I'm so happy I stopped by Perla Bridal with my mom and sister in law to find my perfect dress. It…read morewas my first time trying dresses on and Kaitlyn was so helpful with the entire process. When we arrived there was a cute little sign with my name welcoming us. They also made sure to close the shop so it was just us, it made the experience more intimate. I didn't have any clue what type of dress fit my body/style so she used her expertise to pull ten different options. We ended up narrowing it down by talking through the things we liked and disliked about every dress. Eventually I tried on the one, but I wasn't 100% certain that it was at the time. Kaitlyn wasn't pushy about selling a dress but supported my decision to walk away that day. I came back a few weeks later and ended up purchasing it and having her measure me for the correct sizing. I was a little hesitant as I was on the cusp for a small/medium but she promised me it was going to be the right fit with little alterations. I was able to order the dress with rush delivery and it was delivered within 3 months as she had advised. And when it arrived it fit perfectly. My experience here was really unique and made me feel special which is what I think every bride needs since it's such a stressful party of getting married.

Long post. Worth the read. Biggest disappointment was the unexpected fees I was charged when my…read moreitem was ready to pick up. Pick Up: I was notified via text that my garment arrived within the arrival month originally estimated at the time of purchase. In the same message, I was also notified that I was now required to pay and additional "tariff fee". I replied that there was no mention of this potential fee at the time of purchase and that there was no clause in the contract that an additional fee may apply or be added later. I received an indirect response from the owner informing me the fee was fair because they are covering some of the tariff cost and that I can pay my original amount due, but they will not release the garment to until ALL fees are paid, including this new "tariff fee". The owner referred to the contract line, "All accounts must be paid in full before garments may be removed from the store." Like I said, no mention in the contract or notification in the 6 months that passed since I placed my order that the store can/would add additional fees. I called the fee a hidden fee, but the owner stated it was government imposed. In my opinion if you do not inform your client that you are charging them until the client is receiving the item, it is an undisclosed fee. The contract does say that the item must be picked up in 4 weeks; so, I did pay the dues to pick up my garment not knowing if the shop would hold rights to my item if not picked up in 4 weeks. Note: From my research other shops have provided written notice of tariff fees to the client prior to the item being available for pick up or it is listed in the contract that potential import fees may occur. Appointment: I was referred to this shop through a designer's website. I was looking for a specific dress, and the site said this shop had it. When I made my appointment request, I specifically mentioned the dress I was looking for. The shop had to reschedule my appointment but offered a 10% inconvenience discount which was honored at checkout. However, the stylist was not ready for me when I arrived. I didn't mind. The stylist had not read my appointment notes. The dress was not available at the store- it wasn't at any of their other locations. They gave me the option to order it from the designer to try it on if I paid the cost of shipping. I declined but decided to try on dresses since I was there already. The stylist had no regard for my budget. I ended up finding a skirt I liked, and the stylist went to draw up the contract. I was by myself in the front of the store and a drunk man walked in and started checking himself out in the mirror. In the wedding dress I was wearing, I picked up my things and walked to the back of the store. The man followed. The stylist asked if she could help him. He looked me up and down and then asked the stylist for a hug. She hugged him. After a couple seconds I pulled the stylist away from him and told him needed to leave. Fortunately, he did. I do not fault the shop for this incident but after that I felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave myself and felt like I was pressured into completing the purchase. The shop informed me that they have a policy now that the front door is to be locked while they are seeing a client.

The Wedding Seamstress - This dress was 3 sizes too big. Also had some holes that needed mending and zipper issues. Look at how fabulous it looked!

My dress was heavily beaded and required significant work, including being taken in, hemmed, and a bustle for my first dance. The team handled it all with incredible skill and professionalism. The process was seamless and efficient. During my first visit, I tried on the dress, received a clear pricing estimate, and paid in full to drop it off. They immediately started working on the bustle so they could handle the hemming and final bustling in the next appointment. They even used a body scanner to get my exact measurements, which speaks to their precision and modern approach. I only needed three visits total, with the final one being just for pickup. This efficiency was a huge relief during the busy wedding planning process. Their professionalism and willingness to answer all my questions made me feel confident and at ease. If you're looking for a reliable and expert seamstress for your wedding dress, I highly recommend them.

They also added a large bow in the back which looked great. I went for 3 fittings over the course of a 6 months, so they could make sure the dress looked good as we got closer to wedding day. I thought they did a fabulous job with the alterations but communication between appointments was a little spotty. Twice, I was given instructions to communicate via text (I assume with the owner) but no one replied and I had to follow up days later. Not the worst, but definitely frustrating when you have a wedding to-do list a million miles long. Back to the positives - they gave very great instructions on how to bustle. On final fitting day, I brought a bridesmaid and a seamstress walked her through how to bustle. The bustle was complicated since I had a large dress, so the demonstration was wonderful. They also provided written in instructions in case we forgot. Day of the wedding- my dress was bustled without a hitch! I am so thankful for their professionalism in that regard. I would choose the Wedding Seamstress again for professional alterations.

After 5+ months of searching for a dress I made a last minute appointment at Brilliant Bridal in…read moreDenver and I'm so glad I did! I finally found my dress and overall it was a lovely experience. The store manger, Roshelle, was **super** knowledgeable about tailoring options and patiently answered all of my questions when I came back the next day after taking the night to sleep on it. I live in Minneapolis & they had the dress cleaned and shipped to me so I wouldn't have to bring it back on the plane. Overall had such a great experience and would highly recommend BB Denver!

Despite a miscommunication regarding the start time of my appointment that was entirely my fault,…read morethey still managed to keep my appointment, even if we had less time than we would have if I had been there on time. Before we got started, my consultant, Adriana, asked me what style I was looking for, what I thought I'd feel comfortable in, and some personal details regarding wedding theme, colors, hobbies. She immediately was able to lead me to the type of dress I was looking for and I picked a few to try on. The second dress, a blush-toned A-line with a floral pattern was the immediate favorite from my mom and bridesmaids and Adriana assured me that alterations could be made to add off-the-shoulder sleeves, which was something I loved on another dress, but that the one I chose didn't have. She recommended a few shops that work closely with the boutique to make alterations. Though we were a little pressed for time, we made efficient use of that time and I didn't feel rushed at all. I tried on 4 of the 5 dresses that we picked out and as someone who hates standing in front of a mirror to try on clothes, I did not feel any of that self-consciousness when trying on the dresses. I felt heard, valued, comfortable, and myself since some of the dresses felt more elegant, more princess-y, or more proper and the one I decided on was definitely "me". They have payment plans, which is great for a bride on a budget and the price was so reasonable, which is one of the reasons I picked them. Adriana also made the time to make my fiancè and me little trinkets for our champagne glasses with charms that included our initials, our wedding colors, and a dog and mountains, which was such a considerate touch to an already lovely experience. I would recommend this place highly for the price, the variety, the experience, the consideration (especially if you hate clothes shopping, as I do), and the fact that I didn't feel pressured to make a decision. Thank you so much to Adriana for all of your advice, recommendations, kindness, and help.
