I went here for an X-RAY and here is the good and bad. Some of it is beyond their control but just an FYI. Pros- The woman working the desk was probably the best receptionist I have ever found in any medical facility in Phx, "enough said." The rest of the staff were nice The facility was clean, relaxed, and organized. Cons It took three hours to get an X-Ray. That is way too long for a facility that only had two people waiting to be seen ahead of me. Granted, I did not know what was going on inside but only two people left in all that time. I can see if it was packed but it was not. I know I was a walk in, but still. Not their fault but an FYI, the construction on Bethany and 19th Ave going north is a nightmare and extremely dangerous. I am resolved to not go near Christown Mall area for a year. It is extremely difficult and borderline impossible getting into and out to this facility alive! I would have given it four stars but took off one for the wait time. I did not take off a star for the construction since that is not their fault. However, giving fair warning to others to be careful or chose another Simonmed facility in town. read more

I arrived at 3:15 p.m. for my 3:30 p.m. appointment. By 3:45 p.m., I asked the front desk if they were running behind, and I was told they were and there was still one patient ahead of me. If the office is aware that appointments are running behind, it's common courtesy to inform patients upon arrival and give them the opportunity to decide whether they want to wait or reschedule. Patients are expected to notify the office if they're going to be late, so it's reasonable to expect the same level of consideration and communication from the provider's office. Better communication would have made for a much better experience. read more

I give them zero stars there is a reason they are rated 1.5 stars their place is filthy. I was on the phone for more than a half hour securing an appointmen. I specifically asked for a female tech. I was assured that the appointment was scheduled with a female and after all this particular location is called the women's center. well, I drive and arrived and waited only to find out the tech was a male and they have no female techs there at all. I was very disappointed and upset because there is a reason I wanted a female. This appointment was rescheduled for another week and because of the nature of the appointmen, I don't think they should make me wait that long. I attempted to submit a complaint. They put me on eternal hold and finally hung up on me. The process of submitting a complaint is an additional burden on the patient and they don't want to hear you out. they will never learn how bad they really are. This is not the first time I have had scheduling issues. They've scheduled me at the wrong office for the wrong imaging service and gave me the run around. All in all, I wonder how our insurances tolerate this kind of service for their members. read more

I just showed up for a scheduled appointment at 19th Ave. & Glendale to have 4 MRIs done. After psyching myself up for a long appointment as well as taking off work, I was told that they couldn't do 3T MRIs at that location. The staff said they didn't even have my orders on file and they insinuated that I must have called them and scheduled it at the wrong facility. How would I even know what to schedule the appointment for? I told them their scheduler CALLED ME after pre-authorization was obtained and booked the appointments at their location. When I asked why their scheduler would even send me there, she said I don't know, I'm not a scheduler. I don't appreciate them trying to shift the blame on me. They clearly had my orders when scheduling the appointment and they had my doctor's information because they supposedly called them yesterday (a Sunday) to verify the 3T orders (which again, how did you know it was 3T if you didn't have the orders?). Then to make matters worse, they lied and said they left me a voice mail message about it. Have they forgotten that cell phones log call activity? I never received a phone call or a voice mail. They need to own up to their mistakes and stop trying to blame the patient. Very frustrating experience and I'll never go to that location again. read more

I reported this to my child's doctor and she is making a formal complaint. The two women at the office were rude, snarky, and sent people away even tho when I called they said that they take x-ray walk ins until 430pm. The front desk staff tried to start turning people away around 3pm. They said that they didn't want to see the patient and had to call somebody to see if they had to help her or not. They were rude about us using the bathroom, having INCREDIBLY inappropriate conversations in front of patients in the waiting room and even had their boyfriend coming in to bring food. They put up a sign on the desk saying that they weren't helping anybody anymore around 4pm instead of 5pm which is when they are supposed to close. Overall, the front desk staff were TERRIBLE to have to deal with and I absolutely WOULD NOT bring your children here or they will leave with hurt feelings. Based on other reviews it seems that the two women working the front desk have no boundaries and management doesn't care because if they did care about the front desk staffs bad behavior there wouldn't be so many negative reviews talking about them. I would rather make the 30 minute drive to another location than to ever have to come to this place again. read more

The only good thing about this place is that the receptionist/person who checked us in was nice. That's about it. We chose this place since it was the closest place open for a walk in X-ray for my daughter. The first thing that hits you is a bad smell when you walk in. And the place looked so dirty, walls dirty, and everything was dusty. There is no way this place is ever cleaned and sanitized. I definitely did not want to touch anything. My daughter had to use the restroom and the toilet was clogged and there were several roach traps in the bathroom. I'm sorry but this place is gross. read more

I have worked in customer service and the medical field for 15 years I have never experienced such trash customer service since I moved to Arizona but this place tops them all something as simple as an x-ray ,was not aware that it could be so difficult to greet customers and communicate. This place is what it is. Operations as normal except for the front end receptionists. I understand they deal with many people and conquering tedious clerical tasks but being courteous and just a little friendly wouldn't hurt. Even a smile would go a long way. If I could give a negative 5 I would. I went for a mammo and dexa. The receptionist Amanda was so rude I wanted to walk out and go someplace else. Even though I had an appt scheduled for both back to back she made me come back on a different day. When I came back she was still equally rude, personally I would terminate her. I am in the process of getting an MRI. I call their appointment phone to schedule an MRI for this location. A week after my appointment I arrive for my MRI. I am told by the receptionist who is very preoccupied with texting on her phone - that my appointment was cancelled yesterday. They don't do MRIs at this location. The phone scheduler made a mistake. No one bothered to call me. I fasted for 5 hours including no water. I took the entire day off from work. I drove over an hour round trip to get to this location. I tried for 3 days to get Simon Med on the phone to make an appointment for my mother as she's having cancer surgery this Saturday and I've literally been on hold each day 4 hours or longer before giving up. Today they finally called me back only my mom answered but I make the appointments because I drive her and the lady, Samantha, gave her an extension that my mom confirmed 3x and it's not a accurate extension. They charged her for visits from more than 2 years ago threatening her with collections this is for someone on Medicare and a very small fixed income. Update: I went to Simonmed to get the radiologist's report, and the radiologist indicated he did not have recent films to compare, so he was forced to use films from 2014. I had driven 40 miles round trip to get the last films from another provider, and when I gave the CD to the technician (the form that Simonmed requires), she said " we'll try to get these loaded." Apparently they were too incompetent to do that. read more

Each time I've been here it's been a nightmare. Don't even bother making an appointment because they're "first come, first serve" even if you have an appointment, and the obnoxious gal at the front desk will point you to the "first come, first serve" sign, because that clearly trumps your scheduled appt time. Second, the waiting room holds maybe 15 people tops but they're so backed up there's 20 plus people crammed into the small waiting room each time I've been here, AND there was people literally waiting down the hall each time. I called before appt and confirmed day, time & location but the front desk employee couldn't find me in the system. I'd give zero stars if Yelp would allow it. I'm literally calling my GP to fire her, simply because she's sent me to this nightmare of a business multiple times now when I've asked to be sent elsewhere, and each time I've been here it's been a complete nightmare. Wonderful front desk, fantastic ultrasound tech. Probably the best tech I've ever had (3rd baby), he was so informative and took the time to explain and show me every detail of the baby. Very gentle and easy to work with. Can't blame them personally for the phone system, but as a company their phone system is a joke and frustrating. read more

This specific location was okay. My second time (different location) and both times was told when I walked in that no insurance authorization was obtained. I opted to pay 'cash' price while at the facilities. Both times I received bills for the amounts I paid at the facility. Called billing office yesterday and was told it would take 4-6 weeks to verify my payment. I offered to fax my receipt, and was told it wouldn't help. This place is horrible, I had to have 3 MRI's, they put me in there and I was ok for awhile but I started having pain in my head and my left shoulder, it got so horrible that I was crying, and they wouldn't stop by the time I was done I had been crying hysterically and begging for them to get me out and they didn't. It had to have been at least 45 minutes that I was hysterically crying and begging for them to stop! Worst place ever, I wouldn't go back there if they paid me a billion dollars!! All the while her coworkers are doing nothing and being obnoxiously loud about their personal lives. It appears as if nobody is doing work when they have a lobby full of people and you all are talking to each other about non-Work activities. Here's an idea: don't have the Intake person be the same person that inputs the forms for patients. That way she can actually get it done vs. being stopped to help patients that just came in. Allow me to make a damn appointment online for X-ray and make the forms available online. I waited forever to be told to wait again in another room. This is just stupid business. I want to give a shout-out to THIS location for the way the ladies in the office handled our request last summer for a copy of an MRI. We had driven down here (24 miles round trip) after our doctor's office told us we had to order it from an out-of-state facility, with an ETA of 30+ days. We needed it sooner than that. It was hot, my husband's back was killing him... but he needed the report so we came, ID in hand, expecting to be told the same thing the doctor's office had told us. We figured we'd have to beg and possibly offer up our first born child. Not the case at all! It took all of 5 minutes from the time we entered their office, to the time they handed us our freshly printed copy. Wow. I know to some people this might seem miniscule, but to us it was very important. And they were also very nice and polite. Service with a smile. What a concept. read more

The one star is for the receptionist as she was friendly and helpful. The X-ray tech was nice but the quality of my X-rays were terrible. They were so fuzzy and washed out there was no way to see the joint. Went to follow up with my primary care 3 days later and she had to call and wait on the phone as the radiologist still had not read my films. Gave a generic statement....degenerative changes...I'm not sure how they saw anything on these films. As a healthcare worker myself I am so disappointed with this outcome. read more
