We've been here many times since we move back to Sonora during Covid. The food is great. Servers are great. We love this place.

Closing an hour and a half before your stated time is not a great way to do business! We will not be back.

While visiting Sonora, my husband I decided to try Sonora Brewing. Most of the beer that my husband wanted to try were out so he ended up trying an IPA that was okay. I tried their buffalo boneless chicken and the portion was small for the price. I originally wanted the buffalo chicken wings, but they ran out as well. We must've went on a bad day. Good food, mediocre beer I came in and ordered an IPA and the southwest burger. The ipa was decent but a little malty (not necessarily a bad thing) and had a bit of an off taste. The burger came and was huge with pretty great garlic fries (Parmesan would've put it over the top). Burger was well cooked with plenty of bacon and toppings - the review would've been higher on food alone. I ordered a second beer hoping the first was just off. This one has the same off taste which is reminiscent of dirty tap lines. It's like going to a friend's house and trying their ok homebrew. Worth a stop in but don't expect much from the beer. read more

Food was excellent. Chipotle chicken sandwich I had was great and burgers and sandwiches rest of our party had were also. Giving four stars because the beer selection disappointed. As a non-IPA drinker there wasn't much to choose from. Their stout was out, so it only left IPAs, blond ale, and an anniversary beer. Tried the blond and it was way too hoppy, so got the anniversary ale. It tasted like a Sierra Nevada Ale, so it was drinkable. In all a good place to eat, but they need to branch out their beer selection to include more stouts, porters, and non-hoppy choices. read more

Went to Sonora Brewing today for lunch at lunchtime. First girl said she'd see what was available and she went to the other room and another girl came out and said the same thing. She said we could sit outside or we would have to wait. We went outside and let four more guests in going out. They got seated and the first girl was talking to them while we sat on a table outside. 5 more minutes and no one came out to serve us. We left after a few more minutes and went elsewhere. I can't use the words I want to use for this slight of a twosome. Always have had good service there in the past. I have brought family and friends there as well. Doubt we will be back. read more

Our server was very sweet and did a great job, atmosphere was cool too. The food and beer were not very good. Three of us that ordered burgers, all different (medium, medium well, and well) all three came out like hockey pucks. 3/5 of our kids ordered grilled cheese, they were so hard the kids couldn't eat them. We had a great experience as soon as we walked through the door. Servers were attentive, welcoming and helpful with the brews and food. The beer was good. The food super delicious. Ordered the loaded sweet potato fries with pulled pork. Pork was tender, well seasoned and all Of it put together a delicious and filling dish. The wings were no less delicious. Spicy and meaty. A very cozy brewery off the main road in Sonora. The beers were good and they also offered indigeny cider which was delicious. So glad we decided to walk in seeing their special of the day: Clam Chowder. The Clam Chowder was perhaps one of the best that we had. All for $8. Still shaking our head in disbelief. Came up to the foothills for a memorial and picked here for dinner. The food and drink were amazing I had Indiginy cider and the hubby had a blonde beer. Hubby got the special-po boy fried oyster sandwich. I got the pulled pork fries and they were crazy delicious! Beware through! Portions on the pork fries is enough for like 2-3 peeps lol. My mom and I love hitting this place up on her lunch break because it's not only quick to choose something and easy, but the food is pretty damn delicious. I'd say one best garlic fries in town and you really can't go wrong with any of their sandwiches they are creatively genius and cooked to perfection. I have yet to go there for the beer (which is kinda the point of a brewery but what the heck lol) the service is excellent atmosphere is great so perhaps I'll see that in my future read more

Enjoy a late lunch with my family at Sonora Brewing and it was fantastic. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. I had the fish and chip and it was amazing. It was as they pulled the fish right out of the water it was so fresh. The batter was light and very flavorful. I would recommend it to anyone. The beers were great! Both of our entrees were very tasty & very generous portions. My fish was perfectly cooked! We each had fries & they were fresh & crispy. My husband and I stopped by about a week ago since we haven't tried this brewery before. Beers were okay but the appetizers didn't seem very tasty. I ordered the pretzel bites with beer cheese and to tell you the truth my stomach was hurting after leaving the place. I threw up and stomach was in knots all day. My husband as well had stomach problems and wasn't feeling well after eating the beer cheese. We think the beer cheese was expired or may have added something to it to make us feel nauseous. Definitely not going there again. Please be more mindful of the foods you're serving to the public, you can easily get someone sick! This place is fantastic. Great food, and great service. You can ask for tastings of the beers, this helped us make a great selection. My husband and I liked the Black widow- an ipa with a Porter weight and super subtle coffee and cocoa notes. Everyone in our party got burgers. 3 regular beef, one beyond burger, and a salad (sorry, there were no photos of the food left.) One bite in, and next thing we knew, all the food had disappeared. They were ABSOLUTELY the best burgers we have had in a long time. Even if you don't like beer, this place is worth the trip for their burgers alone. Very accommodating for dietary restrictions. We were so happy to find this new brewery in downtown Sonora. The Citra IPA was excellent! I sampled the IPA which was good & hoppy but ended up ordering another Citra it was so good! We both ordered different Chicken salads which were great also. Portions were good & it was mixed greens not just romain lettuce. The service was good & our server was very nice. The owner was hands on & seemed very dedicated tending to his beer making. He's a perfectionist & that's why the beers are so good! We'll definitely be back. read more

Sonora Brewing Company Excellent service, good variety on menu to include breakfast, all house brewed beers. Our favorites included the Double Punch IPA and the Thelma Blondie. They do offer small sample sizes to try the brews. Ask for pricing. They are 3 dollars each or bundled for a better price. All their beers are 7 dollars except the stout which is 9. They do sell their awesome glasses, we bought some to take home. Wed night was all you can eat ribs. Husband and friend got the ribs while me and the friend's gf got the Shrimp Po Boy and fries. Fries are battered and pretty much exactly like Checkers/Rallys fries. Po Boy was good, I think it could have used more dressing but other than that, loaded with shrimp and delicious. Ribs were tender, sweet/tangy, falling off the bone. Delicious. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and good music :-) bar on one side, tables on other. read more

First of all, this might be the only shop in town that serves mimosas and food before 11 am. So there's that. Our food was incredible. The biscuits and English muffins alone are worth the trip. Our server was very sweet and attentive, the only employee who checked on us and made sure our beer glasses were full! I regret not catching her name, because she was the only friendly server in the restaurant and I'd request her again if I come back. My burger and my husbands French dip were great, except his did not come with the mushrooms and onions as requested, and my Southwestern burger did not come out with the Fried Onion Ring tangler as stated on the menu. We stopped in for an early dinner around 5:30'ish Saturday September 25, 2021, very cool little rustic brew pub. We sat at a high top near the front window in the room with the brewhouse/bar area. Our server stopped by right away to greet us and offer us a couple of menus and a beer. We both started out with their blond ale which was far from your average lite blond ale. Very nice hop to maltiness ratio, great beer to start off with. We ordered the turkey artichoke sandwich on grilled sourdough along with a dinner salad, which was huge by the way. They had clam chowder a favorite so I had to try it. This was not your ordinary clam chowder, it was loaded with large chunks of clams, bacon and potatoes and it was outstanding! Our server told us that it's a family recipe of the owners, if your a fan of clam chowder do not miss this awesome bowl of goodness. our dinner arrived soon after and both the sandwich and salad were huge, I'm glad my wife thought to share. First the sandwich, sourdough grilled to perfection, the turkey was fresh roasted carved and not the usual pressed crap you get at most restaurants. The artichoke spread was creamy and added a nice touch to this awesome sandwich! The dinner salad was huge! Loaded with fresh baby field greensand covered in fresh yellow, orange and red grape tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, sliced red onion and home made croutons. We had the house blue cheese dressing and it was loaded with huge chunks of blue cheers. We were both very happy with our dinner choice. We had a few more beers before ordering a couple of crowlers to go to take back to the hotel room. I must mention that our server, a very nice young lady with brown hair, sorry I didn't catch her name but I would like to make sure she gets recognized as she was outstanding, we never wanted for anything while we were there, thank you so much for the wonderful service. We went in right at the end of the Christmas Parade when business really started to pick up. Service was still very fast and the food came out quickly. I had the turkey sandwich with chowder and my daughter had the burger with fries. Both of us were very satisfied with our meals. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. read more

The food is fantastic and the beer is also!! Just beware of the chairs in the main eating area, We were there on 4th of July weekend and a girl weighing maybe, if she's lucky 100 pounds, broke her chair in pieces and came down. About a month later we went there again, because the food is so good and this time my 6'2 Husband went down hard and his broke in a gaggillian pieces. Found out both owners were there and the waitress was so apologetic and so kind and of course my husband was very embarrassed. So the owner told her to comp only his meal, which we had shared and not our daughters. The owner continued to drink his beer in the kitchen and never came to see if he was ok. read more
