Minutes later I was rekaxinf in a chair with a needle in my arm. At 8:07a I was sitting in my truck writing this review. I would totally come here again for any labs. They are quick and efficient. The staff were smiling this early in the morning. Who does that???... except me! Lol. Accessible parking and entrance.

The receptionist just sits on a chair and directs people to the kiosk. A sign would surely save a salary. I was called in a fairly timely manner, information was exchanged and blood was drawn. One of the tests was a 24 hour Urinalysis Sample. I was given the container and both written and oral instructions. The two most important were... don't collect the sample on Saturday as we are closed on Sunday and please "drop it off" at any location within 30 minutes of completing the test. The concept of "drop it off" is lost on Sonora Quest. All the receptionist knows how to say is "use the kiosk", you need to sign in on the kiosk, choose "drop off a sample" and then sit down and wait, and wait, and wait. Since you didn't have an appointment, things are not in your favor. Finally a technician comes out, blurts out your name and you get to follow them to a small room. There you also get to answer questions about your sample. All the same as you were instructed, days prior. After answering "YES" to numerous questions and verifying the information on the small label the technician printed out you are free to leave. This is NOT "drop it off" this is return it and wait. Another 30 minutes of my life I won't get back. Remember that when dealing with Sonora Quest, your time does not matter.

That is way too long for a facility that only had two people waiting to be seen ahead of me. Granted, I did not know what was going on inside but only two people left in all that time. I can see if it was packed but it was not. I know I was a walk in, but still. Not their fault but an FYI, the construction on Bethany and 19th Ave going north is a nightmare and extremely dangerous. I am resolved to not go near Christown Mall area for a year. It is extremely difficult and borderline impossible getting into and out to this facility alive! I would have given it four stars but took off one for the wait time. I did not take off a star for the construction since that is not their fault. However, giving fair warning to others to be careful or chose another Simonmed facility in town.

They are incredibly prompt (much appreciated since I'm normally fasting and HANGRY when I arrive.) The best thing for me is that these folks know what they are doing. I have tiny veins and they never struggle with the draw. Results are typically done within two days and if you sign up for their portal, you'll get an alert when it's ready. Bonus is there is a Starbucks in the Safeway too so you can go straight to breakfast!!

Recently the scheduling process has become even less customer friendly. Following is an example of how they operate: Yesterday mid day I received an email stating Mom's blood draw was scheduled for noon today. Then at 4:25 yesterday afternoon I received another email and text stating the appointment had been moved to 9 am. I immediately called and the phone was answered by an unprofessional sounding young woman who took over 10 minutes to locate the appointment. She then informed me it was too late to change it. I told her the 9 am time would not work and why. She said she'd send a message to someone (not sure who). Subsequently I texted, called, left a voicemail message, and sent an email requesting contact. No response. Fast forward to this morning. At 7:39 I received a text stating the technician was on his way. 30 seconds later I received a text stating work was finished. I immediately called and left another voicemail asking that someone contact me about scheduling. No one has. So to recap: this company scheduled an early appointment for the next day. I called within 15 minutes but they refused to change it, even though the time scheduled was their mistake. Then they showed up unannounced almost 90 minutes earlier than that! Wow. I've given this company 2 stars only because so far they haven't screwed up the actual blood draw. But as far as scheduling is concerned they seem to care more about their own convenience than that of my Mom. They literally just show up whenever they want.

I got an appointment the same day (good!)…read more Before the test I asked if they take insurance, but said "no, but we will provide everything you need to submit it to your insurance company". So, they did a good job with my test and my results within 20 minutes. When I was sent my results, but it was missing: 1) Type of service/Procedure code. 2) Health care professional name/credentials 3) Health care professional Tax ID #. I called twice, emailed them 2 times with no replies (bad!). Then and went to the facility in Scottsdale and they said they didn't have it (bad!). Bottom line, they provide a good service if you want to pay full price. If you want to submit it to your insurance, don't believe them when they say they'll provide you what's needed to submit it to your insurance.
