This review is long overdue but here goes-- We had our wedding back in October and got quotes and sent emails back and forth from about a dozen DJs. We knew right away when we talked to Peter on the phone that he was the right fit for us and our wedding. Not only are his rates competitive but dang what an incredibly nice/chill human being. Hiring Peter and his team was one of the best decisions we made for our big day. He kept our evening on track without ever making us feel pressured, he checked in with us throughout the evening to ensure we were having a good time, but most importantly he played all the bangers we requested all night long and kept the vibe up the whole evening. Overall a great communicator and all around good guy who really helped get our bridal party going and energized leading up to the grand entry. Even months after our wedding our friends have continued to tell us how impressed they were with our DJ and the music. Also, while I think we were his last students as he was phasing out this service, we also hired him to teach us how to move to our first dance song. My fiancé and I have two left feet but with Peter's help (and his awesome wife too!) I can say we looked pretty darn good out there! In any case, we highly recommend Araiza Events for DJ/MC services. We hired Peter for our wedding back in August (8/17/19), and we can't recommend him enough! He was great from start to end. Peter was first recommended by our wedding coordinator, who has worked with Peter at other events. After meeting him, my wife and I felt very confident he was the perfect DJ for our wedding. He made us feel very comfortable and we felt he had our best interest in mind. Leading up to the wedding, Peter was always easily reached and responsive. He took the time to get to know us and made sure our wedding reflected who we are and what we wanted. We communicated often to review details, timelines, playlists, and more. On our wedding day he showed up early to set up his equipment and lighting, and he was the last to leave. He was fantastic with announcements, transitions, intros, and had our guests dancing all night! What really stuck out was his easy-going manner, and professionalism. He genuinely took good care of us (like family), wanting to make sure we were happy and enjoying our wedding reception! Note: not all vendors are easy to deal with but he was not one of those! Bottom line: Peter was professional, caring, well prepared, flexible, responsive and easy-going! When I was asked to participate in a dance competition for charity, I needed to find someone who could not only teach me the steps in a short period of time, but also guide me creatively through trying to pay tribute to a friend through the performance. I've had many parties and party planners in my life, but Peter and Jenny are BY FAR the best ones I've ever hired! I hired them for my wedding, I can't recommend them high them enough. If you're looking for a magical event exactly how you dreamed of, this is the company to hire. Not one time did I hear about problems or complications on the day of my wedding, they were amazing problem solvers. I only heard about the problems when my bridesmaids were laughing and chatting, at brunch the next day, they mentioned how great Peter and Jenny handled the situations. I would say that Araiza events definitely stick by their motto of more than just a Dj. We were blessed to have Peter work with us because not only did we get a great Dj but we got a wedding coordinator and so much more all wrapped up in one. Peter has shown nothing but genuine interest in our story and event being taken place in addition to showing professionalism that was beyond compare. From day one peter brought up plenty of ideas and questions that an engaged couple did not think of such as lighting and events during the wedding i.e. shoe game /garter removal. He took it to a different level when he introduced his google form that was so detailed from songs to dance to to songs not to dance to, entrance songs. If Araiza events had a magic sauce that form would be the recipe. Peter was very flexible when it came down to meeting times and also songs of choice as I wanted a medley for the first dance. I gave him the cues and everything went smoothly. He was always honest and upfront with us if something can or can't be done or would come off bad for example my original idea for garter removal could've been taken as insulting my new wife. However peter gave me a different perspective and im glad I changed my plans. On the day of the event peter was the best friend i needed on the other side. Meanwhile my best man/best friend helped me take care of decorations and ensuring my daughters and their nanny were taken care of, Peter ensured i was taken care of from making sure i had utensils to ensuring I had some food in my stomach. He was my rock reminding me to breathe and ensuring no matter the chaos / party bus arriving late / people showing up early / running out of time for the open bar / that everything will turn our great and it did. On top of everything his DJ skillset is amazing. He guided us to make playlists and he incorporated some of my favorite songs during the cocktail hour and dinner. Many times I found myself singing along to songs or catching guests singing with me. These were times where I was going to request a song and before I can even step towards Peter the song is already on. He found and used songs that weren't not available on streaming services to use for the mother son dance. For the last song my wife and I requested a song that isn't common however as it was on our playlist it was ready to go. That created a special moment of drunken bliss that will never be forgotten. Id like to thank Peter and Araiza events for giving me and my wife such a beautiful event to which we will cherish in our memories forever. I hope to get lucky and have him for every vow renewal / wedding / baptism /sweet 16 any event i can get him for. read more
