This is my go to spot for nails. They do fantastic gel manicures... they last a week longer than when I get them done at other places. Plus it's a family run shop. You will find them all to be very polite and considerate. The salon is very clean. They have a nice choice of colors if you want to do something other than standards. All of the workers are really friendly and never hesitate to make conversation. I have been going to Sophia's nails for years and was extremely disappointed the last time I went it for my manicure and pedicure. The nail technician who spoke little English did everything I told her NOT to do. I wanted my long nails filed in a round shape not square. She filed my nails square and so short it could not be fixed. I guess I should've paid attention when she did the first couple of nails, so my bad! I ended up with short, stubby nails. I could have done that myself at home with a nail clipper! There was a 15 second massage (yes, I timed it) on my arms. The polish job was okay, but she couldn't paint the edges as it was filed too short. The pedicure buffing/scrubbing lasted less than 10 seconds and I have a lot of callouses on my feet. She didn't understand me when I asked that she needed to do more, but no one was nearby to "translate" so I gave up. The pedicure massage was another 15 seconds (okay I expect at least 1-2 minutes). My big toes were filed crooked but the paint job was actually good. I know these are the new owners and I hesitate to go back to give them a second chance. The experience was so disappointing I had to voice my feedback in the hopes they improve the service the previous owners had once provided to their loyal customers. read more

Used to go here every now and then for a few years and loved every manicure or set I had done. Until recently though; it seems they've realized I'm a usual and stopped caring when working on my nails. They work as if they're in a hurry, rush your jails, make you wait 30 minutes into an appointment you've made, and yet you still don't leave with the nails you want. I'll need to find another nail salon close by because I've given up on this one. My most recent manicure took about 2 hours long. Horrible horrible experience. I've been to this nail salon about 3 times now, and each experience hasn't been great, but it wasn't the worst and it's very conveniently located for where I live. However this last time I went was the worst experience I've had at a nail salon. The lady totally ruined my nails. I'm so disappointed with the service. I went in for a pedicure and my nails were in good shape, and she completely ruined them. They tried to fill it in with acrylic, which came off literally the day after. She tried to remove shellac polish that I had on previously with a cuticle trimmer. And ended up ruining two of my nails. They ended up charging me $55, and I just want my money back. One lady saw my nails and offered to fix it the next day, but I was headed out of town and couldn't do that. I hated having to travel to an important event with these nails. read more

I came in on a Wednesday around 130 with only about 45 minutes and no appointment but they took me right away. I just needed to get my gel set off for a little break. The lady that was helping me first tried to use another nail to grt under mine but it was pretty diffuclt and painful so she decided to cut them then soak them in acetone for a bit. It took a couple rounds of acetone but finally a she was able to get them! I was going to get a regular manicure but due to my stubborn nails and short time frame, I wasn't able to. I was only charged 10 bucks for this and I'm thankful she took the time. She was super sweet, funny and always checked to see how I was doing. Unfortunately I didn't catch her name :( I recommend this spot for even the little I saw! read more

Ty does a fantastic job with my powdered dipped mani and my natural nails have never been longer or stronger! I went in to have my dip removed and a regular manicure. They didn't soak my dip off. They buffed my nails down some and then popped them off. I wouldn't have minded this except that it hurt and they broke three of my nails. The manicure itself was fine, but within 2 hours it was ruined because of a broken nail they didn't fix. I HIGHLY recommend against this nail salon. A coworker had advised against this place, remarking that the staff are extremely rude and unprofessional. However, I needed a last minute manicure and there aren't many options in West Linn, so I dropped in. One of the nail techs used the same clipping tools on two different women without cleaning them in between. This alone is reason for this shop to lose its license. It was my understanding that shellac is fool-proof, but my nails are a mess. The tech clipped and filed my nails with no concern for my discomfort. I asked her at least three times to be more gentle, which annoyed her and only made her more aggressive. I am stunned that this place exists. If you have the time, do yourself a favor and head to Lake Oswego or Oregon City instead. I can't fathom a worse manicure experience than this. read more

After many years of going here Ive finally had enough as I left in tears. It's the holidays and i scheduled days in advance 4 pedicures at the same time for my family. We arrived at 1 and there was not even 1 employee to work with us- let alone 4. What is even the point of an "appointment" when they aren't upheld. They sat us all in chairs and then asked who wanted to go first- they were going to have one person do our pedicures back to back and didn't even care enough to acknowledge that we scheduled for the same time. Here's the facts with this garbage "salon"- Appointments dont matter as they do not honor them here. The staff lies- they will say 2 min or 15 min/ they are just saying what they think you want to hear. The staff is rude, and the staff speaks little to no English. read more

If you want an enjoyable, complete pedicure that will actually last a couple weeks or more, this is the only place in West Linn I can recommend. We had scheduled an appointment for 5. They had enough people, but did not do all of ours at once. They did 3, while 2 other employees were doing pedicures on 2 other people not in our group. This left the other 2 in our party to just sit there for some time. Let me clarify that the 2 NOT in our party, arrived right after we did, so it's not like they had already started on their pedicures. All of our pedicures felt rushed. The massages on our legs and such were very gentle and rushed feeling. Each portion (sea salt and hot stone) lasted like 30 seconds, max. Read the 5 star reviews and tried them out for a pedicure. Staff was very nice, no problem with just walking in (waited about 2 minutes), good atmosphere. Pretty cheap rates on pedicures as well. I was a little thrown at the end, however. While they seemed to be able to accept credit cards, they so strongly wanted me to pay in cash that they asked me to leave, go to the ATM nearby, and then come back and pay them. It wasn't my preference, but they were really insistent. Not sure about going back here. read more

The salon is beautiful inside but the staff is just not the best at customer service. I was not greeted when coming in I was shouted at as to why I was there after making an appointment 20 minutes prior.
