Real help for Misophonia and Hyperacusis. My teenage daughter is finishing up her treatment at PAC…read moreAudiology for both Misophonia and Hyperacusis. We are very grateful to Anna Mamiya and the team at PAC for helping our daughter! Her condition made everyday life for her very stressful and painful. It impacted pretty much every aspect of her life and determined what we could do as a family. We are now able to eat dinner as a family again and go out in public to loud spaces - like the mall, Costco, etc. School has become much easier. The treatment does not cure misophonia, but it does teach her brain that the trigger sounds are not something that it needs to react strongly to and get away from. Yes, chewing sounds will always be annoying, but there is no strong emotional response anymore. I highly recommend anyone dealing with misophonia or hyperacusis to have a consultation with Anna Mamiya. She explains the science behind the treatment and what can be achieved. It all lined up with what I had already learned about the conditions so it made sense to have my daughter get the treatment. I am so glad we did! Life is so much easier now for her and us!

Dr Maimaya is the second audiologist I've used. I had no point of reference for the first folks and…read moredidn't realize what I was missing. She was incredibly thorough and took time to explain to me what she was doing and what my results meant. I didn't feel rushed and felt like my options were clearly explained. The craziest thing is that when I went to pick up my new hearing aids, she forgot to give me the cable for the charger. I didn't realize this until she showed up at my house that evening to drop it off. That's someone who takes their responsibilities seriously and cares about their patients. Follow ups have been super helpful in adjusting the aids to my needs. Highly recommended.

You get what you pay for. Total Hearing has name brand, new technology hearing aids. They are run…read moreby degreed audiologists and are there FOR their clients. Conveniently located at Mockingbird and Abrams, and other locations, we drop by and have our hearing aids cleaned at any time and if there were to be a problem, (which we have had none in 5 years), they will give you a loaner pair while yours are sent out for service or your annual deep cleaning. Prices are reasonable and with the guarantee and warranty, well worth the cost. Yes, you can go "cheaper", but Livingston and Bell Tone, Sam's and Costco are NOT anything like the quality you get with a name like Oticon Hearing Aids, where the company puts people first. Hearing aids are a big investment so you don't want to go for the "bargain" price and compromise the most important thing--quality, reliability and most of all PERFORMANCE. Total Hearing has ALL your bases covered. Price range depends on the severity of your hearing crisis. We will continue to patronize Total Hearing as technology changes and our hearing needs progress through the years. You owe it to yourself to explore your options for where to purchase your hearing aids. Google the pros and cons of places like Sam's and Cosco. Do NOT go by what others say because everyone's hearing status is different. You may require a much advanced hearing aid from Sam's or Cosco, which would put you at the same price as Total Hearing. The range of cost will depend on the severity of your hearing loss. For that, I would recommend genuine, professional care, such as you will receive at Total Hearing.

I was referred to Dr. Farid @ Optum by my PCP Dr. Parle-Pechera (also @Optum, and also…read morefantastic...). Long story short, she saved my life entirely due to her incredible attention to detail, with a need to always prioritize her patients safety. She uncovered an unruptured brain aneurysm that would have either killed me or left me disabled. My allergies and sinuses had been bothering me for years, and I wanted some advice. She was incredibly attentive and thorough in all of my visits with her. She sent me for a hearing test and and allergy test and while I had some imaging of my sinuses, she went above and beyond normal guidelines and sent me for a CT scan that led to the aneurysm finding, an incidental finding, entirely based on her experience and instincts. Aneurysm has been stented, and I will be glad to have Dr. Farid finally do my Septoplasty. So incredibly lucky to have been referred to Dr. Farid!!! She really takes her time with patients, and is a great listener. I have never ever felt rushed n our many appointments. You are lucky if also found her :)

She discovered within minutes that what another provider had dismissed as routine polyps in my sinus area was much more serious. In the same day, I was in MRI--she discovered it was cancer, and saw me through the entire process of getting me diagnosed, biopsied and nearly 2 years later I am cancer free. Her office staff cares and actually answers the phone, too..... This is the first review I have ever written online, so that kind of says it all.
