The worst calzone you will ever have
    Des D.

No clue how this place is still in business. It's unfortunate how badly run this restaurant is. Every dish I've had here is underwhelming and small. I figured as they got more established the food would get better but it does not. The worst experience was most recently when we ordered a standard calzone. Their calzone is not normal at all. It had thin slices of potato that looked and felt like the texture of a raw onion and low grade meat. There was barely any cheese and zero ricotta in this calzone. Not only that but I actually laughed when I saw it because the entire calzone was burnt - literally black. To my surprise after trying a bite the bottom was severely undercooked and doughy. Just so odd. FYI carbonara is supposed to be their staple but I was not a fan. Super bland and underwhelming but I'd definitely order that over the calzone any day!! I will not be returning.

If you are looking for amazing food, friendly staff and and adorable setting this is your place! It's BYOB if you are feeling something that's not on their menu. But the food it's made with love . I'm talking grandma style from Italy, but Instead of a grandma the master cook is Marco. The fresh ingredients recreate home-cooking on a master level. You can't go wrong with anything you order but we had the bruschetta, caprese, cannelloni, and arugula pizza (special). This place is a must visit, seriously your taste buds will thank you!

Relatively new BYOB restaurant that is a nice addition to Wethersfield that isn't a chain restaurant although Wethersfield already has a pretty good selection of locally owned italian restaurants. Went as a group of 5 on a Wednesday night for 5:30 - couldn't find a single spot in the parking lot behind the restaurant and had to walk from another business on the Silas Deane Highway in the rain to get there -plan accordingly and try and carpool to make your life easier. If you come to done when the vet clinic is closed, it seems they may not mind if you park there but they were still open when we arrived for dinner so we didn't want to use their lot without permission. Once seated, started with the antipasto platter and 2 suppli (risotto balls -not sure why they aren't called arancini) . The suppli are large egg shaped and were able to be shared among 5 of us - individual per person might be too large depending on what you plan on ordering for your dinner. For dinner, we had the sora my way pizza and the pizza with the pepper flakes and also ordered a chicken parm entree to share just so we could all try multiple things on the menu. Thought the pizzas were pretty good - crust was a little chewy in a good way. Next time would try either pepperoni or meatball as the classics to compare to other restaurants. Thought the chicken Parmesan was a little salty for me but would likely try in again since things vary by day by chef and maybe that one was just a little heavy handed. Atmosphere - clean and relatively contemporary - thought the temperature was a little chilly and one of my friends left her coat on the entire time so plan accordingly. Because there was a party there before we got there, our party of 5 had to be seated at a circle table intended for 4. It was fine for seating and conversation but we had to put some things on the floor (wine bottles, etc ) because once the pizza came, we didn't have enough room for everything. Be flexible and it won't matter-nobody seemed to mind. All that food and only $ 20 per person out the door including over a 20% tip for the server - love BYOB and sharing with friends - it's fun !

I've tried Sora My Way a few times now, and I really want to like them, but they just mess up on too much for me to give them more than two stars. The chicken parm is good and I enjoy the homemade side of pasta. There's a generous amount of sauce and it tastes great. Unfortunately, this is where the positive points end. We tried the Sora Calzone and it is actually just horrible. I've always said "you can never screw up a calzone," but somehow they did. The calzone is half empty inside, burnt on top, undercooked on the bottom, and the filling of potato, sauce, and meat is just strange. Since this is the only calzone on their menu, I really thought this was just a normal cheese calzone, but I should have read the description more closely because it is anything bought a normal calzone. It's also strange that they don't even have a regular cheese calzone on the menu, this is it. The carbonara is okay, but I've had much better. Since I do like the sauce and the pasta, they have potential to be much better, which is why I went back a few times since they opened.

Fried mozz... the flavor of the cheese was good but the pieces were over fried so it was kinda hard and tasted somewhat burnt 2. Risotto balls... those were great, just needed a lil more sauce. I would definitely order this again. 3. Spicy Calamari... There was an unpleasant odor as soon as they came out. Tasted the actual Calamari and it was delicious but the dish was ruined with all the crap that was added. The yucky slaw and the sauce/ drizzle were unnecessary and made the dish inedible. Wish they left it off or put it in the side so we could have enjoyed the Calamari itself. 4. Sweet Potato Ravioli... the actual ravioli was good. Loved the filling. But this dish was ruined by a flavorless sauce. It tasted like cream mixed with butter. That sauce should be left off. Im sure the server already knew we didnt really enjoy it bcuz he didnt even question why food was left and we didnt want to take any of it to go... Really planned to order more from the happy hour menu but after those last 2 disappointing apps, I changed my mind...

Ambience doesnt count, its still a takeout place. But the rest of that review stated that other than an 'oops' on the pizza toppings, everything else was...ok. This time? Total flop. Tried some different stuff this time. The philly cheesesteak grinder was the most edible, but dry, with stuff on one half, but only partially on the other half. The roll was the best part, something I mentioned in my previous review. The cheese ravioli? Guess we would call that a 'wtf'. The frozen ravioli I make myself ,with a jar of Francesco Rinalde in a pinch, embarrasses this. Isn't there supposed to be cheese in cheese ravioli? These things were strangely missing the ricotta. Also grabbed a dry eggplant florentine with a nice bland sauce. I don't recall the sauce here being... underwhelming, but this time... yah...underwhelming works. The Italian grandma with the big wooden spoon has left the building. Prices are still low in comparison to say, Vito's down the road, but keeping your prices down by buying cheap ingredients isn't the way to do it. Perhaps the owners should take any money they are saving on ravioli's and buy a salt and pepper shaker to start, might help. Am I presuming the almost five stars is based on the Yelp reviews of yore? I gave em a four last time!! Try again folks.

I wanted to give them a second chance. Sometimes businesses have bad days and I don't like to judge based off of one experience unless it's super bad. Well, this time was worse. Ordered the chopped salad. All you could taste was dressing and it was soggy and swimming. Barely any meat. Then the pizza came. One half had pepperoni and hot honey and the other had meatball and ricotta. The pepperoni side was literally disgusting. Like the salad, it was completely drenched in hot honey and sickly sweet. It was pooling on my plate. You couldn't taste the sauce, cheese, and toppings. Speaking of the sauce, there was little to none, had no flavor, and it was canned. I know canned sauce when I taste it. This was especially shocking because Sally's is known for their sauce. I'm very disappointed because I usually love the sauce at Sally's l, but this wasn't it. And then there's another problem: the pizza came out burnt and cold. New Haven style is slightly charred, not BURNT. It wasn't just the crust; it was also the undercarriage. See the photos I attached. It also took 50 minutes from the time our order was placed to get our one pizza when the restaurant wasn't even at half occupancy. Service was terrible!! We weren't even offered red pepper or parm with our pizza and weren't asked if we wanted dessert. Not like we wanted to stay after that mess, but it would've been nice to be asked. Our server was never near our table and it took a long time to get the things we wanted. We felt completely ignored all night. I feel like this is totally understandable on a busy night, but the place wasn't packed by any means and there were only a few tables occupied. We had to wait an extra 20 minutes after we finished our pizza before our server came around again and just handed us the check and walked away without a word. Not coming back.
