I found Dexafit just as perimenopause was kicking in for me and I was having trouble losing weight…read more I had been both gaining weight and also doing strength training 2x a week for several months and so was confused as to whether my going to the gym was improving my health. My husband and I drove to Dexafit hoping to get a more accurate reading on whether my weight gain was due to more fat or muscle and frankly, to get help on maintaining healthy body weight. It was a fantastic experience. We did the $99 special and I was delighted to get a 10 page, full color, detailed report of our body weight. We also received a grade on our body weight, bone and metabolic health, which was super helpful and gave us a good place to start. Then, an incredibly kind, cheerful and forthright trainer sat us down and was very frank about the changes that needed to happen in order for us to improve our health. He gave us direct feedback on where we should focus and did not overwhelm us with a mega fitness plan that we would soon forget and not follow through on. NO HARD SELL ON SUPPLEMENTS, AT ALL. He even demonstrated specific exercises tailored to my husband's body and fitness level that he could do to improve his health. The results speak for themselves: I started a plan to add yoga sessions to my weekly workout schedule to improve my joint flexibility and I am feeling much better as a result. I will continue the yoga sessions. My HUSBAND doubled his gym visits and his weight is at least holding steady. We will go back to Dexafit in about 2-3 months to get another check to see if our new workout plans and exercises have improved his health. Oh yes: Also, the space was clean and tidy, they were on-time, even early to start our appointment and they did both my husband and I at the same time, but alternating diagnostic machines. My husband and I were in and out in an hour, including the consultation. Money well spent.

But what's the point, if you're already here you might as well wait rather than come back and wait a different hour. Why not just set aside a block or two for X-rays only during the day. The front desk staff will have loud private conversations while you're standing at the desk waiting for them to process your check-in. When did it become acceptable to carry on what should be private conversations while customers are waiting and forced to listen (no boundaries anymore for manners) to such silly conversations. Employees use to wait to have private conversations. I don't want to listen to people on their cell phones much less than "school girl" employee conversations.

Where was the old machine stored in an old linen closet or a dingy basement? That didn't sound encouraging. I felt the entire experience was not up to medical standards. There is also a TON of parking available.
