Tomorrow will be the third time we have had to return to this facility in Anthem, AZ for simple blood tests. The first return was because the tech did not draw enough blood to do the test. This time we had to return because they did not perform one of the ordered tests. Tech did not seem to know what or how to use the computer to do and took a long time just to find the blood order. There was no person at reception and we had to wait for somebody to appear from the back to gain entry. Disappointed since the facility was suggested by my doctor's office. Overall unprofessional and disappointing. In addition, we received a bill from a collection agency for a bill before we made our first visit. We had not used this facility before. I visited the Sonora Quest lab at 155 E Warner after my doctor recommended tests, a location that, amusingly, isn't even listed on Yelp. I asked to schedule an appointment, but the two staff behind the counter were absorbed in their phones. One finally tossed me a card with a QR code and said, "Scan this to book." I did, and arrived for my 7:30 slot, signed in at 7:25, only to be ignored until after 8:00. The same woman who gave me the card then called to request my insurance information. I pointed out my appt time, and she said I wasn't on their schedule, and hinted that multiple people were having trouble with the booking system. Frustrating, untrustworthy, unprofessional, and avoidable... bypass this location if you can zero stars! read more

Sonora Quest has gone completely downhill since Covid. there is no front desk customer service. most phlebotomist are inept and if you have a standing order they will be lost and then tell you your Banner specialist fill it out wrong... read more

This is absolutely the worst Sonora Quest location I have ever encountered. Waited over an hour just to drop off a specimen. On another occasion they lost my sample then found it 3 days later. Staff is rude when you ask basic questions. Avoid at all costs. read more

I always schedule an appointment online to ensure that I don't have to wait but I had immediate lab work to complete for an upcoming medical appointment and was a "walk-in." I was able to check in at the Kiosk as all patients whether you are a walk-in or have scheduled an appointment. I did note my name in the queue and the place in line which moved along quickly. Appointments were called in adherence to their scheduled time, however, my name remained in the queue and was soon called. The technician was Madison who is an outstanding professional and skilled phlebotomist. The care and attention to detail made the entire experience pleasant and brief without any discomfort. Madison is not only courteous and friendly but also efficient and skilled in drawing the specimens with careful patient identification labeling to ensure accuracy. The reception area is no longer staffed which makes the work of the technicians more challenging and comprehensive of processing the orders, ensuring patient name and insurance coverage, as well as the actual lab procedures. The line moved at a very steady pace and I had to wait less than 10 minutes as a walk-in. I would recommend making an appointment time but am confident that walk-in patients are seen in a timely manner. The lab results were remarkably fast and usually take several days, however, my results were available the very next day! Highly recommend Sonora Quest Laboratories at this very convenient location with plenty of free parking available in the very large lot. read more

Every time I've come here there has been a problem. To drop off you have to wait over an hour. The last time I was here over two hours. They gave me a hard time about not having a paper order which I wasn't given when they already had it in the computer. Everyone is angry in the waiting room whenever I come. The way they run things here isn't working and none of the staff are friendly. Definitely switching labs. Even when no one is here... LONG wait! read more

My husband and I were both "walked-in" for labs. We signed into the kiosk. I signed in first and my husband signed in after me. However my husband was called up first and was seen first. When I questioned this I was told there were 2 appointments ahead of me since I was a walk-in. That doesn't make sense. I was signed in before my husband yet he was seen earlier, we were both "walk-in". I was seen 20 minutes later than my husband and my total wait time was around 1 hour where his was less than 40 minutes. read more

By appointment only. Online appointments are easy. But even with appointment we waited an hour. No excuse for that. They may as well not have an appointment system if they're going to do that. The person who actually took the blood was very good. Smooth, quick, relatively painless. But they need to work on their appointment scheduling. read more

My issue was really the wait time with an appointment. I waited 45 min after my appt time. The lady at the front every time I would ask her she said it shouldn't be much longer. Then someone else who came in somehow goes straight to the back while a handful of others were waiting. (Appt and non appt). The girl drawing my blood was just there to do her job which is understandable but didn't really say much to me. Biggest thing they could work on is getting their pts in closer to appt time otherwise no issues ! read more

I have only had the minor issue of not receiving a call back here. I make all my appointments online with no issue but I can read, that can make a difference. I get blood drawn several times a year and I do it specifically at this location because it is appointment only and has been for the 2 years since I moved back to the US and have been going there. Some of the employees can be abrupt but that doesn't really bother me. I've never had to wait over 20 minutes and usually not even that long. They've even made special exceptions to get in me in when my Dr hadn't sent the order in but I did have an appointment but they didn't have an order. So honestly I'll continue going to this location as I find it perfectly acceptable. read more

The processes and procedures at this lab are ridiculous. It took 30 minutes to drop off a specimen that was collected at home. Thankfully I was smart enough to put it in a cooler with an ice pack. All of the information needed was on the piece of paper I was to given to them along with the specimen. I was seriously called back to a room to hand the person the specimen. There is no reason for this. This process takes far too long and takes away from the patients that are there for a blood draw. Corporate please hire an efficiency auditor, because time and money is being wasted. All you end up with is a bunch of annoyed people. This makes sense why there is a sign in your office advising people to not get confrontational with the staff. I can't imagine why anyone would be upset. read more

Waited over an hour, with an appointment and somehow there were still 10 people ahead of me that had also been waiting for over an hour with appointments. Does anyone work here? Last time I came in they couldn't find my labs that I had confirmed were sent in, and this time they expected me to wait 2hrs after my appointment to do a 5 minute blood draw. I live right up the street from this lab. As I did not think they closed as early as they did I rushed over at 245 making it for 250 knowing I was cutting it close I rushed to the front desk with my order from my doctor. Without any greeting, no hello no acknowledgement at all that I just walked through the front door of your completely EMPTY location and you can't even give any greeting? Okay cool, so then all I get is a rude and very lazy "umm do you have an appt?" Umm??????? I know that we don't start sentences with umm yet here you are resting your head on you hand like you're ready to fall asleep saying "umm" before greeting the only patient walking through the door. "No but I have an order from my doctor" I said back a little taken back yet irritated. "Well you need an appt" Why couldn't you say, I'm very sorry but we actually are by appt only, would you like to schedule one with me now or do you want information on another walk in location right around the corner?" Instead I just walked away without any acknowledgement of your attitude until I was half way out of the place and THEN I get a "do you want me to give you the Info on a walk in location?" No not at all. I don't want you to work to hard handing me a preprinted form of locations, I don't want you to try a little harder by letting me know there's a convenient location right up the road a couple blocks, I definitely didn't want you to be helpful in any way because that'd be wayyyy tooo much to ask at 10 minutes until closing, my gosh you might as well lock the door behind me and head home early. You'd be doing everyone a far better service if you got a job where everyday that you "worked" you didn't feel like it was work because the positive energy it feeds you would create a foundation for happiness. You're not happy and it's literally in your body language, tone and written all over your face- to the man at the front desk, stop spreading your negativity, you're the first face we see when walking in the door, make is pleasant. read more

Next to impossible to make an appointment. You gotta do it online because they won't take your call, but you can't do it online because of some stupid pop up about insurances they accept. First complaint. This happened when they still had walk-ins. Had an appointment and waited close to two hours before I went up to the desk to find out what was going on. They were taking all walk-ins before me. The comment was you are next. Sorry we forgot to put it in as an appointment. Second complaint. This was when you had to have an appointment. I had an appointment. Someone came in just before me without one. As a courtesy they said the would take them. So they did and I waited close to 20 minutes past my time. Seems like they could have taken him after me. Third complaint. Had an appointment and waited close to an hour before I got in. I am a hard blood draw and will say they have been good at taking with minimal pain. read more

I made an optional appointment online for 7:30am, I arrived at 7:01am, there were plenty of people waiting there, but they were fast. I was in at 7:10am ahead of my appointment, and I was out within 10 minutes of walking through the blood work door. All-in-all I walked out of the building at 7:21am, a whole 9 minutes before my appointment. Front desk was nice, everyone seemed professional, and there were no issues. Chairs were comfortable, TV was okay since it was set to some generic Sonora Quest lab channel, and the blood work went flawlessly. It wasn't that bad of an experience honestly, I'd do it again at this location. --Setting up an account for Sonora Quest and making an optional set appointment time is simple to do, and there's no reason not to, you really have no right to complain if you're walking into the lab with no appointment expecting to be served before everyone else. read more

I am traveling from Texas and got an infection while in Arizona. I had to have labs done and found this location online. I was able to get my labs done easily and quickly. My Dr from Texas faxed the orders and they had no problems with them. I was there about 10 minutes total. The staff was polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend this location. read more
