First time at SoulCycle and it was a blast. I went to Andres class which was a "JLO vs. Shakira" at 5:30pm on Wednesday. I signed up online and checked in with no hassle. The class wasn't super packed but the energy in there was amazing. I can't wait to come back at least three times a week.

Took Pinij's class and am still sore days later!! Such a fun atmosphere during the class with good music and you definitely leave feeling accomplished. A group of us went for a friend birthday and they took a picture of him at the end of class and brought a candle for him to blow out, it was really thoughtful. The studio is similar to other soul's I have been to, except for a very important detail, THIS SOUL HAS LE LABO SOAP!!! (Yes soap, just go try it, trust me!!) it smells amazing and makes you feel so clean before leaving the studio. Also cute signs and stuff to take pictures with for the gram. Only thing - I wish soul was less expensive :-( Not anything specific to this studio though!

Our fabulous network group had a charity ride session at Soulcycle!

I'm so thrilled about all the spinning studies Houston has now. I got to participate in a class today as part of the Houston Ellevate network group. Love the location, was able to find parking easily and check in team was great, friendly and efficient. Only four stars because I had trouble getting someone to help me adjust my bike and it still didn't feel right so the ride was a little uncomfortable for me. Also, the bikes are SO close together that I kept hitting my poor neighbor :( Other than that, it was a terrific experience. Loved the music, the energy and the facility. I will be back and will try to get better help with the adjustment process. Also, lockers were spacious and easy to use. Everything was markes and clear, making it easy to find your way around. They sell nice, large bottles of Smart Water for $2. This is a great addition to Houston's fitness studios!

Super cool display!! This is how the bikes actually look so cool!!

I'm am so happy SoulCylce has mad it's way to Houston! I first heard about it last summer when I went to Chicago with a friend. Yet we didn't have time to work it in our trip. So when I heard one was opening in Houston my dream came to life!! Today May 2nd, 2016 was my first time ever doing cycling period and it was a wonderful experience! This place is in a great area in River Oaks! Right next to Local Food for healthy eating afterward! The ambiance and color combos of white with pops of black and yellow is awesome!! The staff were so amazingly friendly! Today smart water and shoes were free ! So awesome !! Lockers were plenty and easy to use!! I advise getting there atleast 20 minutes early to relax and not feel to rushed because if you are a first time rider like me you will need help finding your bike setting it up and clicking your shoes in! But they have people to help with that! It was so awesome!! Started off with some pop and hip hop, edm then slowed it down with some cool music toward the in! I felt liberated ! Best fitness experience of my life! I love fitness I belong to a UFC gym but this beats that by far!! Look I drove way from Fresno, to for this class and I'll come once a week to get my soul cycle fix!! Phenomenal place must try for everyone ! I understand it's a bit pricey, but Its worth it. If you can put your money toward going out to eat or the movies you can indulge in this too!! All about what makes you happy!! No complaints here! And I took Channele's class wow is all I have to say! See ya next week!

Fast forward to now, when I renewed my ClassPass for a month trial, RYDE was the very first class I booked because it was my favorite. I've tried other cycling establishments, but RYDE reigns superior. The studio is clean and modern. And the bathrooms are equipped with everything a girl will need, and they have Aesop soap! That's all that I need to say. I am a regular rock climber, but once I phase out of that, I can definitely see myself being a RYDE regular. The classes are high-energy, and the instructors are fantastic at keeping you motivated. I thoroughly enjoyed my classes with Gustavo and Leon. If you are on the fence about giving cycling here a chance, please do yourself a favor and try it out. It is like a party, but you're putting your energy into biking. I'm not sure when I will be back because I currently cannot justify paying almost $300 a month for a membership, but I look forward to my next visit to RYDE!

I've taken multiple teachers, and all have been great. Be warned, this is the type of cycling class where you'll be doing arm choreography, but that's what makes it so fun! It's a really clean space, and the room is dark, so you don't have to worry about all eyes being on you. I wouldn't say it's easy for beginners, but you can always adjust to your needs.

The static fit yoga class at Duo Houston with Lesbianland was such a good time. It was outside, the weather cooperated, and the energy was just right. A whole crowd of beautiful women, good music, and a space that felt safe, calm, and fun all at the same time. Morgan Brown led the class and really set the tone. It felt grounding but still had a little spice to it, not boring at all. After class, they had matcha and acai bowls and gave us 15% off, which I love because who doesn't want a little reward after pretending you can plank longer than you actually can. Speaking of... they had a planking contest and somebody held it for over five minutes. I tapped out mentally just watching. Only thing to note, if you want coffee you'll need to walk over to a nearby shop in Autry Park, but it's super close so no complaints there. Overall, great vibes, great people, and definitely a space I'd come back to.

Since I mapped it out beforehand, I knew where to park and how to get to the gym. This was a fairly large shopping area, but EQX was right there, and the desk is there in front once you enter. There was a really nice girl this day with long braids, and she directed me upstairs to the locker room and informed me that parking validation was not necessary at this time; the gate just went up as you pulled up to it. Perfect! After going upstairs, I did wander around and then a trainer directed me over to the locker room, which was spacious and very clean. The fitness floor is on the second, and as soon as I found the treadmills, I knew where I belonged. Light movement in the stretching area after, and then back to a shower with decent water pressure. What I was fascinated with was how friendly staff was. Trainers actually smiled and said goodbye which you won't normally see in California or New York. I certainly wasn't at home! Compared to other locations, this one was very low-key, although I admit I came during the afternoon where it was probably quieter. I had forgotten this is the location that I was in contact with back in 2020 when I had ordered some masks from their shop since they were actually open. I had such a good experience that the trip here to see them in person was worth it!

You do a 60 min workout consisting of 20 min of spin, 20 min of strength, 20 min of yoga in that order. i've tried so many spin and pilates classes and i find myself getting bored of them but i never get that feeling at Spenga. Liz is a phenomenal instructor, but all of the instructors are so high energy and make sure you have correct form to stay safe while working out. The first time I took Spenga, I kept telling my best friend I wanted to come back immediately! We both booked through ClassPass since we wanted to try out a new studio. The instructors have AMAZING energy, especially when we first took our class with Sergio. He was motivating, smiled, and just had this high energy that kept me going in my workout. ESPECIALLY, during the first 20 min of the spin portion. I recorded my workouts on my apple watch for each section and booooiiii you basically burn about 400 calories total! I later found out that the free class doesn't include reformer Pilates, so I signed up for a Yin Yoga class instead. I've been practicing yoga for over two decades. Signing up online was easy but I received a flood of emails asking me to download different apps along with multiple email and text reminders for one class. Personally, I found the reminders excessive. The studio wasn't very busy when I arrived around 4:30 pm. However, I wasn't told which room my class was in, so I found myself wandering around until another member kindly pointed me in the right direction. Unfortunately, my first interaction with the instructor left a poor impression. As I was walking into the room and putting my phone on silent, she immediately said, "No phones inside." The comment came across as abrupt and presumptive. I wasn't planning to use my phone during class as I was simply silencing it before putting it away. A friendlier approach would have made a much better first impression. She then asked me to grab two yoga blocks. Once inside, I found the room extremely dim. As someone with low vision, it was difficult to navigate and I briefly considered leaving. Since I was already there and because I'd practiced hundreds of Yin Yoga classes but had never experienced a heated Yin class, I decided to stay. I'm actually a longtime fan of heated yoga and love Bikram yoga (now hot yoga) when it first opened in HTX. The class itself was somewhat enjoyable and I felt good both during and afterward. After class, I wasn't sure where to return the yoga blocks. Another student asked me the same question and we quickly realized we were both first-time visitors. This highlighted something that could easily be improved: it would be helpful if instructors spent just a minute welcoming first-time students and explaining a few basics, such as studio etiquette, where to put props after class, and any post-class expectations. Small touches like that can make newcomers feel much more comfortable. Before leaving, I checked out the locker rooms and noticed they have showers. The facility is spacious and offers a wide variety of classes, including aerial yoga, which looked interesting. Overall, the studio has a lot to offer. However, the onboarding experience and instructor interaction could be more welcoming for first-time visitors. While the facility is impressive, I'm not sure I can justify paying over $200/month for a membership although there are lower tiers. in addition, I travel abroad frequently and read that there is a $35 fee to freeze the account.
