They truly treat every child like family, and it shows in everything they do. Our children have learned so much during their time here, including a second language. Every day they came home excited to tell us what they learned, and we've seen tremendous growth in their numbers, ABCs, communication, and overall confidence. Leaving is bittersweet as our son heads off to kindergarten, but we're so grateful for the strong foundation Rising Stars has given him. Knowing he was in a safe, nurturing, and encouraging environment gave us so much peace of mind. If you're looking for a daycare where your child will be genuinely loved, supported, and prepared for the future, we wholeheartedly recommend Rising Stars Daycare. The SMS staff and families have been such a huge and wonderful part of our lives for 8 years. It was hard dropping my older son off for the first time (at 3 months), but when it came time to drop my younger son off for the first time (also at 3 months), I knew he was going to be in such great hands, it really was like leaving him with family! I also believe that my older son's smooth transition into kinder was thanks to the 'academic' and social learning he experienced at SMS.

Dropping your child off at daycare can be scary at any age but when they are so little it's even harder. You just have to hope you can trust the people taking care of them. Diane and Karen went above and beyond in that manner. So much so that my son would often reach for them at drop off and even when I came to pick him up he'd reach back for them. They are the best!

My husband and I decided to interview Happy Hearts back in February based on the 5 star review we…read morefound here on Yelp. We thought the same things about the facility as the reviewer did and decided to enroll our baby. We kept in contact with the director - letting her know when our son was born and when we would be bringing him in to start his care there. When it was finally time for me to go back to work, we took our 9 week old baby in to Happy Hearts only to find that the director that we interviewed in February - the one with the degree in early childhood development - had SOLD the place a week previous and had failed to mention it. We were stunned, but thought we should give the new director a try while we look for alternate arrangements. After one week at Happy Hearts, my baby caught a virus that turned into viral meningitis. He had to be hospitalized for two days and I had to keep him at home for a week after that. When we called the center to let them know what had happened, the director said "well, kids get sick" and still wanted her money for the week he missed due to the crud he caught at her facility. After my baby recovered from the illness, we brought him back in. I started to notice that wherever the caretakers parked him in the morning was the same exact place he would be when I would come to get him in the afternoon. If they put him in a swing, he would be in that same swing hours later. His mood seemed different too - he's usually a vibrant, alert, happy baby and when he would get home from school, he would be lethargic and cranky. But the final nail was when they failed to change his diaper for an entire day. How do I know? It's simple. I brought him to school in a Pampers diaper, but only had Costco diapers in his bag for the day. When I picked him up SIX HOURS LATER, he was still wearing the Pampers diaper and it was super heavy and full of pee and poop. His poor bottom was red and irritated from being forced to sit in his own waste and he was in a horrible cranky mood. The worst part? They LIED about it on the infant log - said they changed his diaper three times that day. Even worse than that - the usual caretakers weren't there that day - instead, the director herself and an assistant were in charge of the babies - so, my son was neglected on the director's watch. So amazingly unacceptable. Thankfully, we've found him a better place to go, so, he will no longer have to suffer at Happy Hearts.
