No reservations deli, leave you name and number and we will call you. Service is friendly but rushed. Ambiance is good for small groups. We tried the lobster roll (good size), seafood chowder and seafood pizza. Highlight for us is the seafood pizza, surprisingly the freshness of the mussels and scallops shine through. While the lobster roll and seafood chowders are delicious, they do not stand out from other restaurants

Best lobster rolls we had on our trip. Plenty of meat. My wife also had the seafood chowder that she said was the best she's had. Also had ordered Greek salad which came with pasta on it. I would recommend warming the pasta a little bit. Cool place. There was a wait but things moved fast. Service was fast and great.

They have a patio if you want to eat outside but there's also an indoor seating area. Service was pretty quick! I got a lobster roll. It was good but not the best that I've ever had. It's not a very mayonnaise based roll but still flavorful.

I enjoyed the scallop linguine with pesto sauce at the Salt Shaker Deli and couple weeks ago. This is a tiny place in Lunenburg with great service, a fun ambiance and delicious food. Our group had a great meal and enjoyed this experience.

We stopped by here for lunch. It was quite a busy service as there was a big wait list for table seating, but we decided to sit at the bar. We ordered their lobster roll and their crab cakes. The crab cakes by itself can be a bit heavy, but eating with their relish brighten the flavours their lobster roll was similar to a tuna salad with a variety of veggies and very light on the mayo. It was really light and refreshing. I would definitely come back here for lunch, and servers are very friendly.

I ordered the lobster roll and seafood chowder. While the lobster roll was okay, I've definitely had better; the roll was a bit too burnt for my liking. The restaurant has a cozy diner atmosphere that feels very welcoming. The staff were fantastic, providing great service throughout our visit.

Got in before the rush from the buses. Good sized portions. Had fish cakes, lumberjack pizza, lobster roll and chowder. Sat at the front porch which had a nice breeze today and was quieter. Had only a little time before we had to leave.

Avril, Hanna & Cailen. Wow. What a gem of a place..... on a side adventure for the day and out of all the things and places we saw..... THIS was the highlight of the whole day. As for food and drink; all was fantastic! (Although we only had the soup - Tomato & Seafood). I did see plenty of plates go out of the kitchen however and everything looked fresh and delicious. If you get a chance to visit this quaint town, make this your lunch spot! What a joy. Thank you staff for being helpful, engaging and so inviting. Cheers!

The food was amazing and the staff were great. The manager was so nice and personable and seated our party of 6 as quickly as possible. The lobster roll had only a small amount of mayo and was delicious. The smoked scallops in the chowder gave it great flavor. The fish cakes and Cesar salad was also very tasty. Had the smoked salmon and hot crab dip For appetizers and they were also so good-duh in quickly and so didn't take any pics. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. It was worth the wait.

    - mussels with white wine sauce was yummy! But the size of the muss were small - house ice tea was good - around 30 mins waiting time to be seated

I thought that the seafood chowder would just be a sideshow to the lobster roll. It wasn't. Hard to say which was better. Everything here is amazing!

Excellent food and great service. Patio has minimal view of water but is worth waiting for.

Pizzas were awesome. Pad Thai was good - not traditional flavor but very good, generous portion and tender chicken. Good service too.

Busy place on a holiday, but the wait staff kept up. I had the best lobster roll ever. Good views of the harbor.

I had the breakfast sandwich with bacon and egg on chive bread with homemade tomato jam and my hubby had a freshly made omelette. We took two cinnamon buns to go! This is an absolute must stop - normally I am not even a breakfast fan The employees were lovely and the ambience was warm and welcoming!

Hi! WELL, what a pleasant surprise! A new Restaurant…read morethat sprung up! We arrived just as they closed, haha... but they let us in to chat and buy some of their DELICIOUS baking... Which is ALL made from scratch!! All their Breads are home made and NOT brought in, like at the Rose Bistro down the road.... The owner of this "Hungry Traveler" and their staff are warm and kind people! There is outside Patio Seating, TONS of Parking, and it's at: 10117 Highway 3... Phone: 902-518-2535 .... It's on the way to the Rose Bistro, [which we will NEVER patronize again]... Their menu is "All Day Breakfast"... and Sandwich type Brunch! They also cater trays... They have a "Build your OWN" Breakfast... The place is seemingly serene... [with none of the 'out of control' kids or over-crowding, like at that Rose Bistro down the road]... Their food offerings are cheaper and budget friendly....And they do not 'push you through' to get to the next customer, like the Bistro... The Brunch Sandwiches look amazing... and we intend to eat our way through their menu offerings!! The Sandwiches are decent sized... with HOME-MADE Bread!! We are going back for their Vietnamese Sandwich... It's traditional, right down to the marinated Chicken, Pickled Daikon & Carrot Slaw, fresh Cilantro etc.... The Curried Chicken looks great, and so does the Vegan Mashed Buffalo Chick Peas... It will be hard to decide what to eat after the Vietnamese Sandwich for sure!!! And the place is immaculate! The "Hungry Traveler" has our attention and our cash! Reading between the lines, you can probably tell we had just experienced "A Brunch from hell" at the Rose Bistro down the road... screaming/crying kids...Parents ignoring the bad behavior, some were running around... ...We grabbed our cutlery and water and went outside... We DIDN'T enjoy our meal which cost around $48.00 ... We had some nice times there, but are fed up with the WILDLIFE... this was a BOMB...and we will never return.

I've found that mediocre steak sandwiches are extremely common and truly good ones are truly rare…read more Mine was by far the best steak sandwich I've ever had. Not a bit of fat, good sear on the outside, medium-well in a the center. Garlic aioli applied in just the right (small) amount and compliments the other flavors/ingredients (provolone, bread was... a thin brioche?) perfectly. I also had a side Caesar salad, which again are notorious for not having any effort put into them, and just a box to be checked. This however could easily have been the main dish. Star of the show was the thick, ample chunks of savory bacon, there from the first bite to the last... without overpowering. Every square millimeter of lettuce had dressing and cheese. Perfect. Wife had the salmon. Boy had the chicken club. Daughter the curry. Everyone was thrilled with their dishes. If I was a local I'd be going back regularly.

One of the Best Burgers I've Ever Had - A Must-Visit in Lunenburg!…read more Lunenburg is packed with amazing food options, but we're so glad we chose to eat at The Grand Banker--it did not disappoint. My wife and I started with the sweet potato fries, and they were fantastic--crispy, flavourful, and taken to the next level with that curry mayo. She ordered the Lobster Roll and absolutely loved it--super fresh, packed with flavour, and exactly what you'd hope for this close to the ocean. I went all in on the Lunenburger, and let me tell you--it's easily one of the best burgers I've ever had, if not the best. It was absolutely loaded: a juicy, flavour-packed beef patty, crispy bacon, sweet and flaky lobster, fresh arugula, tasty aioli, and to top it all off--a bacon-wrapped scallop that was just the cherry on top. Every bite was next-level. No wonder this place has won awards. From fresh seafood to creative pub fare, The Grand Banker delivers big on both quality and flavour. Highly recommend, especially for fellow burger lovers--you need to try the Lunenburger!
