I enjoy Define since I discovered it when visiting my mom in Houston. I also am a big fan of Kayla's classes, and she teaches at several studios including this Rivers Oaks one. I have also been taking livestream classes from Define from my home during the pandemic. The classes are a good price ($12) compared the in-studio ones, and there are offerings from 5:30 AM to 7:00 PM, across all types of workouts. The studios are renting equipment for people who do not have that at home. However, since I am several states away, I am already set up with what I have here. I have taken bounce and body classes via livestream and the sound quality is great. There are one or two instructors on zoom, and one is cueing while another is demo-ing. I was also able to take two free classes (one body and one bounce) with the founder, Henry Richardson. I actually was able to talk to him both times before he started the class and he was so nice. My friend joined the bounce class and enjoyed his calm but motivating energy. If livestream continues as some studios open up, I will continue to take them from Kansas. read more

Can we say snooty?! It was my first time here, and the receptionist had me sign a waiver. But, after that, she wasn't very helpful. She just stayed in her seat minding to her own business. I had to ask her how to use the lockers, which had combination locks that didn't even work. I tried two different lockers already. Safe to say, I just brought my handbag into the cycling room because I couldn't trust the security of my things. The spin instructor was not very welcoming either. I had to set up my own stationary bike seat level, and I would've liked a little bit more help to make sure I was comfortable before starting the workout. I mean, the class was only 50% full. Once I did get started, the workout was challenging only because I kept the resistance on my bike up. Otherwise, the instructor was pretty lukewarm with her enthusiasm during the workout. Also, what the heck is up with the dimmed lighting?! I mean, if we were doing yoga or meditation, I get it. But, an intense cardio workout? I couldn't even see some of the moves she was telling me to do, to be honest. The lights should've just stayed on. Even then, the workout music was playing even louder than the instructor was talking. So, I barely knew what she was saying too. I don't feel there was effective communication at all. I wish the workout music was more upbeat as well. I mean, at one point, Ed Sheeran's song, "Perfect" started playing. I was like, wth? There were only women in the room. Awkward. Otherwise, the facility is very clean. They have a bathroom next to the changing rooms. They have automatic hand sanitizers and a water dispensing station. Also, they did give me a free pair of rental shoes for the spin class because it was my first time here. So, that was nice. I don't know that I'd be back, though, just because the customer service was not great, and the workout was not very inspiring. read more

SO OBSESSED. Cannot say enough about Define!!! Honestly the best variety of classes and I have seen more results since I started exercising at Define than I ever saw before! Each instructor has something different to offer and what I love most is that with every method you get a very comprehensive workout. The spin classes involve a weights section (unlike many other studios) and then Beat, Bounce, and Barre target all areas as well. Can't get enough! Also, I have never had any issues with parking. The areas where people should NOT park are very clearly marked. There is also ample parking across the street in the Randall's parking lot. If you're questioning your parking selection, just ask..... And lastly-pricing. Define makes it very clear what the pricing is for everything both on Instagram and their site. And if you aren't clear/have questions, the staff is very friendly and you can just ask. Yes, membership is a bit more expensive but honestly, there is no other place in town that offers these classes so it's a matter of choosing what's important to you!!! I went to two classes here last weekend and both were OK but nothing special. The spin class was fine and I will give it another try. The problem with that one was a lack of help for a first timer. I was told to grab some weights but was not informed where they were (in a box under the instructor station evidently) and I kept asking for help with the shoes. Unfortunately, the helper couldn't figure it out and had to stop the instructor as she was beginning the class. The class itself was OK, but not as intense and well-guided as Ryde, Ride and Soulcycle. The mind class needs a new name. It was not what I expected at all. I thought it would be a nice, relaxing and meditative class. Why they put the mats so close together, I cannot understand - maybe if the class was full, but it wasn't. Be prepared to be hit and touched by all of your neighbors because the instructor has you falling all over each other. And also be prepared to not have relaxation time because it's all movement and stretching, which was kind of painful at times - perhaps I wasn't doing it correctly. I was really looking for a meditative and relaxing class and this was very different. PS - Why does Mens Warehouse need 95% of the parking? Be prepared to park on the street or even across the street because parking is extremely limited. read more

I was a ClassPass user and decided to buy a Define membership because I felt like it was the best deal. I chose the Cardio package, which includes spin, BOUNCE, and yoga. Definitely a great deal compared to other studios with packages for only spin at the same price. - Henry Richardson teaches a mean Bounce class. Well, he is a great instructor in general, which makes sense because he is a co-founder. - I would also recommend: Alison, Natalie, Cornilia, Kirby - Glad that they have an app too! River Oaks + More class options - Parking is okay. MW owns a lot of the parking lot, so you have to park in the adjacent neighborhood. Back in 2009, I took a few PiYoLet (Pilates/yoga/ballet) classes at the Dailey Method in San Francisco and Phoenix and was *SO* jelly that we didn't have anything like it in Houston. So when Define opened circa 2010 ... I was seriously stoked. I checked 'em out in early 2011, and let me tell you ... those other places have nothing on Define. I walked out of my first class with my legs feeling like Jell-O ... but in a good way. And this coming from a gal who actively runs, does hot yoga and bootcamp. By my third class or so, I already noticed changes in my arms and lifted booty. Woot. The classes are challenging but the music and instructors are upbeat so there's a lot of great energy to push you through it. The place is boutiquey; there are digital lockers for your personal items; and they have so many classes, you can fit it into your busy schedule. I wish I could afford the $200 monthly membership, but in the meantime, I'll just await another deal to roll around. read more

I tried this studio on a Saturday morning. I had tried their studio in Austin on a previous trip and LOVED their spin classes. The teacher at my class was GREAT but the studio was stiflingly hot. It got to the point where I knew I could cycle harder but I was so hot I couldn't bear it. Turn up your AC folks! My friend who I went with says this is an ongoing issue at this studio. Ugh. I've been a member of Define on and off for about 8 years. I have done a LOT of searching to find something that even comes close to the feeling I get after I'm done with a Body class from Define-- -and there really is NOTHING that compares to it. When I was not a member, I gained so much weight and found myself with a lack of commitment in other programs because.. well.. they're just not Define! The love, support and general feeling you get being there will never be able to be matched by any other studio. I've been back with in-studio, on Demand and live stream classes since Jan.. and since then I've done a 4 week detox, joined the book club, been to over 90 classes (yes even driving 30 minutes for some of those because it is WORTH it), participated in meditations, made some new life-long friends, lost over 20 pounds and I'm even am heading on a Mexico retreat in October with them! I am SO happy to have my life, time and energy back! Henry Richardson and the Define community he has built is absolutely PRICELESS! I have just completed my 15th class at Define and I am completely obsessed. Every new instructor I meet is so uplifting and creates the best environment. Getting started in your exercise routine is the hardest part and Define has made this transition a habit to stay. I thoroughly enjoy the Body classes even though they push me each time, I will never miss one of Henry's classes! The River Oaks location is my favorite and has the best environment and energy that keeps me pushing myself! Define has truly changed my mentality of showing up for myself. I come here through ClassPass, mostly for barre classes. I think it's a cute, quaint little studio, and I really like the double doors with the openings leading to the barre studio. However, I don't like the parking situation here in the River Oaks location. I know the West U location also has extremely limited parking, but they also have a well-labelled satellite parking area. Wish they could do the same here. Also, didn't appreciate how they didn't have showers, versus many of their other locations do. The mats were too closely cramped in the barre room, so it wouldn't have been pleasant to be on the edges of the room if it had been a packed class. read more

My favorite cycling studio in the Houston area. While the facility and equipment is top notch, the service and instructors make the difference. I also happen to enjoy the music selection during the classes, which usually isn't too loud. I generally don't prefer to wear earplugs while spinning (personal preference) and this studio is one of the few in which I could avoid wearing them. read more

Dropped into a spin class yesterday morning while visiting from Boston as my friend was on ClassPass, which this studio is a part of. Cons: - Zero first time introduction. Thankfully I am well versed in spin and know how to set up my bike, clip in. I also had to locate towels, water and hand weights myself, all three not in overly obvious locations. - Instructor had no microphone. Happens. Part of teaching and frankly, really difficult. However, the class was pretty technical and lots of change throughout a given song which was challenging to figure out what was going on. - Small ball on handle bar. Placement is silly and is asking for injury as the instructor did not advise how to set up bike differently in order to effectively and safely do crunches with hands on this ball. - Class was fairly boring. Same three movements (tap back, push up and crunch) in almost every song. - Instructor did not change lead of arms when lead leg changed. Ie- if Lead was on left, arms were right, left, right, left, instead of left, right, left right. Z - No instruction post class: where do shoes go? Do we clean bikes? Where are the wipes to clean bikes? Pros: - Studio is clean, staff friendly. - Instructor music was great. Really solid playlist! - Class was pleasantly full and people can ride. The instructor taught to the beat of the music and did alternate lead foot which is important both to use both legs but also because not everyone is right foot dominant. - Instructor was incredibly friendly, bubbly. - First class is free! Class was decent. Got a good sweat, but it wasn't anything to write home about. I would check to see what classes were available at Soul or RYDE first before coming back. read more

Overall I had a great experience here for body and spin classes in a boutique fitness center. The instructors are friendly and make the workout tough:) the studio is clean and has basic amenities. It is decorated similarly to the other define facilities which is nice as you know what you are walking into and feels familiar. Parking is tough since the lot is small and there isn't a lot of street parking. Also the studio is smaller than the others and doesn't have a shower if you need to get ready after your workout..that's my main grip about this studio. Bottom line...great place for a barre or spin class in a comfortable and friendly studio. Include time to look for parking as it's very limited. Ugh I actually really enjoyed this location and have been coming for body and bounce for the past year. I normally walk from my house but today I was running late and drove. Bad idea I accidentally parked in a very poorly marked spot that was for Men's Wearhouse only. Had to go to the sketchiest towing location that was super far away to pay 240 for my car back. I'm writing the same review for both Bar Method and Define (body only, not revolution) for people who are looking to compare these two places. I've done a month of unlimited classes at Bar Method and am halfway through my month at Define. The Workout Itself: Overall, I think the Define workouts are harder than Bar Methods. They are a little bit more aggressive and have a slightly more cardio aspect in them that Bar Method does not. I'm glad I did Bar Method first because they emphasize posture and form a lot more than Define. With smaller classes and personalized attention (see Instructors below), the folks at Bar Method corrected me more and I feel like I learnt more at Bar Method about barre. While the workout at Define is harder, being on your high toes is optional at Define whereas at Bar Method its really not - i.e. Bar Method pushes you more. That said... Class sizes/timings: Bar Method has 1 location while Define has a few to choose from. Between work and home, River Oaks and Tanglewood are two good options for me personally at Define. I prefer the studio at Bar Method, its bigger and brighter, while some of Define's classes can seem closed in and are overly crowded especially if you plan to go to the classes right after work. One of the rooms at River Oaks Define doesn't even have windows, is very long and narrow and I always feel like I'm on top of the person next to me. BUT given that Define has more than one location and some places have more than one studio,there's many more options for classes to fit your schedule. That said... Instructors: Because Define has more locations and studios, they also have more instructors. I think it's going to take time to find the instructors that you like. Bar Method being a sole studio with a limited number of instructors (I think 4 in total) and so Bar Method resulted in a more personal experience since all the instructors go out of their way to get to know you. You walk in and they greet you by name and I'm sure you'll get there with Define too, it'll just take a lot longer. Parking: Hassle at both locations but harder at the River Oaks location. Not sure why Men's Warehouse needs so many parking spaces but thats not my battle. Overall: I will probably end up continuing to go to Define Body since it fits my schedule better, especially since the monthly package is more expensive at Bar Method than Define I just can't justify it given that Define has more classes to choose from than Bar Method. It might have been different if Bar Method had more than one studio and offered more class times. Cancellation Policy: Bar Method has a 1 hour cancellation policy vs Define Body's 12 hour policy (charged $5 for a late cancellation). Given that I go right after work and things come up, I much preferred Bar Method's policy. Define Body gets a -1 for: Parking, lack of corrections, crowded studios, too much lululemon clothing, cancellation policy Bar Method gets a -1 for: Parking, limited class timings, no friday afternoon classes, easier workout* * disclaimer: Bar Method is easier than Define IF you are pushing yourself in both classes, have proper form and are not taking it easy. read more

This studio is in the middle of a remodel and does not currently have all the amenities some of the other locations have. They use cubbies vs lockers and they have porta potties outside the studio right now. Parking is a bit tricky, check out their website for parking spot tips. I worked out here twice while on a trip to Houston and took a Define Body and a Define Revolution class. There are two studios, one set up for their barre and yoga classes and a second studio for spinning (Define Revolution). Both the Define Body (barre) and Define Revolution classes were fast paced set to lively music. After taking Define Body I felt it in my shoulders and triceps big time the next day. The Define Revolution was a 45 minute spin incorporating an upper body workout too. In the spin class we were doing pushups, lifting weights and using a resistance ball on the bike. Wear grip socks to the barre and yoga classes and bring your spinning shoes if you have them. Otherwise they sell grip socks and you can rent shoes for $3. read more

The sure sign of a good workout? My legs feel like jelly. Actually, scratch that... my whole body feels like jelly. The classes are held on the second floor and I was a little worried I might collapse on my way back down the stairs at the end. 1 hour with Elizabeth will kick your butt. Seriously, I feel like if I could just make it through the entire class doing everything she said, I would be in the best shape of my life. This was my first class so let me share a few pro tips for other newbies: 1) Arrive early. There is some paperwork to fill out and the (incredibly nice) staff will personally help you get set up and show you everything you'll need for class if you arrive before the check-in rush. 2) The mirror is the front of the room. For your first class, pick a spot in the back. Nothing says "hey I'm new" like looking like an uncoordinated idiot. 3) Modify if needed and give yourself a break. This is intense and it is hard. Unless you've been working out religiously somewhere else, you will probably not be able to keep up with the regulars. Do what you can. No one will make fun of you for taking a quick break mid thigh killing squats or skipping the weights behind your knees in the glute section. I bought a 10 pack and can't wait to start getting back in shape at Define. As soon as my legs recover from today's class that is! read more

I loooove Define but I HATE their late cancel policy. Dude, Define - there are now like a hundred girls waiting for my place. There's no need to charge me just because I decided to sleep in. Not cool. You're not hurting for a buck, but that's the reason you do it. Obviously I'll keep going because I like it - but stop punishing me just because my girlfriend decides she has a cold at 10pm and I'm too insecure to come alone since I don't own enough Lululemon. Edited to add - obviously most of this was written in jest (lulu, for instance). The owner (Hank) wrote me a very nice note explaining the reasoning behind the late cancel policy - since people on the waitlist couldn't be notified in time if there were just no-shows, which makes total sense! AWFUL - Do not recommend. You can walk literally right across the street and go to PureBarre or Ryde which are the same price and a heck of a lot nicer in customer service. After I wrote this review I received a call from the office offering a full refund if I'd take the review down. Bribe me to cover up poor service? Wow. Here was my experience: I called DEFINE River Oaks last month inquiring about how I could visit to try a class to see if I liked it. I had never been before. I was told they don't offer any free first classes to new members like other gyms, but that there was a *special* deal going on that was ending THAT SAME DAY - a 10-year anniversary deal for $100 for 10 classes. That seemed like a lot for me to spend on something I'd never visited so I was hesitant, but they convinced me it was the best deal they'd ever offered. I signed up that day. This week, I was suddenly notified that my 10-class pack expires in 9 days - Shocked, I called to find out that the 10-class pack was only valid for 30-days, but that I could EXTEND it by purchasing another *special* deal for Black Friday - another $100+ option. This was ridiculous to me - I've never seen a large pack like that expiring in a month - Typically at other gyms they last a full YEAR. I'd never have purchased this deal had I known, especially since it coincided with holidays and holiday travel. They offered me two LOVELY options, reminding me MULTIPLE times that "it was written on the website when you purchased the deal when it expired": 1. First offer was to extend the deadline by ONE WEEK (hah so generous!). After mentioning that wouldn't work I was told the absolute best they could do was through end of December (extending original deadline by 1 month). However, I'll only be in town for 2 weeks in the remainder of the year because it's HOLIDAY SEASON. 2. The only other option I was given was to pay FULL price for the other 3 classes, and be reimbursed the remaining $27 for the $100 pack I purchased. I took this because honestly I have zero interest in every coming to this gym again! This is NO WAY to get or keep clients! read more

I've been doing Physique 57 DVDs at home for a while now but wanted to get some real life guidance on form. Unfortunately, Physique 57 has not yet migrated down South so I checked out Yelp for some barre classes. Enter Define. I ran in ten minutes late and missed the arms portion so I can't comment on that just yet. Otherwise, class was similar to my DVDs. I was disappointed that I had spent $20 on something that was available through my DVDs UNTIL I woke up the next morning. THE BURN. OMYGAWD, THE BURN. I don't know what the difference is-perhaps the class environment?- but the workout was AMAZING. I highly recommend the studio. The classes are a tad expensive and the location a bit far for me so I'm holding out until the studio opens a new location in West University but if this is in your area check it out! read more

What a great studio! I will be back for BOUNCE class again soon! I took my first class here and it was Define Bounce, which was taught by Chau Neason. Very awesome instructor that made everyone feel welcomed. You can be at any fitness level but it does help if you have taken group fitness classes before. You get a trampoline and a yoga mat and select two sets of weights. The instructor went over the basic bounce moves for us newbies and then class started. This class requires you follow the down beat of the music, which was pretty simple because the instructor did a great job explaining to us. In between bounce cardio, we did core work, strength training, and leg work. You will break a sweat and be sad, like me, when class ended cause I had too much fun. Overall, great studio, as the check in was a breeze. Very clean and beautifully set up. Will see you soon! read more

Strengths: Ambient studios, free towels, challenging and varied workouts Room for improvement: staff can be bit snooty, reinstate "teacher/educator" discount on drop in classes I recently moved to Austin, Texas, but I still love to drop into a Define class whenever I am in town... unfortunately I feel like they have lost their friendly touch as of my last few visits. When I lived in Houston I was an auto-renew member (for almost 2 years). I started going to Define when there was only one studio in Tanglewood, so I know how amazing the studio, the workouts and the staff can be. My last few encounters with their staff members have been kinda average. I think this is an unfortunate example of how a business can outgrow that fun and friendly culture that made it unique. For the amount of money paid for these classes I think that I deserve something much better than average. read more

I've been coming to this location for 3 weeks for the intermediate barre class with Donna. Donna is awesome and I love her energy. She makes the class fun and she makes you work! Ooooh I feel the burn every class. The barre class and bounce class is upstairs, cycle class is downstairs. They also sell clothes here and have bathrooms and a water station where you can get a cup of water or fill up a bottle. The only negative part about this studio is the parking. There are a limited amount of spots and mens warehouse is taking up most of the parking spots. Don't park in MW spots or the "security guard" will have your vehicle towed. I usually end up parking in the surrounding neighborhood and walking. read more

I've been going to this studio for the past 18 months for the Body classes. What I love: 1. Lots of knowledgeable instructors. My favorites for a challenging workout are Chau, Kirby, Natalie, Kathryn, and Cornelia. 2. Classes aren't just open-level. There are intermediate and advanced classes. Sometimes they also have beginner classes. 3. The hand weights go up to 12 lbs, so if your goal is to build some upper-body strength, you can do it here (or you can stick with just the lighter weights). 4. No strict dress code like Pure Barre. My husband likes to wear shorts to class, and that isn't a problem. 5. No cancellation penalty so long as you cancel more than 2 hours before class. 6. Variety. I've been going for 18 months and I rarely get bored. When the weights get too light, I can move up to heavier ones. 7. 50% discount on auto renew if you are a teacher! What I dislike: 1. Not enough parking in the tiny lot (though street parking isn't hard to find). 2. Music is way too loud. Define does give out free ear plugs, but really, why does music need to be above 80 decibels? Only Chau is conscientious about this, probably because she is a physician. 3. Studio 2 is super loud when a rev class is going on in the spin studio below it. 4. Ballet barre is too low for tall people in the main studio. Studio 2 has a high and low barre which works better. 5. Define really should invest in some portable dehumidifiers and run them between class. In the summer, it gets super humid when there are lots of classes going on. One final note: while these classes were initially a good source of both strength and cardio (burning 350-450 calories per class, based on my heart monitor), over time the cardio aspect diminished as I became fitter. I now do separate cardio on my own. read more

Due to an off-putting experience at Define: Tanglewood, I've been apprehensive about trying another Define location ITL. Unfortunately, I had reached my 3-visits-per-month limit at my primary location in sunny, smiling, suburban Sugar Land (ugh, not cool, ClassPass... I'm not counting, why do you have to?!), so I ended up here. I'm happy to say - this location is much bigger and friendlier than its stuck-up sister down the block. Located on the narrow, bustling street of W. Gray, it's easy to miss if you're not careful. Keep an eye out for the big Kroger across the street: this will serve as a landmark, as well as extra parking if you can't squeeze into Define's very restricted lot. Unlike other Define locations that I've been to, this one has two floors: the 1st floor contains changing rooms, restrooms, merchandise, and their Rev room for spin classes. Upstairs, you'll find the rooms for their Body/barre and Mind/yoga classes. Lockers, cubbies, towels, and everything you'll need for class is provided - just bring some water, socks for Body, and spin shoes (or $$ to rent some) for Rev. I tried out Kathryn's Xpress Body (quick 30min) class during my lunch break today and enjoyed it. Kathryn is pretty hands-on and assisted me with any forms if she saw me struggling. Since Define is a chain, you can drop in and out of different locations and still expect mostly the same routines and movements - with a few manageable tweaks. I hate feeling like a n00b whenever I visit a new location, so being able to pick up the routine quickly no matter where I am is pretty sweet. In regards to other classes... I've heard from other Yelpers that the Rev classes get a little TOO cramped for comfort, so be prepared for that. All in all, I felt welcome and comfortable here. The Rev is great spin workout, REALLY REALLY HOT - you have been forewarned. The drawback is the price - $20 for a workout and an additional $3 for shoes. I bought an unlimited pass for new members which is $120 for the first month. Clothes: Make sure you wear bicycling or yoga pants, and not shorts! I made this mistake on laundry day, and it was not pretty. The Downside: They use special shoes that latch onto their spin bikes, which are $3 to rent and $110 to buy! Ugh. read more

I have been going to Define since 2012. I have taken barre classes all over the country since I am a flight attendant. Define is the BEST hands down. All of the instructors are amazing and have their own personalities and playlists. I have become so strong with consistency. The customer service is amazing. The new River Oaks studio is gorgeous and puts me in a good mood just walking in. The owner of Define , Henry is such a nice, humble person! The staff is top notch, knowledgeable and motivating. Define is a place that makes me happy ! They have added a variety of formats since I first started, so there is something for everyone. I love bounce and strength! One of the best workout experiences starting at the entrance with the decor including chandeliers in the studio. The instructors are energetic with upbeat music. I've taken spin classes from numerous studios across the USA and DEFINE is my favorite. It is truly a full body workout with weights and ball. Highly suggest to experience a class. read more

My friend had been going here for a while and really wanted me to come with her. I had reservations at first, but I finally went and was glad that I did. I really enjoyed the class, there were only women and was definitely a workout, but I was able to (mostly) keep up. When all was said and done, I was surprised at how much I ended up working out my butt. The location is great, there was plenty of parking, and the facility was very nice. read more

I started Define last September and never looked back. I credit Define for helping me physically and mentally. First the physical - I LOVE cardio but quickly become bored with any type of weight training. I know that I need a strength training workout that I LOVE in order to never quit. A FUN and CHALLENGING full body workout using a mix of light weights and body weight to strengthen muscles. My whole body (especially my behind) has tightened up. I still have work to do and I look forward to seeing more results with this method. There are many instructors and they mix up their workout every week so even if you stay with only one instructor you are getting a different workout every time. Plus, all the instructors are all great and welcoming and always available for questions. At the end of class you complete a series of stretches, take three deep breaths and as Hank (the owner) says to rejuvenate, become strong for ourselves and for those around us, which brings me to the Mind portion. Define gave me a fun, challenging yet refreshing class to look forward to every week during a difficult time. As my body became stronger through the tough workouts - I also felt my mind become stronger and my endurance increase. The studio itself has a relaxed refreshing feel and is well-run. Today was my very first class at define body, I went to the River Oaks location for the basic body class which is the perfect introductory class. Anne was the instructor and she was really friendly, professional and helpful. I've taken classes at other places like my gym and found that I didn't get the personal help I needed and the classes where always way to big for me to see what the instructor was teaching us...this however was thankfully not the case at Define Body, the class was small 10-15 tops. The instructor was really good at helping with posture and form, she always was there to help you if you weren't doing a pose/stretch right. Which I really found so helpful, and she was nice and didn't make you feel like you wernt doing things good enough. The class is 60mins long, which even though it was intense it seemed to fly by. I had fun, but still got the workout I needed. A single class is $20, I recommend downloading the Define Body app and booking a class near you, they have 4 locations. I'm definitely going to become a member! read more

I typically go to define in Austin, and I was really excited to see they had studios in Houston too. Define will definitely be my studio to frequent while I'm home from school. I went to the all levels class both yesterday and this morning, and thoroughly enjoyed both. It was also nice that the classes were slightly different from one another - the instructors were both very helpful and welcoming! The boutique style of the studio is super cute and makes working out a bit more enjoyable. My only complaint is the parking, if you go at time when there is more than one class going on (mornings), all of the spots in the lot are likely to be full. The studio was very helpful when I called to ask about other parking options, so I'd suggest doing the same if you can't find a spot! read more

The first day there I signed in with Ashley, she was very sweet and explained to me a little about the place and how to work the lockers. The ambiance of the place was lovely, love their decor. It turns out she was my instructor. She called me the next day to follow up and to see how i enjoyed the class, and was open to answer any questions I had too. Very sweet!!! The workout was challenging, but i loved it! The jiggly legs after, it was definitely a full body work out. I really enjoyed all the teachers. If you speak up about your trouble ares you want to target they will help you. There's personal attention and they correct your positions if you're not doing the work out correctly. I HATE working out... yes, I have done Bikrum Yoga ( I loved that), yes I have worked with trainers, yes I have done the cardio thing, the walking thing... I try and try to find something that I enjoy. Define Body IS what I truly enjoy! Hank is awesome! He is inspirational and so passionate about his vision. I am not in the best shape since I travel for a living but health and well being are important to me... so when I am in town I try to attend 3-4x a week and cry when I can't! My energy is better, my shape is more defined and I am so much stronger than I have been in years. Yes, it is pricey, but well worth it. All the teachers are professional and patient. The facilities are clean and organized. Go try it! You will not be disappointed! read more

So I love Define, I've taken Rev (spinning) classes at all of their studios around town for a few years. But this studio...I can't take it! Like others have mentioned the heat/lack of AC/ no fans is brutal! I've been to 2 classes in the last couple weeks and 1 was decent bc the fans got turned on but the one I took Monday was unbearable! My legs weren't burning or moving as fast as they could because I was just too hot! I loved the overall vibe of the class, the instructor, etc but the heat is a deal breaker for me and I won't return to this studio! read more
