I've been here for numerous concerts over the years. I don't mind the outdoor venue, even in the heat of summer, they always have the misters going and usually the concerts are at night when the temperature is a little more bearable. I've had seats in the covered amphitheater area and in the grass and I've never had issues in either area. For some shows they'll let you bring in blankets to sit on in the grass but definitely check the website to make sure. Yes, the drinks and snacks are extremely overpriced, but what concert/show venue isn't? The few times I have tried their shaker drinks, they have been strong and delicious. There are numerous stands to buy different drinks and food at. A few merch stands too, which can have stupid long lines sometimes, but that's to be expected. The bathrooms are ok, not the worst I've ever been in. General parking is free and I always park in the same area off of 79th Ave. I usually leave before the end of the show to avoid messy parking lot situations.

First time here with Friend. Fortunate to get invitation to see Santana at his Oneness Tour. Friend was familiar with venue which helped. Think the key is to plan your trip, arrive early, leave before the last song, consider the weather. Concert was Friday night at 8:00 pm. Left East Phoenix at 3:45. Dinner at west valley location. Merch line was 30 minutes. Weather was windy and rain. We had comfortable seats that were under the amphitheater canopy. Otherwise, would have been miserable. Concert was spectacular. Great sound, awesome stage, song set and energy. It was great to see Santana and his band play songs my generation grew up with from Woodstock to today. A true legend!

Went here recently for a concert, Billy Idol. First time here and the first major issue is the line to get in was curled around the parking lot. Even getting there early we barely made it in on time. Not like other venues where entry is fast and orderly. The security was yelling as you get close versus calmly directing people. Once inside super pricey drinks, luckily we were able to bring unopened water bottles in with us purchased by vendors outside in line. Seating signage was poor, hard to figure out where to go and limited staff directing leaving long lines of people asking. Seating itself was ok and show great. Leaving after the show was the expected cluster of people walking through the lot while cars are trying to get out of the one exit. Bring patience if you want to leave at the end of the show or leave early.

Cricket, AkChin, taking stick...I don't know how many names it's been through but I have a love hate with it. Tickets are pretty cheap when I purchase through my credit card company entertainment. It's an open amphitheater and free parking is available. We've never had issues with parking and I usually just do the lawn seats. I like being able to get up and move around without bothering anyone else. I will not go in the summer but if it's 90 and under it's a nice concert spot. There are plenty of food vendors which yes, overpriced but to be expected at an event.

I've gone to several concerts here. Most recent was Halsey. The tickets for the lawn are a reasonable price and you still get a great view. I would recommend bringing your own blanket to sit on. The drinks are expensive, like any concert venue. Service is always friendly though when buying an overpriced drink! I also like that parking is free. Looking forward to going to another concert here.

I love this venue in the winter or when the weather is nice. With that said, most of their concerts are in the summer which I find dumb. I was just here last Wednesday for the Billy Idol concert. I also came to see paparoach and rise against. I had a blast! The weather was perfect, the performers were amazing. I also came here in the summer to catch the Offspring but I had to leave early due to the heat. I was well hydrated, did not have alcohol to stay hydrated. It did not work, I almost fainted from the heat. The worst is the BO from the concert goers in the summer. The smell is too much, it's all around gross in the summer. It doesn't matter that the concerts are at night, in the summer in AZ. It will still feel like 100+degrees. I wish they had concerts in the winter.

The venue itself is a 3-4, about average, nothing special. Pretty simple and basic. The pricing is a 1. I'm already used to being ripped off at any event, but this easily doubled it, even compared to much glitzier places. One standard beer and one non-premium mixed drink was over $44.32 with a regular 20% tip. We had VIP access so I can't rate the general entry/service stuff. They did have good, calm, helpful security people and staff inside. Bathrooms were again, just ok, not bad, not great. A couple of broken sink faucets, slightly dirty (before the show).

Horrible, this place is a hot mess. Two out of the few shows that I have had to come here for have either gotten cancelled or stopped midway. Just recently, one of the pipes burst during 21 Savage's set and they cancelled the rest of his concert. Boo. It's also way too hot for them to be hosting outdoor concerts in the middle of summer in Arizona as there is not enough shade. I refuse to visit again.

I was here last night for the Russ concert and I tried to check in but it was so hot outside my phone needed to cool down so many times so I couldn't check in sadly. The venue is pretty big, however it is outside completely. So be very cautious when going to events and concerts during AZ summer months! It was really hot yesterday, 5-6 people passed out and had to be taken out of the pit (this is where I was). The security did start to hand out water some were ice cold which definitely helped! They also handed out water bottles but those were warm, then they also started having employees mist us with water which also helped but they didn't do it every moment so it kept getting hot again. At least staff members definitely tried to help out with the hot weather but my goodness, idk if I'll go to another concert here at this venue in the summer, winter yes definitely. They did have food and drinks they were serving there as well. It's a cool venue but yeah definitely a winter venue for sure, unless you are okay being super hot and sweaty. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the venue needs to have more misters and shade for being an outdoor event especially in summer time.

This is a cool venue. I was just here for the Kesha concert but I realized I had been once before coincidentally also for Kesha (and Macklemore) . It's pretty easy to get to, I didn't have any trouble parking preshow , and I was just general parking but I know you can upgrade. Security was easy, fast and professional. Clear bag policy, metal detector, quick look at bag, no big deal. Bathroom was clean and side note there's one past the entrance with less of a line usually. I had one $30 "cocktail shaker drink"-vodka strawberry lemonade.. it was good and the shaker is cute (which you keep) but I had a little sticker shock at the price but YOLO. I know they had other drink options including non alcoholic and food for purchase . There is a lawn option which is cool, i remember sitting in the stadium seats previously and them being kind of uncomfortable (although I am a bigger girl) . But this time I was in the pit and I had a blast! Great stage, great vibe , definitely the place to be! Solid concert venue in phx! Leaving the parking lot At the end does take a hot minute though .

Ask the Community - Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre

I see they have a vip lounge for additional money? Is it worth it? Is it covered, ac etc?

Is this an all ages venue? What age requires a ticket?

Yea it's an all ages venue. If for some reason there happens to an age restriction, that would be per event not venue.

Does reserved lawn seating include chairs?

Website says you have to rent them

Is it worth the $30 for the preferred parking?

Maroon 5 will be here in May. Will it be to hot to attend??? Is there air conditioning?

The venue is outside, so no AC, but there is shade. May is really nice in Phoenix, especially when the sun goes down. It'll be dark by 8 pm and I imagine he will go on later in the evening. I'd dress for summer and drink a lot of water, but it'll… Read more

Does anyone know how many seats are in a row? We are section 303, row D seats 36,37 and 38. Want to know how close we are to the aisle.

There are 54 seats in that row

Do I need to print tickets or can I just the digital tickets in my apple wallet?

No need to print. Your digital tickets just need to have barcodes that can be scanned by employees at the entrance.

How is the food?

The food us decent. Corn dogs are great! Very pricey. Bring your own ketchup packs. They're always out of ketchup. Lol .

Does the box office charge the same fees as the on-line sites for tickets?

The service fees? I would check out both. But most likely they do

Does anyone know if you can take those inflatable lounges on the lawn? I emailed the venue but they don't reply

No don't think so. They rent chairs

Do you have to pay for parking?

No, they have some upgraded pay options but the general lot is included with admission.

What are all of the various "rows" i.e. GA1,2,3,4.... For the lawn area. I thought the lawn was the lawn? Thanks

The lawn is the lawn, as in I fought the lawn and the lawn won... I was confused myself at the point of purchasing tickets as the friends we were going with had bought… Read more

A con is that the smaller kid activities is way on the other side from the bigger kid activities so if you have kids of different ages, you have one bored and just hanging until the other is done in their section. The food was decent for the most part. The funnel cake bites, turkey leg, and kettle corn were good. The elote corn was eh. The food was decently priced. To get in is $20 each which to me, is a little pricey. There should be kid pricing in my opinion. Parking is ok. They did let a car in front of us hold the line up to wait for a car to leave but when we tried to do it, they made us move. Understandable but rules should be the same for everyone. Most staff was nice. On the way out, they asked about taking a family photo. We declined. My son was on the props I guess (it wasn't labeled and no one was there taking pictures) and one staff was like "this is where we take our pictures just so you know." That was interesting. Maybe post a sign. Not my top pick, but it was a decent time.

Unfortunately, on check-in no explanation about the activities was given so we were on our own trying to figure it out. Overall, the entertainment options are fun and we had a great time! The employees are hit or miss. Some are not very friendly or helpful and some are. Colton needs to be recognized because once he took over helping us with the attractions our experience went from 3 to 5 stars. He explained everything thoroughly to us, helped me choose which would be best for having motion sickness, and overall just made our experience very enjoyable by paying attention to small details. It seems they were operating on a skeleton crew this day. We sat and tried to order food and there was only one server for everyone. Needless to say, it took quite a while to be able to even place an order. The go-kart experience runs like a well oiled machine and was probably the smoothest experience we had out of everything there. Overall we had a ton of fun, but this place really needs to work on training their employees for better customer service and experience.

The area is huge with tons of arcade games. The racing was fun although it was hard to know when it was starting. The safety brief/orientation was a minimum. It was hard to hear the staff especially with our helmets on. Also did not like that they used our full government name for the leaderboard (especially bc this was sent via email)- would've liked the option for an alias or just first names. The VR game was very immersive (reminded me of Disney's VOID but scaled down). The racing simulator and 7D experience was just ok. Waiting for attractions, there would be either no staff to help (and you're waiting in line for nothing) or an over abundance of staff hanging around.
