I knew from the beginning a cap needed to be installed to prevent rain from entering. I also knew he would need to reseal the concrete on the top of the chimney. Mike identified a number of aspects that needed to be corrected. I was pleased with how he addressed those concerns, doing so in a timely manner. I am particularly impressed with the level of excellence/quality Mike strives for and expects of his assistant. Any aspect that Mike questioned, he returned to and completed to his high standard. I was also pleased with Mike and his assistant's attention to cleanliness. The one challenge we experienced was having to reschedule the appointment due to weather and in that there were communication challenges as his business partner, Donna, was out of town. Mike worked outdoors and indoors on two of the coldest days we have experienced. During the job and upon completion Mike not only kept me posted on the status of the job, but sent me photographs of before and after pictures as well as a video explaining what he had done. I am impressed that he not only aspired to enable the unit work to its fullest potential, but desired, and achieved to have a finished product looking far better than when he arrived. Would I use him again? without question! Would I recommend his services to others? I already am. The icing on the cake is his wife and business partner, Donna, whose telephone greeting and personality are winsome, making the financial transaction as smooth as possible. Richard and Noah did a great job inspecting and sweeping the chimney. It had reeked when the sun hit it and when it rained. Noah cleared out a ton of pine needles, soot, and a dead animal that had gotten trapped. By the time they left, Noah resembled a chimney sweep from Mary Poppins. Richard and Mason returned the next week to install chimney caps, and clean the gutters since they were already up there. The caps are keeping out the rain, animals, and (hopefully) pine needles. At 3:30 he was not here and we tried calling and texting multiple times. At 4:30 he finally messaged me on Google Maps and said that he had rescheduled the service for today. I had never received any notification of the appt being rescheduled, but we went on ahead and scheduled for Saturday at 3:15. At 1:15 he texted me and said it was too windy. He said if if the winds didn't die down he was going to have to reschedule. Never contacted me back to let me know. By 2:30 there was virtually no wind. When 3:30 came and he didn't show up we called him and he said he had already let me know he couldn't come because of the wind (which was nonexistent at this point). He never once apologized or tried to make things right. He seems to be very flaky and so far we have been unsuccessful in even getting him to show up for one single appointment. I'm not sure how someone with such poor reliability and customer service can run a business. But I do know that we will not ever attempt to use this company's services in the future. Nor will we recommend them. This whole experience has been extremely frustrating.
