I was pleasantly impressed by an airport restaurant. There, I said it. This was my first time flying out of Gatwick and I wasn't impressed by the food choices. Sonoma seemed to be the best option and it was far better than expected. To begin with, the staff was pleasant and attentive. The menu was diverse with options, so rather than just a long list of burgers, wraps, and pizzas, there were some creative choices. I went with the mushroom, kimchi ramen and was amazed that it was made with fresh herbs and ingredients. Delicious. I wish airport food was this good in the US. read more

Genuinely the best airport food I have ever had! There is a sign that updates with the food wait time. We got our food within 10 minutes of ordering. The food was fresh, flavorful and filling! The kimchi ramen was comforting. The tofu curry was also delicious!! I loved the fried cauliflower and tofu nuggets that came in the curry. The servers were attentive and efficient. Busy restaurant in the north terminal. Cali style food. Not a ton of healthy options. Opted for rhe green smoothies and it was very good.

Literally one of the worst meals I've eaten for a very long time. The place smelt of cleaning fluid but nothing felt clean. My salad looked and tasted like it had been made the day before. Sonoma is located right at the entrance to the North Terminal at Gatwick Airport. There was a queue but it passed by quickly and we were given the menu to look at while we waited. The restaurant was busy, bright, colorful and friendly. We decided to order fried calamari for our appetizer, the rigatoni pasta which had chicken along with it, chicken tenders with fries, a coconut smoothie and a brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The calamari came very quickly and was not bad at all, the crust had some whole grains with it and it was placed on top of a salad... so very healthy! The pasta came and we asked to remove all the meat except the chicken and they did it wonderfully. There was some more than usual and the taste went with the cheese perfectly. The chicken tenders were a bit plain but they weren't that bad. Finally the brownie and ice cream was great. They gave it with the food so by the time we got to it, the ice cream started melting. The smoothie cane quickly but there was no sweetness or fruity, coconut flavor. You could taste some grains and that was about it. The ice cream tasted a bit different as if it was made as healthy as possible and the brownie was light in the sugar as well. Our only problem is, in their attempt to make the food healthy they lacked in flavor in some of the food. The tenders and smoothie were tasteless, and the dessert wasn't exactly sweet. read more

We came here for brunch before our flight. As the previous reviewer mentioned, the line moved quickly and we looked at the menu while on line. We were able to order as soon as we sat down and our food came in about 15 min. The veggie brunch was filling with plenty of veggies, but chai latte was tiny and not worth the 3 75. I do appreciate how they have so many veggie/vegan alternatives including oat/soy/almond milk. Servers are friendly and Sonoma is an easy way to get in an efficient meal before a flight. read more

Food is fresh and delicious!!! Highly recommend for a breakfast spot. The service was a little slow with confusion between the waiters but they were well staffed. The breakfast pizza was pure yum!!! I loved the skillet Omlette as well, cooked to pure perfection! The Watermelon Raspberry refresher was the only item not as amazing and a bit scour but otherwise I'm sure everything on the menu is worth trying. The Latte and Cappuccino we ordered were a bit cold but still well made coffee. I would recommend eating here if you're flying out of Gatwick Airport. The decor is also so nice and refreshing from the typical airport vibe. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! read more

That was a horrific meal. As an actual person from The USA i was disgusted at the club burger. They basically put three different spreads on to of this monstrosity. Just so you know BBQ sauce, guacamole and mayo ketchup does not go together. They did get the food out fast though which is a plus for airport restaurants read more

Expect line-ups at peak hours. We only wanted drinks at the bar, and that was even full upon arrival. Bottles of Peroni are £4,30 each. Specialty cocktails such as the Cynar Sprtiz are twice that, albeit tasty. Service not included in the price. An acceptable option when you are in the North Terminal at Gatwick. read more

Waited 10 mins to be served, I almost walked out. Drink never came. Breakfast arrived fast and was tasty.

Waited 10m after being seated with no wait service. Flagged a waiter down and asked him to send someone over to which he replied "in a minute". After 15m a waiter came by and took our order and was very unpleasant. I don't know if he was having a bad day but if you don't like working in a busy restaurant find another job. My family and I all ordered the Sanoma brunch with scrambled eggs. All three of our eggs were runny and cold and were completely inedible. The only item on the plate that was cooked well and had any taste was the hash-browns. We had ordered coffee and water and it wasn't brought with our meal and in fact we had to ask for it and even then we were only brought the coffee. I orders an americano and it was brought in a dirty cup with a dirty spoon. The coffee itself was terrible. read more
