This place is truly amazing. Still thinking about their 'turmeric milk' and 'peanut-to-butter'…read moremachine, not even to mention how many kinds of goji or mocha you could find here. After leaving Adelaide about 2 years, I still try to make their special winter drink turmeric milk at home. It's a gold, warm, sweet yet healthy drink with goji in it. And the peanut butter is still the best I've tried, maybe because they were directly pressed from real peanuts into butter in front of you. Go check it out if it still offering. And the desserts, oh their desserts, now I can only miss them in my mind--just want to have few slices right now! So creamy, smooth, yet no-burden to eat one or two. Don't miss this gem when hanging around at the market!

This extension of Goodies an Grains just shows how successful they are as a business. The Kitchen offers a range of lunch items (salads, sandwiches, pasties, slices & bars) and a juice bar. In fact, they cater for a lot of dietary requirements which is great to see. There are lots of gluten free, vego, vegan and paleo options. The juice menu is exactly the same as next door. But, since this is probably the most popular juice destination in the Adelaide Central Market, they keep themselves busy. The Glorious Green is what its name suggests. Packed full of refreshing green veg and fruit. This is like my pick me up or lunch sub when I am in a rush. Every time I have chugged this juice, I just get so much energy afterwards. It's earthy, not sweet. The celery in this one really stands out. So, if you are not a fan of earthy tasting green juices, order something else. Everything on the menu is great! I am sure you will find something that appeals to you.

This cafe has strong rainforest vibes, which is beautiful and comforting at the same time…read more I swung by on a Sunday morning, and it was incredibly busy so I was lucky to get a seat outside on the sidewalk. Ordered the Sunshine Poachie, which was delicious, albeit a little messy; it would have been helpful to have a steak knife to cut through it, as half ended up on my lap. Long black was also great: rich, hot and flavorful. No milk needed! I'd love to return on a weekday and feel more comfortable lingering a bit longer. On this visit, I ate quickly and gave up my seat to someone in the long line of those waiting to be seated.

We snagged a seat outside on the warm winters day which was also a bonus - basically every seat in the place was nearly full. The menu is small for lunch, selection of salads, sandwiches etc and sourcing local ingredients. I was tossing up between a salad and the soup and by recommendation of the friendly girl behind the counter I chose the roast carrot and freekah salad. The food arrived fairly quickly, one ordered the hearty vegetable soup and another the roast pumpkin stack. I was really disappointed in my salad - it had no dressing or any flavours whatsoever. The freekah was bland, the salad greens were bitter and the carrot was just covered in fennel seeds. I added a tonne of salt and pepper but it didn't do much. My friend with the soup also had to add a large amount of salt to try and bring some flavour out. Apparently the pumpkin stack was good - the goats cheese look good on that. Overall I think it's not bad for breakfast but lunch might be a miss. Plenty more amazing spots closer to the market that might be more worth a visit

Not bad! This is a…read morenew hot pot place in Chinatown of Adelaide. When it first opened there were tons of people but it's chilled down a bit lately. We went on a weekday and there were about 4 or 5 more couples dining in. The decor is very Chinese and it was odd there was no background music. The staff barely spoke any English but we managed to order using the English menu. There are two types of meat. Fresh meat and frozen meat. We tried the wagyu from the fresh meat and lamb from the frozen. The lamb came thinly sliced, very good for hot pot. The wagyu came in thicker slices almost good for grilled meat. I would recommend getting frozen meats because they are able to cut it thinly. We also got the veggie assortment, enoki mushrooms, tofu skin, soft tofu, along with the 2 types of meats. We have tried the Go In hot pot a few times before and think this place is superior in terms of the meat quality and the amount of veggies out get. The total for two was $80. Recommend!

We requested extra spicy and we surely got it. The only place that have us deadly good heat in our hot pot. The fresh meats are cut thicker than, in my opinion, it should be. Great variety on sauce but is missing the peanut sauce. Huge list from menu to choose from including exotic items like fish egg buns. I highly recommend this place. You will end up spending about $50-$85 pp.

I also liked their durian smoothies. This time, I ordered the combination rice and hubby chose the spicy beef noodle soup. He ended up ordering his own combination rice. (He's not satisfied with sharing plate hahaha) I love the combination rice. I think this is one dish that I'll keep ordering here from now on lol. I'm more of a 'rice meal" person and this dish is like perfect for me. All the ingredients are appealing for my taste --- the crispy pork, the sunny side up egg, meat loaf and the vermicelli. I also love the vinegar dip which makes the dish tastier! Oh and this is served with a small bowl of yummy broth. I also tried hubby's spicy beef bowl but I was too keen with my own plate so I just find the noodle soup ok. Customer service wise, the girl who took our order and prepared our table wasnt friendly --- looks so bored, didnt even smile. But the guy who served our meal is very nice and cheerful.

I visited Thanh-Thanh for the first time on Tuesday and was absolutely blown away…read more I had seen it hiding down that little alley way that is Field Street, and had been meaning to hit it up for some time. Finally that opportunity arose. I was pretty much in it for the Pho, which is probably my favorite Vietnamese dish and I wanted to see where they ranked. They pretty much topped the town. There was a number of different options available, which for starters was welcome change. I almost regret now not being a bit more adventurous and ordering ordering one the more special pho's on offer, such as the combination which included tripe and meatballs. However, the fresh beef slice pho which I ordered was really too good to complain about. Served with a plate of fresh beenshoots, coriander, basil and a big bowl of fresh chili (which i might add was perfectly temperatured) the fragrant broth was delicious and the lightly cooked meat was juicy and tender. There was chili sauce on the table which I tried separate to the pho to see what it was like. It had that characteristic peanut taste that is present everywhere other than china town cafe and which I find a bit unpleasant. An oddity I noticed was the service of the cutlery of which I have uploaded a photo. Between the two of us we were presented with one western fork, one western spoon a set of chopsticks and an asian style soup spoon aesthetically arranged, but with no concordance as to which implement belonged to whom. Don't know whether this is some sort of cultural tradition or just an all bases covered approach, either way it was quite amusing.

This is a review in progress, more to be added once I try the other dishes…read more I haven't eaten at Central market since I was a kid, and decided to grab a quick bite before work. I have to say, I've never tried Russian food but I love trying new things so why not. There were also Chinese dishes on the menu, which is fair due to the geographical location of Russia. I got the beef and onion piroshki pie, which is a deep fried bao basically. It may sound plain, but I think of it as a pro because there's no ambiguity- you get exactly what's stated. It's a little bit greasy maybe from sitting under the heat, but it's quite delicious, beefy and savoury. But then again most things deep fried are good. Price is alright, $4.50. It won't fill you but grabbing one as a snack can keep you going to the next meal

The piroshki Cafe use to be a East-european little canting if I didn't remember wrong. Now it's been taken from a Chinese couple, but what interesting is, there're not only noodle soup or fried rice on the menu, my attention draw by the borsch soup and cabbage rolls. The owner is from north-east China where is border on Russia, he learnt to make some featured and distinguish Russian/Polish dishes like borsch soup and piroshki. My favourite dish is the borsch soup with dumplings, there're beef, pork and potato dumplings to choose from, and served in a bowl of burgundy-colour soup, it has beet root and leaves, potato and cabbages in it, top with a scoop of sour cream, before eating, you can mix the sour cream in the soup and tastes so good, it's not like those Chinese noodle soup or Korean spicy soups, but with a delightful mild and light sweet flavour, the beef dumplings I had are in a perfect grease and match the mild-taste soup so well. Every friend I bought here to have the soup all loved it. The cabbage roll comes with 3 side salad: carrots, potato salad and purple cabbage salad. The cabbage roll itself is filling with diced beef and rice. A nice choice if you don't want to have soup. And the Piroshki! It's a must try, fresh fried dough filling with beef&rice (their best seller), beef&onion, spinach&ricotta, potato&beef and much more, and a big fried donut thing in cycle shape, tastes like less sweet donut. Better to eat the piroshkis when they're warm, could be a great simple breakfast with coffee or just an afternoon bites. I'm also surprised they have turkish/greek coffee on the menu, Man this place is full of exoticism. Extra star for its uniqueness.

Service is fast and very friendly, and the staff were very happy to talk through menu items and provide recommendations. They are also very happy to help with 'menu maths' to make sure you get exactly what you want for the best price - they helped us work out if it was better to order the scrambled eggs and add avocado or the avocado mash and add eggs! The food itself - absolutely delicious. My favourite thing to get here is breakfast, and I've never been even slightly disappointed with anything that has arrived at my table. I LOVE the avocado mash dish but everything is gold. Aside from the food, what I love about this place most of all are its little quirky touches - every time I visit I notice some other little touch in the decor! I love the butcher knife door handle and the TV aquarium... and my housemate and I have lost sleep trying to figure out how to set up some similar alcohol rigging in our own home! A great place for Sunday brunch and several coffees :)
