My frustration was with how the front desk attendant, Zoe, handled it. I was told I had to pay the Brazilian price even though I had booked and communicated that I wanted a Bikini Full. When I questioned this, Zoe brought Jazlyn to the front to discuss what happened in front of several other customers. Given the personal nature of the service, this made me extremely uncomfortable and felt unnecessary. I would have appreciated some acknowledgment of the booking/miscommunication issue and a private, professional attempt to resolve it. Instead, I left feeling embarrassed and frustrated over how the situation was handled. I hope management uses this as an opportunity to provide additional training on customer service, discretion, and de-escalation.

My appointment was with Riley, who I understand is also the manager, which made my experience even more disappointing. There was no consultation whatsoever before she started. Riley never asked how I normally wear my brows, what shape I wanted, or whether I wanted my brow hairs trimmed. My brows were naturally full with longer hairs, and she trimmed them extremely short and tweezed them, completely changing the look of my eyebrows. If she had simply asked me beforehand, I would have made it very clear that I wanted to keep my brows full and did not want the hairs cut this short. The service is listed as approximately 20 minutes, but I was in the chair for about 8 minutes. The entire appointment felt rushed, especially for a first-time client. I left extremely disappointed, and now I have to wait for my eyebrows to grow back. For a first-time client, I believe there should have been a consultation before making such a noticeable change to my brows--especially when the person providing the service is also the manager. Sadly, this was not the experience I expected after reading the reviews, and I would not return for eyebrow services.

I've been coming here for almost 3 years and drive almost an hour from LA just to get my nails at this salon because how great it USED to be. After their remodel, this salon's services and nail techs have gone down immensely and will no longer be commuting out there because it is no longer worth it. Tim was always my nail tech and one day right after their remodel, they let me know he no longer works for them for personal reasons. I was devastated. He was kind, very attentive to detail, patient and had the best work. Nathan was also a great nail tech but I also was told he had also left and no longer works there. They were the only 2 techs whose work I really liked and their prices were affordable anywhere from $60-90 for hard gel nails with design, chrome, 3D gel etc etc. They sat me with this new girl to do my hard gel but she gave no attention to detail and left my nails with large bubbles, very thick gel and overall could not get the shape I wanted correctly. I wasn't too happy but still decided to come back one more time because of how much I liked the salon. I asked for hard gel again and they sat me with this other new lady who said she can do the design but will charge me $120 to do my designs. EXCUSE ME $120?? This lady spent almost an hour just trying to add my designs and kept redoing every single nail of mine over and over. She was struggling to work with 3D gel even though she said she was able to do the design. On top of that, all my Hard gel with Tim would last me up to a month WITHOUT any breaking. This lady only gave me 2 thin coats of hard gel and the next day I had 1 nail broken and by the end of the week, 4 of my nails were cracking on the side. To have me pay $120 just for my nails to break within the same week with Hard gel was my breaking point. As much as I loved this place, ever since Tim and Nathan left, there is no reason for me to come back anymore. Their new nail techs need much more improvement in their work and should not charge high prices if it doesn't reflect what they give. read more

A friend recommended I go to SoQ nails a little over 2 years ago and I've been seeing Mimi for gel x tips ever since! I'm a college student a few hours away but my nails will usually last for a month and then I'll make the trip home to see her because my nails always end up looking fantastic. Mimi does an amazing job shaping my nails and the art she has done always blows me away! When I'm back up at school I get so compliments on the different sets she's done. I've also got some amazing pedicures done by the different artists in the salon. Would highly recommend her or anyone else in the shop! read more

Love this place! My only set back, that's quite gross to be honest, is there they don't clean your nails prior to applying acrylics. If you have any smut, dirt, anything under your nails, they will tell you "sorry we don't clean them." Every nail place I have ever been to makes sure they clean and cut your nails prior to adding the acrylic so it's sanitary. Then the nail tech made ME clean my own nails and cut them. I came here to have my nails done, not to do them myself. Regardless, their quality is great and the nails last for so long! read more

I've been going to Mimi for years for my Gel X French tips and she is simply the best in the valley! She nails the design and keeps my nails looking perfect for weeks. Lisa is also fantastic with my white gel pedicure. She always takes her time and ensures every detail is perfect, from the shape to the polish.
