So the biggest issue i had with this place was the service. It was later. Say 7:45. I have two kids. It took them 15 minutes to seat us....in a near empty restaruant. The male server treated us like crap. Was unfriendly. And I couldn't help but think it was because we have a daughter with significant disabilties. It made us feel all uncomfortable. We would have left and found somwhere else but it was already 7:45 and we wanted to get to our hotel room. Inside is pretty plain and lacks comfortablity. Decent size menu with lots of seafood, pasta, and diner dishes. Portions were huge. Food was delicous. Everyone enjoyed their food although the service put a bitter taste in our mouth. I wouldn't come here because of how we were treated. But the food is really good.

Great food and service. Many delicious menu items to choose from. The Chicken Alfredo is my favorite.

Service was excellent, professional and quick. Maybe too quick, our appetizers arrived before our drinks. The menu is innovative but still traditional. Fish and Chips, mussels, oysters, chowder along with burgers and sandwiches, including a lobster roll on a locally made croissant. But also Pad Thai and a Bulgogi Rice Bowl. All of our dishes were wonderful. But what most impressed me is the extensive gluten free menu, complete with a fryer and gf batter for the fish & chips and fish tacos.

Fortunately, the owner of our Inn told us that The Naked Oyster recently opened and is a sister restaurant to Rebecca's. What a beautiful experience it was! It was very busy but there are several places to sit comfortably outside. The Adirondack chairs were very nice, with a view of Mahone Harbor. After a bit of a wait, we were seated. The service was excellent. I can't imagine I'll ever experience a more delicious chowder than their Captain's Chowder, a creamy clam broth with generous portions of scallops, mussels and haddock. We also had a half dozen local oysters that were perfect. High marks for the Caesar Salad too. I would put this on the "can't miss" list for the area.

If you read their website former dairy farmers turned lobster restaurant cooks on weekends. The location did not have live music on Sunday. You get the funny bib if you want and the lobster meal for $44 with mussels and unlimited salad and rolls or $39 without the mussels but unlimited salad and rolls. The lobster was rather corny in taste, they were not over cooked and pretty nice. The mussels they tasted like the standard grocery store ones- apparently from farmed source. The waiters and waitresses frequently visited to check on us and empty out buckets. The meal also came with two dessert options and self serve coffee/tea. The experience- was nice but pricey and a bit touristy. It was sadden that the unlimited salad bar actually lacked green salad or spinach- which I was sort of craving. They generally had a selection of mayonnaise based salads- look at my photo. But some selection- but I didn't see anything fun like crab salad. The machine auto request for 15% tip, so if you're not a fan of being told what to tip be sure to manually adjust it. Washroom is located in the main floor and the lower floor. Water was self serve- which I thought was odd since the servers were visiting frequently already.

At places like this it's customary to offer several kinds of oysters identified by place of origin but I've never seen that before for lobster, of which they had four, from Cape Breton, PEI, and New Brunswick. In addition to the raw bar there are a few hot items, but don't expect the typical fish&chips or boiled lobster. It was crowded and too sunny on the outside deck so we elected to sit inside at the bar, which was surprisingly empty when we arrived. Behind the bar was a bustle of activity, the three bartenders busy shucking oysters and arranging plates of crab legs and lobster. (Is a raw bar worker still called a bartender?) I ordered the tuna tostadas, the wife a Baja from the tacos section, and we shared a Coctel De Camerones. Between the two small plates and the shared shrimp cocktail it was easily enough for lunch. The three tostadas were tuna, cilantro, jalapeno, pickled onion, green onions, and avocado crema served open-faced on the crispy corn tortillas. The taco was battered haddock, tequila-cilantro crema, chili mayo, cabbage, and pickled onion. Both excellent. The shrimp cocktail was enormous, and not what we expected - but in a good way. More like a thick gazpacho than the typical style. The shrimp were mixed into the thick, tomato-based sauce, sweet, spicy, and tangy, made with ketchup, Tabasco, Worcestershire, onions, and garlic. Topped with avocado and lime wedges, and served with saltine crackers. That's my only complaint: swap the saltines for a better cracker, or maybe tortilla chips. The unexpectedly tiny shrimp were not a flaw really; this way you can have a shrimp in every bite. I never did decide whether the fork or the spoon was the appropriate utensil. The cocktails were innovative, with curious names, many made with local liqueurs and intriguing ingredients (what, for example, is "grilled corn syrup", used in the "Dad Jokes" - and what the reason for its name?) My Pourly Fraised was Signal Hill whiskey from Newfoundland, Aperol, grapefruit, strawberry (thus "Fraised") and hibiscus syrups, and lemon was so refreshing, though perhaps not as strong at it should have been. A great meal, and for a very reasonable price. Lobster was "market price" but I didn't inquire. And the Seafood Tower at $140 or the Caviar & Pringles at $100 are available for those who want to splurge. Fortunately I'm not a fan of either so I wasn't tempted.
