This place has had the absolute worst service recently. This will be the second review I've posted now and I normally don't review any businesses online. However, I feel the recent service at this place is so bad, I have to speak about it. Like I said before, the Spanish woman that is there all the time is so rude and nasty its insane. Yesterday, I went in there and asked for something for my young daughter. Well, I was told in an extremely rude and nasty tone, that she was too busy and it would be about 20 minutes before she could even start to prepare my order. Meanwhile there were 2 employees besides her there doing nothing. After her telling she was too busy to help me, one of the other employees doing nothing, literally told me to go wait outside. To go wait outside!!!! This treatment is insane and it is unacceptable. Period. This woman needs to be fired and the old employees brought back!! read more

I have been going to this establishment for over 4yrs now and the guy Nick is great with all sandwiches never has any issues but the Spanish lady forget about it. Extremely rude to her customers, disregards customers concerns and disrespects the customers as well. They will not be seeing me there as long as she's there. My last encounter with her was the worst and she literally is racists towards other races. It's a shame she behaves this way especially when she's supposed to be preparing food for customers. Another incident, I called several times one morning didn't know she was working, I also made a call while in the parking lot watching her ignore the calls. Went in for a samdwich and she tells me she doesn't make sandwiches for a kids school trip which was a basic ham and cheese sandwich. And then I ask her if the phone was broken because I've been calling and she stated she does not answer the phone when she's alone. Went in for a simple Sausage, egg and cheese with a hash brown on a plain wrap with salt pepper and hot sauce.. I got a sausage, egg and cheese on a roll with no hash brown and no salt pepper or hot sauce. I even asked the guy at the register a 3rd time if there was hot sauce and he said yes. I went to the deli at 7:15 pm to get an Italian Stallion Wrap. First I was told that they were only doing cold subs and when I said that the wrap is a cold sandwich, the guy behind the counter said he didn't know how to make it. I walked out. I think this is completely and underly ridiculous. How can you have someone working there that doesn't know how to make a simple wrap with a few ingredients. You will not find a cleaner place to eat at. I highly recommend the Philly cheese steak sandwich and the Italian combo.

Went there a few days ago with my two African American friends after one of my friends opened up a soda took a sip out of it and the two employees told informed us that we would have to pay for our food really what a bunch of consending jerks we were so insulted that we left the owner threatened to call the police. We went there during lunch time today to grab some quick sandwiches. My friends ordered sausage and pepper sandwich on a roll and I had a turkey sub. The sausage and pepper sandwiches barely had any sausage on them and just looked very small and thin. They cost $7.50+tax. My sub didn't have enough turkey either and cost was $8.92. They didn't even taste good. I think they are trying to make more money by cutting down on the sandwiches. I rather go to Rossi's and get a fabulous panini for $8 or $12 depending on the size. The South Gate Deli is a overpriced mediocre food place. Don't think we are going back there. read more

This place is awesome, they have a great deli with a large variety of different items, including an ice cream shop. The owners and the cook are always super friendly when I go in and the food is always yummy! Definitely would recommend. read more

Ordered 6 sandwiches before hiking. Absolutely loaded to the top with all of the condiments I could think of for free. The owner even threw in a free buffalo chicken sandwich. If you're on your way out to the mountain, stop by for all the grub you need. read more
