dog), sandwiches (BLT, tuna's salad, tuna melt, grilled cheese), fries, onion rings, sundaes, root beer float, and ice cream bars. Classic Americana favorites made from quality ingredients. Yummy. The vibe is welcoming, the clientele is diverse. They accept cash or card payments. They have covered picnic table dining area with a view of the Sacramento River. Absolutely calm and gorgeous. I have stopped by here many times over the many years. The burgers, fries, and hot dog are my go to. The burgers taste like fresh pounded patties, the fries come out hot n crisp, and the hot dogs are of quality. I dig their food, and have enjoyed my meals here. Prices are not outrageous. Hot dogs $6, $11 combo ( canned soda and chips). Desserts $4-$6. Tip: They have a small boat that they converted with a table and seats, the kiddos would luv sitting in that. Or even grownups. But it's a bit snug for adults. Another thing to note is that they don't have a restroom. I believe they have a porty John which I can't tell you the state of that because I never used it.
