Before you do any "real shopping" you should absolutely book the preview appointment at Platinum Bridal!! The entire purpose is to try on the 4 different silhouettes (ball gown, a-line, fit and flair and sheath) to start to narrow down which silhouette you like best.. they strip away all the sales tactics and just get down to each detail that you do and don't like about each dress to try and get you closer to an idea of what you will want! I tried on 6 dresses and one of them made my mom cry and have that special "mom moment".. we didn't buy at this quick appointment and had I not found my dress at my next appt in Fort Collins, I would've come back for a follow up appt.. Tori and her team were absolutely amazing, made the experience so comfortable and inviting, and educated me so much, which really helped me find my dress later that day! The no pressure feel of the preview appointment really felt perfect for my first time trying on a wedding dress, and was definitely worth the $25 for their time! They made me feel beautiful, special, and like a bride should feel!

I had a wonderful wedding dress experience here! The shop is beautiful and Tori and Monica are so friendly and attentive. I felt like they let me try on every dress in the store until I found my dream gown and never made me feel rushed. After my first alterations appointment I was a little nervous about how the dress would turn out (we had to order up a few sizes from the sample I originally tried on if I wanted to be able to walk or sit down) and Monica talked me off the ledge and helped communicate my vision to the seamstress. It turned out perfectly and I felt gorgeous on my wedding day! Dress is from the Ella Rosa Collection from Kenneth Winston.

I am so impressed with this place! They make you feel like the only person in the room when you walk in and treat everyone with you with such kindness and respect. Prior to covid, these owners would travel to every bridal show to see the dresses (not just order them online), and once they were in the shop, the owners personally try on every dress so you know what it is supposed to look like and feel like. Wow! All of my bridesmaids and mothers left feeling so educated, wishing they had the same experience when they went dress shopping. They also have an alterations shop next store and can hold onto your dress if convenient. Prices are very reasonable and they have a wide variety. It's not just about the dress, it's about the experience, and they make it worth it!

Wow wow wow, I cannot speak highly enough of platinum bridal. I was extremely nervous about the entire process and my consultant Tori instantly made me feel at ease. She was very thorough in initial consultation and together we pulled some beautiful gowns to try. The bridal room is beautiful and comfortable. I never felt pressured or rushed. Once I finally "said yes to the dress", we went to the vail room which was an amazing space with a massive mirror wall on one side and a full window wall on the other. The natural light really made the details on my dress pop! I can't wait to come back. THANK YOU TORI!!! (Also thank you so much to the other consultant who graciously jumped our car. Truly full service )

The bride and her fabulous consultant!

She was very responsive to texts and communication. Cons: When I first met with her, I told her to save the extra fabric for me to keep. When I requested the fabric, she informed me that she didn't have it. No apology, no explanation, simply informed me. During our fittings, she would agree to alternations that didn't end up happening. I wasn't ultimately happy with how the bodice or the straps fit, but I didn't leave myself enough time to find someone else (that's on me). She sewed a pin into the hem of the dress, which ended up hurting one of my bridesmaids.

I wish I could say that I had a positive experience, but I do feel compelled to caution other brides against using Seams to B. She had my dress for 4 months and then I requested to take it back after I could no longer trust her. This was my honest experience. The vibes were off from the beginning. Penny is very quiet - she will not be your hype woman or ask you any questions about how you are feeling in the dress as she's making changes. For fittings, she comes to your house after she's done some alterations and just stands awkwardly in the corner while you're left to your own devices. Communication about each stage of the process was severely lacking for me. Oftentimes she would verbally list off what she would do before the next fitting and then show up next time without having done what she had promised. The first few fittings I let it slide - I'd never done this before and certainly altering a wedding dress is a lot of work. Then the situation worsened. The red flags became too much to ignore when she would ask me at multiple fittings, "when are you getting married again?". It started to become very clear that Penny is not "on top of it" as a business owner in this industry should be and doesn't take any notes. She started forgetting things I had asked for with the dress - the color of the lining she sewed in was wrong (nude when I said I wanted white), the size of the cups were too big (she had put the original ones in that came with the dress when I told her I needed A cups), etc. I decided it was the last straw when I sent her an inspiration picture of how I wanted the bodice to fit me because after FIVE fittings it still wasn't right, and she basically said the dress was already fitting that way and that there wasn't really anything she could do. Considering that my breasts were drowning in too-big cups and that there was too much fabric in the bust in general, including straps that were falling down all the time, this was very discouraging. I lost all confidence in how I felt in my dress that day. Having now taken my dress to a different seamstress, I am feeling regret that I wasted so much time and money using Seams to B, as I will have to pay for them to re-do some of the work that was done poorly. On the bright side, I was reassured that this dress CAN be made to fit me in the way that I want, which is how all brides should be supported and lifted up during their alterations.

I waited to write this review because I had such amazing experiences with everyone we used except Lauren Gibbs and this was hard to write. I wouldn't give Lauren one star if I had the choice. Lauren was nice and communicated well at first when I was searching for a hair/makeup. She was a bit more reasonably priced considering the going rate and I decided to go with her. Unfortunately, as it got closer to my wedding I emailed her more than once and it took her a very long time to respond. When she finally did we talked about how she was going to need more hands then anticipated because we couldn't get into the venue until later in the day. I thought we had settled on what was needed but as the weeks got closer I contacted her again and she ghosted me. I sent several emails directly through her link with NO response at all. I finally reached her by phone. We talked briefly and I told her I understood how busy she was. We were supposed to reconnect via email later that day but it was a days later. I tried to confirm what we discussed but she responded as if we had never talked about her need for an extra set of hands. I reminded her of our previous discussions and I couldn't afford to pay more when we were already set to go. She felt doing me. I was thankful for the understanding although, there was a communication break down on her part. It was only weeks away from my wedding but I had a gut feeling that sent me on a search for a new stylist. However, being so late in the game there really wasn't much availability and I didn't have the energy to keep searching. Fast forward my wedding day and I was already stressed about the time crunch and the morning didn't go smoothly and I ended up being 20 minutes late...it was my bad because I lost the 20 minutes for my hair and makeup. As I got to the room I was very apologetic for being late and shouted up the stairs "sorry, are you going to kill me?" Trying to make light of it as well as apologizing for my tardiness. The first thing out of her mouth in a very nasty tone was "well I'm going to charge you!!" The way I see it if she was desent human with good customer service she would have helped to relieve some stress rather than add to the stress. That didn't happen at all! I was frustrated with her approach and she was upset that I was late to the service I paid for. She told me I disrespected her on my wedding daydisrespected her. Now mind you I did apologize for being late. We continued to have a heated discussion which included her assistant chiming in while excusing Lauren's behavior. That's when my family walked into a disaster. My sister and mom asked her numerous times to see if we could please make this work. My mom even offered to skip hers ALL together to get everyone else done and not cause stress for Lauren. My mom's tone was very apologetic although she did nothing wrong. Lauren wasn't having it and wasn't listening. She was caught up on making it about herself and how she couldn't work in these conditions. I told her more than once she could leave but everyone pleaded with her to stay. She finally left as more heated words were exchanged. She caused a great deal of stress and disappointment. However, all said and done we managed beautifully without her. After my wedding I contacted her to get my money back knowing I lost the deposit. She responded very shortly with how this will be her last communication and I could contact her through a lawyer. I simply reminded her that she provided NO service and needed to send my payment back but I decided to stop reaching out so I was no longer consumed by the thought of her. I contacted my bank to dispute the charge. It is sad to put these words down about someone and their business but I'd hate to see anyone go through what I did on their very special day

She had raved about her experience then and I was excited to take my own dress here. They even scheduled an on-site consultation at Little White Dress, where I assumed I'd get a quote. Instead, before any work began, Donna Beth required a $1200 payment upfront via Zelle. She presented herself as "the best in the business," so I went ahead with it, trusting the recommendation. I only saw Donna Beth once, during that initial consultation at Little White Dress. After paying, all my subsequent check-up fittings took place at her studio in Cherry Creek, where she wasn't present. Instead, I was handed off to her assistants. This was disappointing, especially since my alterations were relatively simple--just taking in the dress and shortening it slightly. When it came time to pick up the dress, none of the changes had been done correctly. With only three days until I was scheduled to leave for my destination wedding in Cabo, my dress was still too long and about an inch too big in the waist. After they reassured me they'd work overnight, I returned the next day, but the fit was still off. I ended up spending three hours in her shop while her assistants & seamstress kept running the dress back & forth to the back making rushed adjustments. The experience was stressful and disheartening. At one point, I was even calling other alteration specialists for help out of sheer frustration. It was clear Donna Beth was more focused on an upcoming runway show than on her customers. In the end, my dress was wearable, and my wedding in Cabo was beautiful, but my experience with Donna Beth Creations was the only part of my wedding process that brought me to tears. I would not recommend this vendor to future brides.

*Please also see attached photos*…read more After attempting to resolve this matter privately with Accurate Alterations without success, I'm sharing my experience publicly. On December 12, I brought seven garments to Accurate Alterations for alterations and paid in total $113. When the items were returned, while some garments were done well, I was dissatisfied with the results on several pieces. Specifically, in my opinion: -- One pair of jeans had an uneven hem and did not sit straight when worn. -- One pair of joggers no longer had the original taper, and the cuffs appeared inconsistently stitched. Additionally, they no longer feel like they fit like joggers but skinny pants instead. -- Another pair of joggers had similar issues but also interior stitching removed that was not restored. -- One pair of dress pants had an uneven hem and puckering at the bottom, and the original taper was not maintained. These garments were new and unworn prior to the alterations. Because of the nature of the work already done and my prior experience, further alterations would not be possible without significantly shortening the pants. I have reached out to Accurate Alterations multiple times since January 12th to discuss a resolution but we have yet to reach one that is mutually satisfactory. I'm seeking advice on what would be considered reasonable next steps. As I see it, I have a few options. In good faith I could try one more time to have them reexamine the work and try to fix it or I can seek reimbursement. Reimbursement could be a refund of alteration costs ($113), that amount plus a complete (~$100) replacement cost, or another fair solution. This post reflects my personal experience and opinion only. - Please advise.

And I am very certain that in years to come when we relive our wedding day, we will still agree that hiring Jolene was the best decision we've made. My husband and I had particular and grand visions on how we wanted our wedding reception to be like. We had specific ideas on the overall look we wanted to achieve for the wedding reception. We were so into planning and outlining all the details of the wedding and that included getting taffeta pintuck table overlays, charger plates, framed table names, etc, that we didn't think much of who was going to execute all our grand ideas for us on the day itself. The restaurant manager had to run the restaurant and and supervise the kitchen on the day itself, and he wasn't able to see to all our specific details on the decor. We were very fortunate to have good friends who offered to help us set up, but at the same time we wanted all of them to enjoy themselves fully and not to have to work on our wedding day. That was when we realized the best thing to do was to hire a Day-of-Coordinator. In came Jolene who was ever so responsive to my emails. We would go back and forth via email up to five times a day, even on a Sunday. That was when I knew that Jolene was the one we should hire. If she could respond to my emails multiple times on a Sunday, I knew that she would be reliably there for us throughout the days leading up to our wedding, and most importantly, on our wedding day itself. We had a meeting with our reception restaurant manager, Jolene, and my husband and I. Jolene brought up questions that we didn't think about and made sure we covered everything. Jolene also took notes at our meeting and very next early morning she sent me a followup email listing the still-to-be completed tasks that my husband and I had to work on leading up to the wedding day. On the wedding day, my husband and I had peace of mind and we were able to enjoy and absorb every moment of our hard work in planning the wedding. We told Jolene how we envisioned specific details to be like on our wedding, and she carried them out for us perfectly. Not only was she there to execute our day-of vision, but she also acted as a point of reference for our bridal party and guests. My dad wanted a podium for his speech and upon arrival he saw that there was no podium. I asked Jolene if she could put one out for us. And the next time I turned around, she was there setting up the podium. Jolene also made sure that there was a smooth transition between events at the reception. After the reception, we received many compliments from our guests on how well organized everything was and my husband and I have Jolene to thank for this. Do yourself a favor and get Jolene as your Day-of-Coordinator. If you're getting married and have put so much hard work into wedding planning like my husband and I did, you should reward yourself by leaving the day-of execution to a true professional like Jolene. She has been there for us from the time we initiated contact and throughout the days leading up to the wedding and most importantly on the wedding day itself. I appreciate all her kind words to us throughout and alleviating our worries of anything that is wedding-related. Thank you so much Jolene!

Jolene's help through the entire planning process was simply invaluable -- from design ideas and scheduling event flow, to the minutia that my wife and I didn't even think of. On our wedding day, Jolene showed up early at the venue and made sure that all the "moving parts" where in sync and on time. Throughout the wedding day itself, she kept us on schedule with our timeline and led the day to a resounding success. In hindsight, my wife and I concluded that we could not have pulled off our "from scratch" wedding without her planning assistance, design ideas, and coordinated-execution on our wedding day. We highly recommend Jolene for event planning, design, and day-of coordination.
