Mike Johnson is without a doubt the best hearing specialist ever. I first met him when I needed…read morehearing aids for my impaired hearing. I did some research and found that he was donating his time to Menifee Senior Living, an assisted living facility where my mom resided. He would spend time every week meeting with residents to help them with their hearing needs. That was all I needed to make my decision of who to go to for my hearing needs. I have been in his care now for 6 years, he also takes care of my mother's hearing needs. The best thing about his care is he schedules a visit every 6 weeks at no charge to clean the hearing aids, remove wax build up from your ears and just have a friendly visit with him. We recently moved to the state of Georgia which would normally make it impossible to remain in his care, but he set me up with a second pair of hearing aids so if ever I had an issue all I had to do was mail the hearing aids back to him and use the back up pair. This system worked perfectly. I also called him about a problem we were having with my mom's hearing aids so he recorded a video of what he thought the problem could be with how to address the problem and it worked. I can't express how wonderful Mike Johnson is and encourage you to give him a chance to take care of your needs. You will not be disappointed.

My girlfriend Tiffany has been…read morestruggling with her Oticon hearing aids for a long time--sweat from workouts kept ruining them, leading to eight different repair returns and constant loaners. It was exhausting and frustrating. We decided to try the Signia Pure Charge & Go BCT 7 IX online through Fix Your Ears, and Phillip was incredible from start to finish. He took the time to really understand our situation, recommended the right model for her active lifestyle, handled the custom mold process perfectly (impressions sent in and returned embedded just right), included the TV Sound streamer at no extra charge so she could enjoy TV without blasting the volume, and was always available to walk us through setup issues until everything worked flawlessly. The price was a fraction of what local places quoted, the aids are authentic with the full Signia 3-year warranty, shipping was fast, and the support was outstanding. This company truly goes above and beyond to help people who need better hearing without the crazy markups. Phillip is knowledgeable, patient, honest, and genuinely cares about getting it right. If you're thinking about buying hearing aids online, Fix Your Ears is the real deal--highly recommend, especially if you talk to Phillip. Thank you for making such a big difference in our lives!

They took our appointment prior to being fully authorized to accept our insurance, but we were told that August 1 they would be able to submit our authorization. We are still currently without hearing aids, and our authorization has not been sent correctly. Not only has their provider, Teresa been extremely disrespectful to us since we raised concerns regarding the way our authorization was being handled, and management has also stopped calling us back. We are three months out from having originally be seen, and we have not received his necessary hearing aids. We were provided with a temporary Hearing Aid because we raised concerns with how this is being handled and were given a pair that we're not even fully functional, missing buttons, and a rapidly draining battery (we are changing batteries sometimes twice a day), but were told to be thankful for what we received. After nearly another month we were then told that our authorization was mailed in via USPS, which is not how authorizations are done with our insurance company. At this point we're now not only concerned with the fact that we have not received our hearing aids, but our medical information was not appropriately handled and mailed to some random address. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. We're currently in the process of filing a grievance with our insurance and a complaint with HIPPA. We were able to get in at Jesters Hearing Aid Center Inc. They were able to clearly tell me what their authorization process is and gave a clear timeline for their process, and how long it will take us to receive hearing aids with custom molds. Even in the brief of conversation with their office staff, they were far more competent and helpful than the staff at Belton and Valley Wide Hearing. I would suggest taking your business there rather than dealing with this company.

She said they would verify insurance and call me back. It's been a week 7/10 since this conversation, no call back from them. I called another hearing aid office and have an appointment elsewhere. Strange , very strange. No communication, no called back from them. How does a business stay in business by not reaching out to customers?

I debated on leaving this review but I think it's important for others to know…read more My daughter recently had an ST eval at Kaiser with subsequent orders for treatment. This evaluation occurred mid November. During this eval, we chose Lucid since they had afternoon availability. The location was also close to my daughter's daycare and husband's job. On Kaiser's end, the treatment was authorized within two days and sent over to Lucid. I figured with the holiday there would be a delay but I never received a call from Lucid to schedule. I finally called Kaiser's outside referral department to see if there was indeed an authorization letter (this never populated in my daughter's Kaiser account), found out that it's been authorized and sent over to Lucid since 11/14. Suddenly the same day I called Kaiser, I get a call from Lucid to schedule. Mind you, this call took place on 12/18...over a month later! Of course now there is only morning availability and the overall delay said enough about how they operate. I work in healthcare, outpatient services get away with things like this. Let this happen in an inpatient setting and you immediately get in trouble for delay in treatment.

I hope that something is done to enlighten the mood of the front desk assistant and make the overall welcome at the office feel positive for everyone checking in. It's already hard as it is for these kids to be going into therapy, we don't need the beginning of the experience to be rude.
