I have been to several South Beach Tanning Company locations in Palm Beach county and Broward and have been really impressed with them. They were all located in great plazas, which made it easy to find. This particular location is located in the right hand plaza after Hillsboro and Federal Highway in Deerfield Beach, FL. It has a corner spot location in the small plaza. Once you walk inside, you are immediately greeted by a friendly employee. When I go around 5-6 p.m., there is usually a minimal wait time (5-10 mins) for a bed. The employees are very knowledgable on which tanning lotions to use, so feel free to ask them. The tanning beds and the rooms have been clean every time I've gone. They have many promotions going on. They offer a one week free week pass for new customers. You can tan unlimited in level 1 beds. Just need to bring your ID. Additionally, check their website for additional coupons before you go! One thing that could be better is their Spray tan process. You must wear flip flops inside the machine or your feet will be black with the tanning solution. In other tanning companies, you are able to purchase throw away flip flops similar to those at nail salons, when you are going to spray tan. Horrible. The original owners sold to someone new recently. They are a total zero! Thursday 4/2 arrived at 10am which is the time they are supposed to open.... Waited with several other people until 10:35 and NO ONE showed up. We all left. Went back the next day and they were open but refused to let my 17 year d daughter tan because this time she was alone and they said they needed to scan an adults drivers license!!! All this has already been done and it's in the system. We have been going here for years!!! Not to mention in the state of Florida you can be 14 years old with parents consent the tan.... As I stated earlier, all that has been done and has been on file for years. These people suck!!! Their beds aren't working right either. Multiple bulbs are out on different beds that we've been in in the last couple weeks. Find somewhere else to go. You would think if they're going to have a policy change they'd email customers and considering we are a family of four and we are all members... well, we were until now!! read more

Seems like The bulbs haven't been changed since whenever they opened. I had to practically press against the lights in stand up and still nothing. The bulbs were barely warm let alone hot. Terrible. Waste of money. Flushed 30$ down the drain$! read more

What a great way to start off a relationship with your clients. When you initially come in for the first time this salon gives you a free trial week upfront(no catches or shady contracts like some other salons). In that week you can try any of the different level beds on the different days, including high pressure! Wowee, wasn't expecting that and I must say it made my day! The pricing here, once you have completed your free first week is very fair. They have a variety of different level beds as well as a large selection of lotions. I started with a level two bed and I left feeling quite a bit tanner. The salon is very clean and the employee was very nice. I am a delivery driver, and this morning i delivered heavy items to the establishment that they needed, and as for any business, I delivered the items to the back door. After few knocks, a worker opened the door and yelled at me that i should bring the items to the front door instead. With my friendly attitude, and smile, i apologized and offered to take the items to the front door, she said, No, and slammed the door in my face. I felt little hurt that not even a thank you was said to me. As a driver I am trying to make an honest living for my family, and i face an attitude from someone who has no humanity to at least say thank you rather slamming the door in my face. I hope Karma teaches you a lesson, and get you educated on how to treat people and represent your business with Quality, and kindness. Thank You for Ruining my day dear. I love the location, the machines, the cleanliness... The only thing I don't like is the staff. A lot of the girls who work here have the biggest attitudes, and are snobby. One who claims to be the manager is the worst offender. There is a Spanish girl who is very pleasant, but I can't say the same about the rest of the staff here. I've been to the tanning salon twice already and it's been great, the staff is sooo nice they were very helpful knowing that it was my first time tanning and they walked me through everything. the only problem is when i went in to the room i didn't have enough time to get undressed and apply my tanning lotion, the lady instantly started the tanning bed so i didn't get to finish my preparation so now i got blotches ): other than that it's a great salon! read more

I am a new customer to South Beach Tanning in Deerfield Beach, I moved to Florida in November 2018 and joined almost immediately. Unfortunately I had to freeze my membership for 3 months due to an emergency last minute. They were extremely accomodating and in fact very helpful. When I resumed my membership the staff couldn't be nicer and more professional. Tory (sp?) is an amazing employee!! Exceptional. Very thorough. I would recommend this salon to EVERYONE!!! While my daughter and I have had pleasant experiences I would like to say if you state your hours are until 9pm then it would be expected when we get there at 8:30-8:45 we don't get turned down saying no more spray tans for the night. I get the employees want to go home but the machines really should be available until 9pm as your hours state. Very misleading and beyond frustrating when you drive a long distance. read more

8/27/15 Thursday. I wish I remembered the name of the girl that was working. She is one of the reasons I will be returning. The salon closed at 10pm and I was walking up to the door didn't realize it was alittle past 10pm, but the employee opened the door anyway and said come on in. She didn't rush me even though they were closed. (I work in customer service, normally people are impatient) Completely explained how the spray tan worked. It's been a couple hours since I got sprayed and I LOVE it. I highly recommend to try it out. Reasonable pricing. read more

This place needs to stop attempting to fix the spray tan booths! They are broken for the millionth time. I pay a lot of money so I can spray tan every month and each time I go in at least one if not 2 beds is out of commission. I am about to cancel my membership. read more

I don't think it's good to use tanning beds but I love getting spray tans at any South Beach location. I do think there are a few things that they can improve on: I would have makeup wipes in the room rather than baby wipes, two towels in the room - one to dry off a bit and one to lay in the machine on the floor so you don't get the tanning solution all over the bottoms of your feet (or those sticky things you can place on the bottom of your feet like some places have) and a little jewelry dish so people can place their jewelry in a dish rather than in their purse or on a chair in the room. read more

got their monthly package because I was going to be in town for two weeks and it was cheaper to pay $50 for level 1 bed 1 month package than pay individually. It's 1:30pm on a Wednesday, the doors are locked. they're randomly closed? no sign on the door and when I call no one picks up. what's the point of getting a monthly package if they randomly lock their doors during regular business hours?! read more

Love this location it's right by my house, the manager is awesome and sooo helpful! But every time I go into room 16 for the versa spa it sprays way to heavy and leaves me dripping! I only go into room 8 now, I wish they would fix it because I love this place but sometimes when it's busy I can only get room 16! But over all I love this place! read more

I had been trying to cancel my membership for two months. The staff and the manager is unresponsive - I called, send emails, and even came in person three times to try to get this thing cancelled and nobody did that for me. I finally come in on a day the manager is in and she tells me (in a very condescending tone) that it's my fault for not coming in earlier to cancel it... even though I had, but the girl that was here didn't have me sign a form and instead just told me it would be taken care of. When she pulled out the membership form I signed to show it to me, I saw initials on there that I never wrote and are not even in my handwriting... one of the employees there literally forged my initials. When I brought this to the managers attention, she scoffed at me and told me "nobody would forge your signature." I don't see any other explanation for the initials being a completely different handwriting than my own... When I asked for the corporate number, I was told they're "not allowed" to give that out. I tried contacting the senior manager who apparently works out of Miami and could not get through. Do not sign up here unless you want to be a member for life. If they at least called back or emailed when they said they would, it would be ok, but even that is too much to ask. I'm so disappointed. I wish I could get through to corporate, because the management here is very lacking. Tori should not be in customer service. I've worked in the industry for three years and have managed my own salons (which is why I know that when someone asks for the corporate number, you are legally mandated to provide it), and the way this was handled is completely inappropriate. read more

So I've been coming to South Beach Tanning for a few years mainly because they make Spray Tanning affordable with their great package deals. I started off at the Wilton Manors location, then coconut creek and since moving to lighthouse point I now go to Deerfield. The past couple times at the deerfield location I have left disappointed though. One time I came at night around 9 to get a spray and when I walked in she said sorry our systems are down and were not doing anymore tans tonight. Okay things happen... so now I have to drive to the Coconut Creek location since I needed a spray that night for a wedding the next day.. The next time was during the day I went to get a spray I guess they switched the rooms ( which I got dark and the other girl didn't want to be dark) accidentally walked in on her naked awkward. Thankfully I let them know before hers started but then when I got into the room it wouldn't start and pretty much waited standing there naked for 30 mins for it to restart. But at least I got my tan. Now Tonight it was raining all night and I finally waited for the rain to stop @ 9:34 I went in and apparently they stop spraying now at 9:30...Needless to say I was annoyed. So of course drive all the way to coconut creek since they are open an hour later. It wasn't the girls fault but I guess I need to call every time before I go... read more
