I dined in by myself, and as usual enjoyed the excellent food and polite if not austere service. When I went to the cash to pay, the owner/server had automatically added a 15% gratuity. When I asked him about this he replied that, "...tip automatic now. Yes." While I may have been inclined to tip more than the customary 15% in the past at this great little restaurant, I feel that the "automatic tip now. yes" is not appropriate or courteous, and I told the owner the same. After this experience I would say that while the food prepared by Mrs. Han is excellent, Mr. Han's sense of entitlement is too much. read more

I went there and tried their sushi and wonton soup. I found that the soup was a bit plain. On the other hand, the sushi was great. The place is clean and has friendly service. The only thing i didn't like is that they don't advertise "spicy" on their sushi menu, but you can ask for it. read more

It's a cute little restaurant. Their menu is not big at all with mostly rolls on the menu. The restaurant is operated by 2 elderly Korean people so I'd say they're doing an admirable job managing the whole place. The rolls are pretty tasty and arguably better than some sushi restaurants in Halifax. They're a bit amateurish though. I mean one portion has 8 pieces and the end 2 pieces are not the same as the others: you get more rice and less filling in them. Price is pretty good so in other restaurants you'd probably just get the 6 pieces for the same amount. I'd recommend the dynamite roll and smoked salmon(plenty of filling)! The interior is very clean and the owners are really polite. I would have rated it better if they had more selection. Sadly, the restaurant is in a spot that's not even easy to find. read more

I was happy to find this sushi restaurant on the main street, just across from the Lawtons and Home Depot. The restaurant is very clean with nice bamboo and rattan furniture, and interesting pictures hanging on the wall. Mr. Soon Han helped me find a table and served me very pleasantly. I felt like I was a guest in his home. He kept an sharp eye on my lemon ice water during my meal too. I like the way the lunch menu is set up, with lots of opportunity to mix and match. I settled on smoked salmon and cucumber sushi which was excellent and full of smoked salmon. Yum! My side dish was a freshly made Japanese seaweed salad, with many vegetables and a dressing that was simple and extremely tasty. This is a great restaurant, with great food and great service! Very, very good sushi. Not a big menu, but they do an excellent job with the items they do have. Service is excellent and friendly. There is only two people working here (the owners), but they are quick! Prices are very good. Everything is al la carte. read more

Been here a handful of times during the summer when I used to live in Wolfville. This is the place to go if you want to quickly pick up some sushi. The place was never almost busy the few times I've went, which is understandable because big ol' Sushi Fang probably snipes all their customers with their AYCE offering. Still, it's a nice quiet place with decent pricing, tasty sushi, and good service. Great for pick-ups, but you can also eat-in. Selection is lacking compared to other sushi restaurants, but that's mostly because the place is so small, so I can't really fault them for that, especially since they nail what they do offer. read more

This place is great! Run by two incredibly nice people in a extremely unassuming location. The menu is small, but everything you order is fresh, quick and tasty. Best sushi ever. I've been going here for a while. My kids love it. If I ever have to wait for a while I'm always offered tea. Which usually only happens if they're really busy because only the owners work there. Everything is fresh and made to order. It is small but inviting, just like the owners who are excited to see myself and my kids every time we show up. Not only is it the best sushi, but it is the best customer service in the entire Annapolis valley hands down. These guys should be giving customer service courses. read more
