Sandwich was tasteless for something that took 4 people to make. Weird vibe in this place.

We first discovered this place about a year ago and, tbh, we were not immediately impressed…read more.. mostly because we ordered the wronf things, I think... But... The service was incredible. One of us ordered a salad and she did not like the dressing it came with. One of the employees (Willis) overheard her mention it and was Johnny on the spot offering to remake the salad with a different dressing. Months passed and we went back. I immediately noticed how friendly the staff was. Like crazy friendly. Like... maybe they even enjoy their jobs friendly (in food service that is pretty rare). This time Jerry took our order. Super friendly and interactive. I mentioned that he seemed really happy. He informed us that one of his favorite artists was dropping a new album that night and couldn't wait to hear it. We went back a few days later and Jerry was there again. I asked him how he liked the album and then we got into a discussion of music. We discovered we had very similar interests. Anyway, we are now very regular customers. I have met Jerry, Willis, one of their new hires, Miah, and their new Manager, Travis. Every time I go in, if I meet someone new, they are just as friendly as everyone else. I am slowly getting to know them all. Also, I now have my favorites. The Almost Fried Chicken is really good as well as the Chicken Parm. If you are looking for a place with a positive atmosphere and good eats, be sure to put this on your list.

The salads were fresh and really good, and we tried a few different sandwiches that were all very tasty and flavorful. Everything tasted fresh and well made. Definitely looking forward to trying the restaurant for dine-in next time!

My son and I came to Buckhorn BBQ & Grill for their National Tri Tip Day celebration. First 100…read morepeople get a free Tri Tip Sandwich (we were too late at 12:20pm), but if you missed out on the free ones, then they had them for purchase at a special $9.99 price. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a couple of employees at the balloon archway at the front of the restaurant, handed each of us a National Tri Tip Day sticker and told about the specials they had for this event: free tri tip sandwiches for the first 100 people, $5 draft beers and a chance to win free tri tips for 1 year. They were decently busy, so we opted to order at the outside pickup window and take our order home to eat. We ordered 4 tri tip sandwiches to take home ($43.21 with tax). When I opened up my Buckhorn Rewards App, I saw that I had an 1 year celebration reward (5oz Burnt Ends w/ Fried Onion Strings), I redeemed that with my order. At the ordering counter the had a QR code to enter their "Free Tri Tips for a Year" drawing, which I entered. Both their tri tip sandwiches and Burnt Ends were delicious! They had some side sauces (chipotle ranch and sweet fire BBQ) that I poured onto the sandwich and then I dipped the sandwich in their Au Jus which was a great combination. I believed the tri tip sandwiches are normally $15.50, but were $9.99 for today's event, it was a great deal. Buckhorn BBQ and Grill is a great place for the BBQ meat lover. Their prices are not cheap, but the quality is there. They do have some deals on the menu and specials on certain days such as $10 for 3 fish tacos on Fridays. Don't forget to join their rewards program for free food.

I was shocked to learn that this is only Camille's second shift behind the bar, but she managed to handle hungry, cranky diners like a pro. Always get the same thing here tri-tip and the crispy chicken salad. This restaurant gets five stars because it's consistent on the long drive home from Sac to San Francisco. It's nice to be able to stop along the way and know exactly what you're going to be eating. Tonight was an extra bonus because Camille is quite the conversationalist and a great addition to this restaurant

Loved their Green Goddess's Salad for lunch, and their 2 for 2- you can have a variety of different combos- soup and salad, soup and half sandwich, etc. and the quality is always good- never had a bad salad, soup, or sandwich. When my Mom was still with us, this was her fav spot to go. If you sign up with their app, you can order on the app, dine in and order from your table and pick it up at the counter! You get rewards for using the app, so I would sign up if you haven't already! So convenient when there is a long line! When you enter you can see all the pastries and bagels behind the counter- they have a glass display of what is available to order which is a great idea. Drinks, seating and coffee are on the right side of the restaurant. They serve Peets coffee- my fav so it's a win win! As always, I will be back!

This place was definitely busy at lunch time, and our orders took quite a bit of time to come out. Stopped by this small Cuban restaurant recently and had a great experience overall. It's definitely…read morea cozy spot -- the interior is pretty small with limited seating, and you order at the counter when you walk in. Luckily the weather was perfect the day we went, so we grabbed a table outside and it ended up being the ideal way to enjoy the meal. We started with a Cuban café with condensed milk, and it was incredible. The coffee was bold and rich like a good Cuban espresso should be, and the condensed milk added the perfect amount of sweetness and creaminess. It was smooth, strong, and honestly one of the best cups of coffee I've had in a while. For food, she ordered the chilaquiles and I ordered the ropa vieja plate, and we also added an order of papa rellenas to share. The chilaquiles were easily the star of the show. The chips were perfectly coated in sauce without being soggy, and the sauce itself had a really unique flavor compared to the traditional chilaquiles I'm used to. It had a deeper, richer taste with just the right balance of spice and tang. Every bite was packed with flavor and it felt like a really thoughtful twist on the dish. The ropa vieja was just as impressive. The shredded beef was incredibly tender and flavorful, clearly slow-cooked because it just fell apart with each bite. The seasoning was spot on -- savory, slightly tomatoey, and really comforting. It came with black beans and rice, and even though I'm usually not a big fan of black beans, these were excellent. They had a lot of flavor and a great texture, not watery or bland like they sometimes can be. The only thing that didn't quite land for me was the papa rellenas. They were well made, but I was expecting something with more of an empanada-like texture or a crispier outer bite. Instead, it was much more potato-forward, which made it a little heavier than I was hoping for. Service was amazing! Kind friendly staff Overall though, the food was flavorful, the coffee was amazing, and the relaxed outdoor seating made it a really enjoyable meal. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in the area.
