Spend $20 on a greasy bag of food at the drive thru or sit down and enjoy a beautifully delicious hand-crafted meal that will make wanting to try more menu items; but you won't because you'll actually be full! We had high expectations based on the reviews, we tried the potstickers which was ready good, but we both choose to order the Chicken Ramen which was a big disappointment, the chicken was dry and the broth lacked all the essence of Asian seasoning, tasted like a beef broth package and the noodles were ok, harsh I know but neither of us came close to finishing our lunch and all they said, do you want us to package that up to take home never questioned if there was a problem. read more

Stands up to the needs and wants of a relentless foodie and yet is as unpretentious and joyful about what they do as I ever remember seeing a place be. I've visited The Noodle Guy almost every time I make my way down to the valley. Almost every single time has been amazing. Only once did I go that I was not super excited about what I ate. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the staff are excellent, I love visiting a restaurant where the owner is apart of the staff and not just behind the scenes. If you're ever in Wolfville for the day, make your way over to Port Williams to visit The Noodle Guy. The ravioli never disappoints. also, I would have sold my soul for the shrimp. read more

Love that you can get "piccolo" sized pastas - so you can try a bunch. Reminds me of Il Corvo, back in Seattle (with more generous hours) and just a little less frenzied. It's the kind of place where you bite into your pasta, briefly close your eyes and smile. Yes, that good. read more

Tried here for lunch on a sunny Friday in January and glad I did. There are a couple of parking spaces out front, which we got right outside the door, so didn't take notice of there was a lot in the back or anything. When you enter, there are a couple of wooden tables in the middle of the space, with seating for 6 each? To your left, there are smaller tables/bench space for 2 or 4, a few window seats, and one small, more private booth in the back. Casual rustic atmosphere with lots of natural lighting coming in. Large chalkboard menu, with laminated printed menus at the tables as well. Very friendly staff, especially from our purple-haired female server! Re the food: I wanted to try two of the small dishes, to experience two vs one menu item, but ended up picking the daily Ravioli special ($11) which was very good. Five homemade raviolis stuffed with quark cheese, topped with maple caramelized onion, which gave the dish a sweetness to offset the richness that ravioli normally brings. I was full before I finished it, and hadn't eaten all of the bread that came with it. (An orange colored, fresh, thick, almost focaccia...not sure if it was squash based or what, but tons of flavor in the seasoning). My friend ordered their spaghetti (with roasted red pepper, tomato and meat sauce. $11) but requested it with tagliatelle noodles instead, which was no problem. He was definitely satisfied with the flavor and portion size. Most of all, if you compare here to a "finer" Italian restaurant in Halifax, the food is just as good, but the price is less. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu, including their Asian dishes, etc. FYI: small, but decent selection of alcohol. My glass of Avondale Sky Tidal Bay hit the spot. They are delicious and no stinting on portion size, which is terrific. My son has essentially survived on Soba noodles his first year of university with a very challenging course load. He received straight As during his first term. I asked Ross what he put in those noodles! I am going to start consuming them as I could use a cognitive boost. I was visiting family in Wolfville and decided to drive over to Port Williams to seek out the Noodle Guy. Wasn't hard to find him. The pasta in the take out fridge was pricey at $8 for a very small portion but it looked delectable. When I looked like I was having a hard time deciding a friendly staff member came up to see if I needed help. She was fun to chat with and knowledgeable about her pasta. I was going to get some pasta to take home but after looking at the menu board the dinners sounded too good. I decided on the soba noodles with korean pork which i ordered spicy. The Noodle Guy was only too happy to set some of the noodles aside for my little guy before he added the chili paste in which I really appreciated. I was pretty hungry and the soba noodles smelled fantastic; it was a tough drive back to Wolfville. I tucked into the noodles right away. They did have a bit of a bite which was nice but I found that they were really oily; too much sesame oil perhaps? They also could have used more ingredients and were skimpy on the pork. Portion size was on the small side. There wasn't much going on texture and taste wise. I wasn't blown away and was hoping I would be. I will try the quark stuffed ravioli next time. I would like to come back and dine in. The place is casual and inviting. Their sip and dip nights would definitely be something I would like to try. read more

OMG. go to here. we were in town for a day trip (from halifax) and finally got to check this place out. the owner spotted us and came over to chat and review the menu - very casual and warm atmosphere. my partner and i shared a salad, plus the spaghetti and the shells. SO GOOD. lots of local wine and yummy sweets on offer. we had some wine and shared a cookie for dessert. the food was so good that we ended up taking some fresh pasta and sauce home to make the next day. excellent quality, generous portions, lovely place. this made us wish we lived in the valley! read more
