We loved their taste in music based on the playlists we heard and after one conversation, I already felt that I was in good hands from the thoughtful questions they asked and the really beautiful, positive energy they exuded. It was a collaborative process so they knew which songs we definitely wanted to include, the vibe we were going for during each part of the whole day, and they also had such an intuitive way to read the room and really set a mood moment to moment. Our venue did not have any kind of set up and had all sorts of strange rules because it was surrounded by a residential area. Since it was their first time working in the space, DJ Maxxwell did a walk-through and came up with an entire plan that ensured we'd stay within the venue's rules and involved moving their system after the ceremony so that we wouldn't have to incur more rental fees for additional speakers. We had very particular cues during the ceremony and we had several toasts during dinner.
