I hardly ever come out to the movies, but this place was awesome!…read more It was my first time visiting a Harkins theatre and the whole experience was a 10/10. Everything was so clean and new. The people working were all really friendly and happy. I came on a Thursday evening, so there weren't any lines. Not only do they have a full bar, but they actually offered mocktails too! I choose the Paloma one they offered, and my friend had a glass of wine. It was an awesome experience and I will probably come back here exclusively for movies from now on.

It was my first time at a drive-in movie theater and I must say that it was a very neat experience!…read more It was set as a surprise actually and I didn't know where we were going until we got there. Partly too since I had fallen asleep on the way which made it even better when I woke up as we turned into the property. We arrived about 30 minutes before our designated show time (10:15p), had enough time to go through entry, get snacks, use the bathroom and park. The signs were mildly confusing so we landed on the wrong screen at first which. Luckily that was an easy correction. You just gotta know by the audio not matching the images. I liked the idea of tuning into an FM station for audio and being able to talk, or even be in a more private space to see the film. It was hard to see the darker scenes though, given some light pollution on nearby areas. That's to be expected for projectors anyways. I would love to be able to do this again soon.

The concession stand service was extremely…read moreslow, and the lines kept growing while several employees appeared to be standing around or moving at a very relaxed pace. Despite the large crowd, only four registers were open, which created long wait times and caused many customers to miss part of their movies. I understand that busy periods can be challenging, but there seemed to be little urgency to help move the lines along. Better staffing and more efficient management of the concession area would greatly improve the customer experience. Unfortunately, the slow service took away from what should have been an enjoyable night at the movies.

I decided to go to this specific location to cash in on my STUBS membership free birthday popcorn…read moreand drink since I felt like going somewhere that felt a little more celebratory than a usual mall type theater, so it fit the bill. Architecturally it's a real treat since we just don't get such updated Art Deco influenced structures with a high ceilinged lobby and dramatic grand staircases. It would be fun to attend some special event there! I also like how they put out promotional displays so patrons can pose in front of them for fun selfies. My popcorn was fresh and delicious, and the helpful staff accommodated me by only 1/2 filling the bucket so I could put the topping on it, then adding the rest of the popcorn so I could add more topping on it since I don't like dry popcorn. Smiling and helpful young people staffed both the admissions station and the concessions area, and my online reservation worked perfectly. The theater room I watched the movie in was clean and the staff came to clean up after some piggy guests as soon as the film was over. I was disappointed that the seats were not recliners in the particular room I was in so that was a major dampener of my experience as I pretty much assume they will all be at this point, but I should have checked and will make sure I do so in the future. Had not my concessions been free, I would have had to give serious thought as to whether to indulge, but that's just across the board movie theater pricing these days and it's too bad. Why not make the money back on quantity by making more patrons happy and have more of a win-win situation?

The soda machine was so gross. No ice in any of the 4 machines. There was trash everywhere you looked. Things got worse when I went into the bathroom. Again trash, EVERYWHERE. Trash cans overflowing along with the trash bins in the stalls. Clogged up toilets. A leak with water flowing down the floor drain. The smell was of urine. I couldn't believe my eyes and smell. The theater room was also disappointing. The chairs are so old and you can tell they are so dirty and need a cleaning. The carpet was filthy, the carpet in the steps was ripping and torn. I do not suggest coming to the place. If anything, it needs new management and a makeover. Or it needs to be closed. AMC should be embarrassed

Plentiful food and drink options and you can bring in a gallon per person of water so sealed bottles or empty ones work. We brought a water spray bottle to cool off and that was great. Free parking! Don't be fooled into buying it. Took us 5 minutes to walk from lawn seats to car in the normal parking lot, seriously. The ONLY complaint I have is kind of a big one. If a breeze blew by, it often meant smelling garbage. At times (and those time were like 20-30 minutes long!), it smelled like a landfill. It was pretty gross TBH. I'd still return but I do hope the next time we come, it's when the weather is cooler and the heinous garbage smell doesn't sit over the seating areas. It was unpleasant and I'll bring an air freshener to dampen the scent next time. Acoustics are fine. Heard everything so clear.
