I don't know her name, but she was fantastic with breathing techniques and stretch, stretching techniques and form. This place has lockers outside for you to put your stuff in and the lockers in the locker room. Along with clean bathrooms with blow dryers and all the essentials you need to take a shower and head to your next spot. A very IG SPOT!

I later found out that the free class doesn't include reformer Pilates, so I signed up for a Yin Yoga class instead. I've been practicing yoga for over two decades. Signing up online was easy but I received a flood of emails asking me to download different apps along with multiple email and text reminders for one class. Personally, I found the reminders excessive. The studio wasn't very busy when I arrived around 4:30 pm. However, I wasn't told which room my class was in, so I found myself wandering around until another member kindly pointed me in the right direction. Unfortunately, my first interaction with the instructor left a poor impression. As I was walking into the room and putting my phone on silent, she immediately said, "No phones inside." The comment came across as abrupt and presumptive. I wasn't planning to use my phone during class as I was simply silencing it before putting it away. A friendlier approach would have made a much better first impression. She then asked me to grab two yoga blocks. Once inside, I found the room extremely dim. As someone with low vision, it was difficult to navigate and I briefly considered leaving. Since I was already there and because I'd practiced hundreds of Yin Yoga classes but had never experienced a heated Yin class, I decided to stay. I'm actually a longtime fan of heated yoga and love Bikram yoga (now hot yoga) when it first opened in HTX. The class itself was somewhat enjoyable and I felt good both during and afterward. After class, I wasn't sure where to return the yoga blocks. Another student asked me the same question and we quickly realized we were both first-time visitors. This highlighted something that could easily be improved: it would be helpful if instructors spent just a minute welcoming first-time students and explaining a few basics, such as studio etiquette, where to put props after class, and any post-class expectations. Small touches like that can make newcomers feel much more comfortable. Before leaving, I checked out the locker rooms and noticed they have showers. The facility is spacious and offers a wide variety of classes, including aerial yoga, which looked interesting. Overall, the studio has a lot to offer. However, the onboarding experience and instructor interaction could be more welcoming for first-time visitors. While the facility is impressive, I'm not sure I can justify paying over $200/month for a membership although there are lower tiers. in addition, I travel abroad frequently and read that there is a $35 fee to freeze the account.

Remember the kid who always trailed in after running the mile breathless well after all the other kids had completed their mile, many under 8 minutes in PE class? Or the kid that always got out first in dodgeball? Well, that is me. I've always been sensed that I am poor at fitness, and subsequently, I never enjoyed it either. That is until Citizen Pilates - my favorite way to work out. It truly is a class for all fitness levels as there are multiple ways to take moves. The instructors are universally friendly, and they gently course-correct but not so often that you feel discouraged. The music is upbeat, and a lot of the moves are a great workout, but many are lower intensity. That's exactly what I'm looking for! My favorite touch is when instructors provide options for taking springs. (Some days, the red or green spring is not my friend) Also, the help desk and support are always there with prompt and ready help should it be needed. Highly recommend for anyone of all fitness levels.

The music was pumping and the instructor had so much energy. The class was challenging while still being very structured. You will get a wonderful workout and feel amazing afterwards. Highly recommend that you don't plan to do much after this class other than go home to shower as you WiLL sweat. The studio is very bright and clean and they have some great LED mood lighting to pump up the workout. There were mirrors all around so you can see your form and lockers to place your loose items in. The team was super friendly and kind and you ever get a nice cold towel after class to cool down. Form gifted me a free class so I will take advantage of that for sure! Thank you for adding something new to my fitness journey!

Definitely one of the more challenging studios, which is what I loved that most! The reformers can look intimidating, but ask for help! Don't be shy! The classes are 45 minutes long and you'll feel accomplished after! The scented cold rags at the end of class are a delight! Parking is available in the garage that connects to the shopping center. Parking is free up to two hours. You can book online through the website or on the app. I definitely recommend trying out the two week unlimited if you're hesitant on making a commitment! AND- At the end of class, you'll receive a "$5" bill that you can choose what organization you'd like the donation to go to! Definitely worth a try if you're loving reformer classes!

This is a great neighborhood YMCA with a good variety of amenities and classes. One of the biggest…read morehighlights is the outdoor pool, which is heated during the winter and stays open year-round unless temperatures drop below freezing. The pool also has a 9-foot deep end and a few lap lanes. One downside is there's very little shade around the pool area. Inside, there are free weights and cardio areas, basketball courts, TRX setup, and several group fitness rooms offering classes like yoga, pilates, Zumba, pickleball, and other fitness programs. The instructors and staff have always been very friendly and welcoming. The men's and women's locker rooms also include a steam sauna and hot tub, which are nice amenities. However, the steam saunas are frequently closed or broken for maintenance, so I'd recommend calling ahead to confirm what's currently working before visiting. Another downside is that the lockers require you to bring your own lock--they do not have built-in combination locks like many newer gyms. They offer memberships for different age groups, and another huge plus is the free covered parking garage. However, during weekday evenings (around 6 p.m.), the garage can get pretty full due to after-work crowds and youth programs. I've been a YMCA member for several years and would definitely recommend this location.

I also like the weight room as it has an impressive selection of smith machines and cardio equipment such as the treadmills which have fans incorporated into their machines. There are 3 things I have noticed that I don't like: 1. the weight room doesn't have a bench that allows you to do workouts in declined mode and the staff wouldn't let me donate a commercial bench with that option. so Declined DB or BB press cannot be done which is strange as it is offered at most corporate gyms. 2. DB selections for the most common weights sets such as 10-25 lb are lacking with only 1 set of DB weights per designated weight for a gym that might have 15 people working out in free weight room (the very least offer *3 sets of 12 lb dumbbells). 3. the men's locker rooms wooden benches and the three leather seats by the tv are stinky dirty and we know this bc every-time I placed my towel on the seats or the bench to change out of my clothes; this foul smell is left on the towel. The smell is so potent that it transfers to my gym bag like trash left out on the sun for several days and I find myself having to wash the towel and the gym bag just to get the homeless stench off. I have learned to avoid the men's locker room like a plague and instead use the lockers found across the gym to put my belongings.

I've been with EOS since they opened their Meyerland location and I'm still going there once a…read moreweek. Parking at Meyerland is horrible and equipment waiting times are not desirable. I was going to cancel my membership but then the Webster location opened. The gym is also very busy and parking is ok. Just have to be patient and find it. Yesterday I went to EOS San Felipe and was completely let down by it. First, parking took a while to find. I hope they have adequate parking or it will be a huge mess. Well, I walked in not knowing it required a higher membership than the $35 I pay now. I told the young guy to let me work in this day and I would think about upgrading my membership because I've been to Other locations, Allen Parkway, etc. I was told I would have to buy a day pass. I'm ok with that because I understand policy. What really upset me was that I needed to use bathroom and I was told no. I would have to purchase a day pass. I had to drive to Meyerland to use the urinal. This is what I call poor customer service and a poor marketing. Perhaps better service would push me to upgrade. Now, there's a high chance the gym chain will lose 2 clients. Chain cons: Poor parking, overcowded, constant sell of $12 memberships. Pros: newer equipment. Polite front desk. Cleanliness.

I was used to the Zumba classes at Lifetime where the instructor has a microphone on so you can hear her call out the steps. It was a bit challenging for me since it was my first time seeing her choreography but I caught on. It was a great workout and I had a lot of fun even if I felt I had two left feet. I will definitely be back for another class.
