Everyone here is so sweet and helpful, and from what I've observed, they know many of their customers by name. You can feel the genuine sense of community. That same care carries over into the food. Everything is fresh, wholesome, and intentionally made. You can tell they care about the food they're serving and the people they're serving it to. For the longest time, I couldn't stop ordering the turkey pesto sandwich because it was that good. Once I finally started trying other menu items, I realized it wasn't just one great sandwich. Everything I've had has been delicious. The coffee and tea are exceptional as well. Manteca is so lucky to have a place like Bean & Leaf. This is a place that genuinely nourishes its community, and I think that's something really special.

Given the multitude of licenses at stake in such enterprises, I wish to share my recent experience at this location. This morning, my husband and I visited, and we were somewhat disappointed with the quality of our orders. He ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk, while I ordered an oat milk latte with an extra shot of espresso at a temperature of 200 degrees. He also selected a ham, cheese, and egg croissant, and I opted for a bacon and cheese croissant. Regrettably, the items did not meet our expectations. The beverages lacked the desired strength; although the temperature was correct, I was informed after placing our order that they were out of oat milk and had to substitute it with almond milk. Given that we had already paid approximately $30, this was quite disappointing. Despite these concerns, we did not request a discount or refund, and we accepted the substitution that was communicated to us approximately 10 to 15 minutes after placing our order. On a positive note, the staff were very courteous, and the establishment was clean. However, I suspect that the items we ordered may not represent the best offerings on their menu. While the service was commendable, there was a notable wait involved. It would have been preferable to have been informed of the oat milk shortage prior to payment, as we might have chosen to leave at that point. Unfortunately, our dissatisfaction led us to seek alternative options, and we subsequently drove to Stockton to visit Peet's Coffee, where we consistently find lattes prepared to our liking. While we may not return to this location, I do not wish to portray it negatively. It is clear that the establishment has potential, yet our experience did not align with our expectations.

Like I'm about to drive home quiet with the radio off and everything. First off, The guy that helped me with the dreads. Excellent! Superb service. The grilled cheese was perfect! Crispy, toasted buttery edges and center. The mushrooms were sliced uniform and had a heavy presence! Not lack of mushrooms what so ever. Everything held together with a hard cheese pull and garlic herb seasoning. Something as simple as a grilled cheese if often made horribly. I can't praise this one enough! Garlic tatter tots were crispy, covered in garlic aioli, garlic bits and parsley. My family stopped eating what they got and went in on them! Lemonade is my vice. Every time I see lemonade on the menu it's mandatory and I'm glad I went for it. Perfect! Tart, fresh lemon and just the right sweetness! If you're reading this and are a fan of grilled cheese. Stop. (Yes- already planning my follow-up visit!) I used a delivery service, so when I opened the door and was hit with the aroma of garlic, I knew I was going to be happy. :-D The garlic tots did not disappoint, covered in minced garlic and seasoning, with the perfect crunchy finish. The bacon jam sandwich was a nice balance of sweet and tangy with what felt like a bit of a smoked undertone. No regrets this afternoon! While Oozey's definitely can't be a caloric norm- it's certainly being added to my treat day options!

I'm never sure what to order with sourdough bread, so I just ordered the Italian sandwich with mozzarella, onions, and lettuce. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder because there was a $2.00 difference and I didn't feel that the cup would be enough. The order was fulfilled quickly and the dasher arrived fairly quickly, as well. The food was still at a good temperature and wrapped carefully. I wonder if the clam chowder was made by the same people who made the clam chowder for the other sourdough restaurant. It was good enough but not as good as what I've had on Cape Cod. The sandwich was good with reasonable meats and cheese and a good portion for a 6 inch.
